Dr. Ross has a very warm personality. Best medical visit of all time.
Except for the big pokey tube that comes barreling down your eyesight and rests on your eyeball, and informed her that I have the eyesight of a God. And by God, I mean average human being; I got glasses on this visit, sad.
She has the most enjoyable bedside manner of any practitioner I’ve visited. She explains everything she’s about to do very clearly and goes so far as to demonstrate, by making her fist into an eyeball. (I wonder if they teach that in school?) I intended on returning for my next eye exam and referring all my friends.
On a side note, the eye drops they administer to dilate your pupils for the exam, makes your vision extraordinarily distorted. Driving home was no problem, once I got there the trouble started. I was trying to read my insurance card to help me fulfill my prescription for glasses. Hard as I might try, I couldn’t read the phone number or my ID on the card! I felt helpless and remember thinking, «this is what it’ll feel like when I’m old.» Thankfully, that’s many decades away.

Nancy Y. Ross, O.D. spent a couple of hours giving me an extensive eye evaluation and fully informed me of my treatment options and the differences and risks of PRK, LASIK, and LASEK.
Much of the risk in corrective eye surgery comes from inadequate preparation and Dr Ross was much more through than any other experience of patients treated elsewhere that I have spoken. She took nearly two hours with me to make sure that everything was checked and double checked to make sure that everything would come out perfect.
