Oh! Chocolate

Came here for our Anni! Margo and her daughter were wonderful and so friendly! The chocolate class was so fun! We got to temper the chocolate, dig our fingers in it, get messy and dip all our favs like strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, almonds, marshmallows, Oreos, graham crackers! And she lets you dip with dark and milk chocolates! The chocolate is just amazing and some of the best husband and I have ever had! You def have to come here but try the fun class too! So worth it! We got sent with two boxes of our dipped chocolates and left over chocolate bricks! Just amazing! We also purchased a box of their 30 chocolates, we are set for like a month or two with chocolate! Best experience

In a word amazing. If you’re lucky you can see them make all the chocolate right there. It’s a little more expensive than other places but it deserves to be. And for all first time visitors you get a sample! The owner is really sweet and really nice. If I’m in the neighborhood again I will definitely treat myself to a truffle.

I and my husband had a dinner reservation at the restaurant across the street this evening. As we got there earlier than our reservation time, took a look at this place. Right at the moment we walked in, we both loved this place, very cute interior, cozy and welcoming atmosphere, all the chocolates in displays looked super yummy! As I’ve been eating too much chocolates lately, tried to restrain myself, bought only a few pieces, HOWEVER, now I regret that we didn’t buy more!!! One of the kinds we bought, dark chocolates coated shredded coconuts (forgot how exactly it was named.) was very very yummy, not too sweet, tastes very natural, no guilty feeling after eating. Yes, their chocolates are probably best chocolates I ever had! Also, very reasonably priced for this amazing quality. I would love to go back there! Oh, and a lady and a gentleman who assisted us were both very nice and friendly! Thank you!

yup, I know several chocoholics and oh! chocolates really surprised me. the quality and taste of the chocolate covered confections beat frans hands down. unfortunately, frans chocolates have the taste of factory made chocolates and are expensive to boot!
you can tell oh! chocolates are created by hand by the ratio of nuts/​caramel to chocolate and by the light chocolate shell covering each confection. the only other chocolate that could beat the taste would be la maison, but that is another category.
but the point is, they have truly awesome chocolates for a great price. highly recommended. if you have a chocolate craving to satisfy, pass frans and head out to oh! chocolates.

Walked into this shop on a rainy day on a whim while visiting friends in the neighborhood. Overwhelmed by the choices, the nice lady in the shop gave us suggestions based on our tastes and mentioned their best sellers. Bottom line: we loved it so much, we came back the next day and bought more just before our flight, then bought some boxes for gifts.
Highly recommend the chocolate caramel covered potato chip and the marzipan Ben Hur. My daughter loved the caramel. And just about everything we tried. Yum! Wish there was one down here in SF Bay area!

Our local chocolate shop. Our six year old daughter has extremely elevated and discriminating chocolate preferences, as she’s been stopping by for a few treats on our neighborhood walks since she was a tot. She’s ogling her box of chocolates now as I type saying: It’s so beautiful I could just kiss it!
She went in with her dad after she finished her dinner, and they were so welcoming and sweet to her. They were about to close and stayed open for her and let her take her sweeeeet time picking out all the marvelous chocolates.
She’s taking photos of her precious box before proceeding to agonize over which one she gets for dessert tonight.
Oh yes, there’s a chocolate to please everyone’s taste, from dad liking the Guiness to her sitter’s favorite, the turtles, our daughter’s favorite is the candied citrus peel dipped in dark chocolate. Ooh lala. Thanks for being oh so awesome Oh! Chocolate.

The parking seems a little cramped, so bring your moped when visiting. The business itsself has ample room for a party, if you decide to get one together.
The chocolates?
Delicious. Some of them are lighter, and more fragrant than flavorful, but the texture is wonderfully smooth and melting.
I am a hater of white-​chocolate because most people make it wrong — too sweet and waxy, like those pebble-​chocolates from Micheal’s rather than chocolate. Here? She’s got it down-​pat. The white chocolate is delicious with beautiful texture and flavor. Try one of her truffles for the flavor I’m going on about.
I’m curious to try her drinking chocolate — next time, for sure

I love the chocolates at Oh! Chocolate and even had them at my wedding. During my wedding prep, they were super nice and great to work with… but that was 2+ years ago. I needed to get chocolates for a gift and naturally decided Oh! Chocolate was going to be my place.
This past Sunday, I checked the website and saw the Madison Park location opened up at 11AM. I show up at 11:45 and discover not only do they open at 12 but their website was wrong. I sit in my car and wait till 12. No one shows up. 12:10, still no one. 12:20, still no one. Is this how you run a business? No. I decided to walk to the nail salon next door to double check if Oh Chocolate even is open on Sundays. They’re response was «well, yes, but they’re always late so…» and was proceeded with multiple other stores I should go to for chocolates.
What a shame. They have wonderful product but clearly are driving their loyal customers away. I called at 12:45 and no one answered so clearly no one ever showed up. So sad. Good luck operating that way for much longer.

Went anticipating a fun evening of chocolate dipping. 2 hour class turned out to be 1:15 of talking and 45 minutes of dipping.
I realize that they want to give some history of the family, how they got into the business, and the products/​methods that they use but the first part of the class really needs to be shortened. I truly respect their passion for their history and craft, but it was just TOO MUCH detail. It should really be condensed to 30 to 40 minutes (MAX) as people do not come prepared to sit through an hour talk.
Or at least warn folks that the first half (PLUS) of the class is a lecture format so they know what they are signing up for.
The actual dipping is fantastic, you get messy and it is tons of fun. You get to take home lots of goodies!!!

I want to scream!!! You are featuring a product (penuche) on the web that you don’t have in your store??? This season???
Do you have any idea what it’s like driving on Madison St at 5 o’clock? That is an hour of my life I will never get back… Respect your customers and clean up your marketing materials. The web is not a photo album – people depend on the information… Infuriating.

I had purchased 3 of the «salted caramels» Groupons and was in the area the other day and was going to pick them up– BUT they were all out. The person was fairly friendly and offered to let me get some boxes of assorted chocolates instead. I redeemed 2 of my 3 groupons and the chocolates are delish.
I had a full size sample of the eggnog truffle and it was good. I was not expected a full piece. This place is out of the way for me mostly but I’ll be back, I want my salted caramels! Parking was easy, but it was a Monday afternoon.

I went again today. I was a bit disappointed in their selection of vegan things, and I was shocked at the price – more expensive than I remembered. When I left and had my chocolates, I wasn’t as satisfied with them as I was in my previous visit this summer.

I did the chocolate-​dipping class – my first time in the store and first time trying their chocolate.
The chocolate is fantastic. I loved the variety of treats they have.
The class was worth the money. We started with a history of the owners family for about 45 minutes which, honestly, should be shortened. Then we got a lesson on how chocolate is made. The owner is knowledgable, a great presenter, and will stop mid-​sentence to answer your questions. As part of the lesson, we got to try a variety of chocolates (milk, white, dark, cocoa nibs, and madagascar).
The second half of the class was the actual chocolate dipping. We got our hands dirty in a very generous personal pool of chocolate and had a range of treats to choose from (strawberries, pretzels, potato chips, oreos, and graham crackers). I wish we got a few more tips on how to dip. We took home a huge box of our hand-​dipped treats and the leftover puddle of chocolate.
Totally recommend it.

Oh Chocolate indeed!!! The chocolate is the best chocolate that my taste buds as ever tasted. The owner is a lovely wonderful woman. My boyfriend and I went to the chocolate dipping class this past Friday. So much fun and everyone that attended where friendly and made it even more fun. You learn so much about how chocolate grows (Start to finish). I would highly recommend this class to any age. You will have a ball. This family owned business is honest and the best.

I completed a chocolate dipping class one Friday night and was completely satisfied with my experience! This is such a fun date night or chance to get out with friends and do something fun for the night!
The class started with a history of how the store came to be established and information about the cacao industry. Before beginning the actual dipping portion, we got to taste different forms of the cacao bean from cacao nibs to white chocolcate and everything in between. I loved understanding some of the big players in the industry as well as how the flavors evolve from their natural state into the form the we enjoy.
For the actual chocolate dipping portion of the evening, we got a generous portion of chocolate to create some incredible dipped creations. We dipped a variety of different items such as marshmallows, potato chips, fresh fruit (strawberries and raspberries), pretzels and cookies and got to take everything home with us. To say I was in a chocolate coma for a couple days would be an understatement.
I loved the passion that the two sisters teaching the class have for what they do and will certainly be back for the holidays to get some delicious chocolate gifts for friends. Thank you for such a great experience!

This place reminds me of something from a story book. It was cute, intimate, and cozy. Service was really friendly.
They offer all sorts of little bites of chocolate and just being inside makes you feel like a little kid again. All you have to do is pick and choose and they will box it up and tie a bow on for you. Great place to pick up a gift for anyone that loves chocolate.

What’s not to like about this place?
Good chocolate, sweet service, and lots of selection. Give the habanero mango truffle a try. The chocolate covered toffee is also very good.

FOR THE CHOCOLATE MAKING CLASSES:
Took the chocolate making class last night with my boyfriend and friend and we had a BLAST! I learned so much and definitely have a new appreciation for fine, LOCAL chocolates. This place is 100% family owned and operated which only adds to the love, pride and perfection that goes into their candy making. It was really neat to hear their story. All the candies are made IN EACH STORE! So you know you are getting only the best and freshest chocolate.
I got this deal on Groupon and it was definitely well worth it. You get to take home all your creations too which is the best part.

Mmmmmm! Loved the shop and their wide range of chocolates they offer. And if you happen to not want to make an extra trip somewhere to pick up wine, they have a small selection as well! Win!
We got a box of salted dark chocolate caramels and they were heaven! Salt flecks were on the top and bottom of the chocolates and so you got the delicious contrast no matter where you bit. Definitely the best I’ve encountered. Plus they came in a fancy red box and so when we sat down to enjoy them, it truly made our ‘girls day’ even more special.

Friendly staff and tangy mango habanero chocolate made for a great tasting experience… but without milk, or pound cake, or something to clear out the burn it made for a couple of minutes of wandering before continuing to the next vendor.
The handmade fresh truffles were a great experience… but no napkins? Just waxed paper and a prayer :-(.
The combined mess and burn left me just short of chocolate bliss.
