My former review stands strong: this is your best local option for good Phở. If you are an adventurous eater like myself, you will appreciate how good the tripe is here. Insider tip: they will serve you café sua(hot Vietnamese-style coffee) if you ask(it’s not on the menu), drip-style and in a big mug just like you’d use at home! Also: the broth gets better as the day wears on. An excellent choice for late lunch or early dinner(they close at 7 weekdays). Reward this excellent local business with your lunch money!

My Co workers and I go here all the time for lunch since it’s steps from work. The phở broth is always delicious and the noodle bowls are great. I love that vinegar sauce for them. The waitresses usually know our order when we sit down so we never have to wait for long before we get food.

I’d probably only go here if I was very hungry after a stop at Georgetown brewery. The food was okay and the service wasn’t great.

oh worst food. they served all dark meat bbq(though i think you should mention if its dark meat.) with old rice. the only thing tasted good was tomatoes and lettuce. mo rover it was too hard to communicate with the server due to language barrier. Bad experience!!!

I eat phở here almost every afternoon before work. I love it! I’ve tried almost everyone one, but my favorite is the veggie or the brisket. the waitresses are so sweet and funny! I love this place!

Pretty good Phở and the service is great. The only problem is that the restaurant is DIRTY. The walls look like they haven’t been cleaned in a few weeks… Maybe months. I’m not usually super picky about this sort of thing, but the grime kind of crosses the line.

I’ve had Phở all over Seattle and the Phở here is among the worst I’ve had in this city. The meat was grainy and the broth tasted like it came from a powder or a can. There’s much better options close by.

I’d like to start by saying that I am not a phở fan. I understand the hype but when it comes to broth based dishes, I think you’re better off making it at home. HOWEVER, this place was great! I can’t say that I’m too surprised, the owner knows what he’s doing. The beef broth was flavorful with mild spice, slight mint undertones, with a holiday type aftertaste. The aftertaste was great, reminding me of festive holiday dishes filled with flavor, but of Vietnamese origin. The vegetables were soft but not mooshy, and the dish came with a good amount of vegetables and noodles. I had the vegetarian phở and they put tons more tofu than anywhere else I’ve been. Last, I’d like to say that this phở does not just taste like whatever you add — it actually had it’s own foundational flavors that complimented what you add and came out to a well-rounded, tasty dish that is healthy. Trust me, I’m a foodie.

OK place for phở… I come here when I’m hungry and don’t want to drive to Chinatown, W. Seattle or Columbia City. So this is my last resort. I’ve came here numerous times. I don’t know WHY the waitress doesn’t wrote down the order. They always forget something… twits. Guess that’s phở for you. Like just now. Got my phở. The forgot the streak on the side… AND the bean sprout plate… AND my iced coffee… AND my napkin and spoon. Haha, guess an off day for her. Service isn’t horrible, just today was off beat. I’ll be back, if I’m not too lazy to drive to my other phở joints. **edit** Oh, AND they forgot the spoon for my iced coffee(café su da). D’OH!!!

Georgetown doesn’t have many options for a quick lunch, especially by where I work in the Original Rainier brewery. Phở Hiho is kind of a hole in the wall in a strip mall, but it’s great! We got a table right away, and the food came about 5 minutes later. Very fast and great for a lunch half hour. The phở was delicious and very inexpensive. Great spot!

The Phở Kings found themselves south of downtown this week allowing them to partake of another new phở place called Phở Hiho. We had heard good things about this place so we decided to put them to the test for our lunch. We were not disappointed. Phở Hiho is located in a strip mall south of downtown Seattle. It’s a very small place with a kitchen on one side and some tables along the other. There only seemed to be one area where a larger group could have lunch, we had six with us for this day. The place was busy with both the people at the twelve or so tables plus a constant stream of folks coming in to pick up to go orders. Service was a bit slow throughout our entire meal. From being slow to give us menus to the odd sight of having them bring us one bowl or plate of food at a time, the entire process from beginning to bill was slow. It’s lucky for them then that while service may have been slow the phở was absolutely delicious and perhaps some of the best that I’ve had in Seattle which I found a bit surprising because my first impressions were not nearly as favorable. After the slow service when we finally got our plates of condiments was I happy to see a unique addition of cilantro but the basil was a bit wilted with black spots and the sprouts looked a bit sad though plentiful. I ordered the combination phở, which in other places is usually just a combination of meat but in Phở Hiho it also has tripe and tendon. The broth was beefy without being greasy and had a unique, almost minty smell. This could perhaps be attributed to the tripe and tendon as I’ve never had them before. The broth was also very hot as it should be at any phở shop worth going to. I loaded my bowl up and then dug in, winnowing our pieces of chewy tripe and melt in your mouth tendon. The meat was plentiful and tasty adding a great texture to my bowl of soup. Soon we reached the end of our bowls, very satisfied and happy with what we’d had. I’m not certain how often I’ll be back down in south Seattle, but given the chance I’ll certainly try to go back to Phở Hiho again. Some of the best broth I have ever had. Plus their spring rolls are amazing. Fresh and tasty. Staff was wonderful and very helpful. Food came out super fast. I found my new favorite restaurant.
