I will not be eating at this particular MOD Pizza location again. I had previously had some issues with this MOD and reached out to customer service. They were lovely and even sent us a gift card to make up for some of the issues we’d experienced. The pizza quality definitely improved and I was really happy. However, I ate there last Friday(1⁄22) and was extremely disappointed. The food took a long time to come out, the line management was a disaster, and my husband’s pizza was a giant greasebomb. He picked up a slice and all of the toppings slid completely off due to how much grease was on it. He only ate half and we were both really disappointed with the experience. That, combined with how dirty the tables all were, and the slow slow service has really turned us off from eating here in the future.

Customize your own pizza! Wonderful service:) The people there are very friendly and patient! And it only takes a few minutes for the pizza to be ready! It was hot, fresh and delicious!

Absolutely the WORST customer service. Doesn’t even matter that I forgot my sunglasses at home because there was plenty of shade being thrown in MOD. 2 stars because the pizza is dank af and we had a buy one get one free coupon. I work in customer service so I understand there can be rough days but never would treat customers the way I was treated. Will return for the food but most definitely not the atmosphere.

Being able to choose the toppings on your pizza isn’t new, but here the price is always the same regardless of the choice and number of toppings. The choices available are pretty varied and numerous and I was able to try a pretty unique combination. While it wasn’t the best pizza I’ve had, it was still decent. The crust is very thin and crispy and not very dough-y. The balsamic vinegar sauce I got was good(both sweet and sharp). The sliced meats were only okay and I wish they had put a little more cheese on though. I also got to try some of the garlic sticks and they were pretty good(plenty garlicky and crispy). There was a small line when I went here for lunch, but fortunately it moves fairly quickly too. After ordering, I had to wait about 10 minutes for the pizza to cook and then they call your name. Prices are very reasonable in my opinion. Would be happy coming here again if I was in the area.

Not bad! I was iffy when I first heard about it, but my group that went today all enjoyed their own custom pizzas. Some loaded up on the toppings that they don’t charge extra for, while others went with the menu’s classics. Everyone enjoyed their personal pizzas. The garlic strips are only okay — could be improved.

First time at MOD pizza and loved it! Prices are very reasonable, especially since extra toppings don’t change the price for a personalized pizza. I got a veggie pizza with pineapple(extra) and it hit the spot. Will definitely be back to fulfill my future pizza cravings!

Delish pizza, good company spells good reviview. We got Lucy sunshine three different ways gluten free, regular with olives, and regular with olives and chicken. All were good. Service was quick and easy. Only thing I can suggest is deliver pizza to the table. But I can walk less than 10 feet. It is nice to have just what I want. Will certainly come back.

I decided to try this place out after some good Unilocal reviews and I was very pleased. It is an unusual setup – people queue up lie Qdoba or Chipotle to order a custom pizza. I went at 3pm – and testament to popularity that it was still crowded. I ordered the Mad Dog and added some veggies. The pizza prep people are really quick. I love a thin crust cooked in a wood stove oven and they deliver that. The pizza was delicious and the Modern size was perfect for me(although some may want to order smaller size). The veggies were fresh and toppings were also good. Definitely a good value. The only downside is that the wine is kind of what you would expect in chain, but at least they had wine. I will definitely be back.

Great place for pizza. You can put any topping and as much as you want. The service is great. Very similar to Pieology in CA. Will definitely return.

MOD Pizza is great! It’s a short walk from campus and they always have great coupons for BOGOs. You can find these in those Student Guide handbooks or app(not sure if it’s still going on), and sometimes they give them out on campus during events. I love that you can customize it however you want with no extra charge. I can finish the regular pizza by myself in one sitting, it’s $ 7.77(though I shouldn’t). I like to order a half & half of one of their options and then add pineapple to the whole thing. I try to get something different every time so I really don’t remember what is my favorite. Check out my photos for reference. But anything with pineapple makes it super delicious. My only complaint is that sometimes they burn the crust pretty bad, and I wish that the crust was a little thicker.

Love this place! I love thin crust pizza and tons of toppings — both of which are offered by MOD. My only complain would be that my crust gets too burnt on the edges for my liking, but the unlimited and huge variety of toppings makes up for it. I’ve never seen brussel sprouts offered on pizza anywhere else, but I love it! I wish they had bigger sizes also, instead of the Mega MOD just being a double crust, but oh well. Love that you can also order online without making an account. They also have Manny’s on tap!

First of all, I have no idea why this place is rated as highly as it is. What is Unilocal smoking? Seriously. I made a Unilocal account just to rate this place. Okay, okay, the pizza is alright, not really any better than say Dominoes, but pizza is pizza and even when it’s bad it’s good, am I right? Basically, the service sucks. They rush you to make your decision, they are straight up unfriendly, and give off a hipster entitled cool nonchalance that makes you want to vomit. I’ve been here a couple times, and each time it’s a different guy, so I hope they are a little nicer than last time. But each time, it doesn’t matter who it is, by the time I’m done through the line I feel like throwing that pizza directly in the garbage I’m so pissed off. They all act the same and act like they would rather not be helping you right now, which in all honesty is probably true because who could stand being around those people 247 Mod pizza sucks! I know, for my first review I probably sound like the biggest a hole, but at literally every other restaurant I go to I have a really pleasant interactions with the staff, all the time. But for some reason, whenever I go to Mod, I get the same treatment by their staff whoever it is. If you feel really happy and are having a great day and just aced those exams, go to Mod pizza if you want to wipe that smile right off your face because I guarantee you it will be gone by the time you make your way out of that line.

What’s not to love about MOD? You can make your own personalized pizza for a flat rate. Not only is the pizza fresh and delicious but also quick. Recently, I fell in love with the white sauce based instead of the red sauce based. I chose the Dominic that comes with sausage, basil, red onion. I also add some bacon and some sun dried tomatoes which makes it even more delicious. To complete the pizza, after the pizza is baked I like to drizzle some peso sauce on top. I have to say that is the finishing touch! I was bummed at this location they do not have their house special teas that they brew. I know at other locations(Kent) they have fresh brew tea that is really good. It costs extra but its really refreshing. I personally like the marion blackberry tea! However, I have to say this location is definitely quicker and more efficient. The University location has outdoor seating and pretty spacious. One thing about sitting outside is there are a lot of bugs(moths and mosquitos) such be careful!

What’s not to like?! Workers are always friendly. Prices are cheap. They serve alcohol. Food comes out fast. And my favorite, any and all the toppings you like for the same price! I always get a mini. According to my calculations, this is the cheapest meal you can get on the Ave(please share if you know of anything better!!). The thin crust is always nice and crispy on the edges and if you load up on the toppings as you should, you have a tasty bang-for-your-buck! My go-to is the mad dog. It’s the equivalent of a meat lovers pizza and comes with pepperoni, sausage, and meatballs. Then I add minced garlic, mushrooms, olives, and the pesto drizzle. Deeee-lish! One time they accidentally gave me a larger sized pizza. I like to think it’s because I’m nice and cute but in reality it was most likely an accident. Best day ever.

Delicious, fresh, fast lunch option in the U District. Vegan options(yay!). Warning: there is cheese on the red sauce and pesto. Ask questions. They are super friendly and helpful. :) Affordable. You can get a single/mini for under $ 5. Did I mention delicious?

Dude. Yes. This place is awesome and all the workers we came into contact with were super friendly and welcoming. Cool ambiance and lots of tables for groups of all sizes. We made an online order for a mega mad dog(pepperoni, sausage, etc… and we added green bell peppers). We also got the garlic strips but we weren’t too crazy about them. We were walking from our hotel so we left early enough to give us plenty of time to get there. Unfortunately they were packed and hadn’t started on our order. They gave us drinks for our wait and had it out after about 10 minutes. It was cool to see the pizza made in front of us and put in the«oven». We were really impressed with the food. it was really fresh and delicious. We added a caesar salad too. lots of cheese, tomatoes, & croutons. So good! Things to know: *3 pizza sizes: mini(6″ za), mod(11″), and mega(11″) *They boast: «Any topping you want. Same price.» LOADUP and enjoy!!! *They offee gluten-free crust *Milkshakes are awesome. Strawberry was blended so perfectly. Other soft drinks and beer available, too.

Gluten free pizza! So few places have decent gluten free pizza. The dough is actually good and I’m so happy I can get my pizza fix so close to work. It’s only $ 2 extra for gluten free. If you are celiac they don’t use a separate oven for the pizza so it probably wouldn’t work for someone with a serious gluten intolerance. They are always friendly and accommodating.

I feel like this is a really overlooked lunch spot right next to the UW. It’s tucked away on the corner of 42nd and the alleyway(the same alleyway in which Café Allegro resides). The interior of the shop is slightly cramped but nice and full of light, with a nice little patio for sitting outside. You can get a personal-sized pizza for around $ 8 with an unlimited number of toppings and options. They also serve salads and pizza-salads, which is a salad placed on top of a toasted pizza crust with cheese. I’ve only been once, and I tried the pizza salad. I’ve been searching and searching for a good salad spot and it seems like Mod Pizza is THE place to get salads in the U District. I was given a heaping portion of caesar salad with chicken, all atop of a warm and crispy pizza crust with asiago. It was tons of food– far more than I could finish in one sitting! The pizza-salad is a little more expensive than the pizzas but its still a great value. My food came out quickly and the price is a great value. It is right next to campus so it is perfect for a quick lunch in between classes.
