I agree with Maria, this is a cute little shop. They’ve got a nice card selection as well. It’s definitely more a woman’s shop than a guy’s shop, but the owner has a nice eye for things. It’s definitely worth a visit for nice home décor items, or soap or candles for your sweetie.

It’s amazing what we can miss right in our own neighborhood. Ok, fine, maybe that’s just me, but I did run across a great little florist and gift shop in my neck of the woods that’s been around since last August without my knowledge. I wish I’d known about the place at Christmas. It’s cute! Wait, that’s too frou-frou a word. It’s chic. That’s it. Too frilly makes me want to run screaming, but I loved exploring every inch of this place and talked to Robin, the owner, about her shop. She’s got a great chandelier that is alone worth a trip to see just because there’s not a crystal flashy thing on it. It’s not for sale, but I did walk out with a candle, incense, and a great art card from a local artist. And 3 gorgeous flowers. The kind that look stunning by themselves, one in each small vase. I know nothing about flowers, but she told me about the ones that caught my eye. There are lots of roses here, which don’t appeal to me, but also some very unusual, elegant blooms and you could come out with a stunning arrangement for a very reasonable price. Did I mention the olfactory sensation? I’m a sucker for a place that smells good, but even with all the flowers, candles, lotions and potions, it wasn’t overpowering. It was a happy smell, like spring and summer rolled together. I hope she does well in this location, because I’ll be back often for gift shopping, especially since it’s within walking distance of home! Plus, I think I need a new flower every week. Am I going to sit around waiting for someone to bring me flowers? I think not. I’m not that patient.
