moved too seattle in 06. always hesitant on «NYC» pizza. Piecora NEVER let me down. I would drive from mt lake terrace to get pizza for the family. it was custom. my boys were brought up on that staple of Seattle. you will be missed. …

The day after Piecora’s closed, I received a charge for $ 49.69. It was the exact same amount as from my purchase from 2÷5÷14. I tried to call and email multiple times but nobody reached out to me. I think someone took old receipts and scanned the numbers again and took the cash. So they have a sheisty employee or they are scamming people for cash. This was the best way that I knew how to warn people about what is going on. Anybody who has eaten their within the last 6 months or so should check your bank statements. This was definitely not the last memory I wanted to have of literally my favorite restaurant in Seattle.

Thanks Piecoras for allowing my children to have numerous memorable celebrations here and just the occasional family dinners. We have had team dinners, date nights, my daughters college signing party and the prom pizza you made for her tonight was so awesome of you! Great pizza great service everytime! Many Seattle families will miss you. Thank you!

Sad to learn this place is retiring. That’s what made me go last night to have dinner with my kid cousin and mother. Always meant for the little guy to try NYC style pizza, as this place does it right– thin doughy slice of hot cheese meltingly gooey over the sides and a zesty tomato sauce with enough oomph. Too long of a wait, ended up ordering to go. ETA for order being up was on time, which is a plus.(I always enjoy the eggplant parm as it is always consistent, so yes, I did order it for dinner along with the slices.) Service is also what I expect in NYC fashion– brusque, too the point. Make sure you know what to order when you get up there. Clean divey atmosphere(seriously, no sarcasm in that statement!), it’s for families and singletons. Chatted with a family that drove over from Bellevue an hour early prior to their reservation, they said it was always worth the drive.

I stopped by yesterday after attending the Expand your Horizons conference held at the Seattle University campus. It was mentioned in my handouts they sponsored the pizza for the girls for lunch which was really nice so I thought I go have my lunch there while I waited for the conference to be over. Also it’s NY style pizza. I am from Brooklyn and always looking for NY pizza! Glad to say the cheese slices were very good. just the right amount of cheese and sauce. my slices just came out of the oven so it was hot and crispy. Everyone was very pleasant and nice. When I am in the area again, I will definitely get myself some tasty slices again!

Absolutely love this place. We have been ordering delivery for 8 years and have never been disappointed. Spoiled by East coast thin crust and gooey cheese, this certainly makes the cut. We always add a salad to our order, always good. Take advantage of the free pizza offer by saving the box tabs.

My chosen family is a big fan of this place, but when my partner and I joined in, I had to request that we stop eating here. They don’t have any gluten-free offerings on the menu, which is not unexpected for an Italian place(though disappointing, as so many folks in Seattle are providing at least SOMETHING that’s GF). The few times we went here, I got a hoagie-less Hero, which they put in a ramekin, which was very nice of them, but it was absolutely swimming in grease. My partner, who is not GF, was not impressed with their pasta either. He said their sauce was bland, everything was either greasy or watery and the bread was stale. So they get three stars for being accommodating but not very good.

FINALLY!!! We found a pizza place in Seattle that is fantastic! We came here to watch the UFC fight and brought our underage boys with us. Prior to the fight we shared a whole pie Combination pizza. It was fantastic! Fresh veggies, loaded with all the toppings and the sauce was perfect. Cooked New York style, big slices and floppy. So good! Happy, happy! Will for sure come back!

After the first time trying the pizza I was apprehensive to try it again because of my issue with the roasted garlic but I am so glad I gave it another try. We have become a big fan of their pizza, especially ordering it thin crust and light on the sauce. Their delivery is usually around 45 minutes which is great and their cheesy garlic bread is delicious.

I stopped by for a custom slice around dinner time. The pizza was actually not bad, and I did enjoy it. The service, however, was disappointing, just as many other people mentioned in reviews. The guy working the register was extremely rude and unfriendly. I’ll probably come back in the future to try some more stuff on the menu, but won’t be in a rush to.

I ordered an Elysian pint and The Queen half pizza. It was delicious and not greasy. The crust was perfectly chewy. They don’t skimp on the toppings. The server knows her beers. A great happy hour and dessert menu and they have a late night walk up menu too.

It’s does the job if you want New York style pizza. I’m actually a Chicago deep dish girl or a thick crust lover but if I have to eat okay pizza and I’m nearby and starving I’ll come here. The service is somewhat New York style and the décor isn’t pretty. If you sit in a booth you will also feel that you have someone next to you b/c every move that the person sitting behind you makes you will also have to make. If you have a drink they don’t seem to refill it. Not sure if that was just me the last couple times.

I really like this place. As an Italian from the East coast I find it real hard to eat any Italian food in Seattle. Most of the time the sauce is just wierd or the dough is flat. Piecora’s does a good job in my opinion. I like their calzone’s as well. I havn’t tried their pasta, and I doubt I will. It doesn’t look like that is their specialty and honestly I’ve have enough bad pasta in this city already. As far as their pizza goes though, top notch!

I’m new to the area and have spent this past weekend exploring. I hoping this will be a go-to local joint. It’s okay and I’m willing to try it out a few more times. They post they sell slices and they do but they aren’t ready and then quickly popped in the oven for a minute or two like most NY style places I’m used to. I ordered a slice of cheese and a slice of sausage. I was hoping they had a spicy sausage but they didn’t. Still the sausage was okay. It was a small crumble type sausage not the larger pieces I’m accustomed to seeing. The slices were decent. They didn’t blow me away. They also weren’t the true thin crust I expect from NY pizza. For those of you from NY or LA, it’s not like or as good as Joe’s in the village or Santa Monica(respectively). Overall, okay. 3 stars. Willing to give it another couple of tries.

Watch your bill — they’ve got some weird way of ringing your pizza up. I think we paid $ 40 too much for our dinner. The food is good/okay. Service is fine. We were in a somewhat large group of 8. $ 177 for 3 Pizzas, a few plates of pasta and a couple pitchers of beer is retarded.

The pizza is good, I’m not going to argue about that. I’m not convinced it’s good enough to justify the price. I tried the Queens pizza, and if you’re a meat-lover, this one is definitely a winner. Good sauce, good ingredients. Just be prepared to pay $ 23 for a pie + tax + tip.

*Amazing* pizza, sub-par service. Clearly, it takes a village, but this village didn’t get the memo. Made the poor choice of heading to Piecora’s on election night 2012… the dining area was slow, yet fully-staffed. After our first round of drinks was served, our waitress went completely M.I.A for over 30 min. We ended up flagging down random staff to get condiments and beer refills. Two subsequent visits(because I am an ape and somehow believed that divine intervention would afford better service on future visits) have yielded equally disappointing service(but exceptional pizza). I presume the older gentleman with the grey hair and beard is the owner, and it is only fair that I approach him with my grievances if I ever return to Piecora’s. The poor guy runs around like crazy while the staff sit around and catch up with one another(no exaggeration). If he is indeed the owner, I feel sorry for him, because he offers delicious pizza but is cursed with employees who are anything but customer service-oriented.

This is not NYC pizza. This is not a «by the slice» type of spot… and it certainly does not command 5 dollars a piece! I would have been better off buying a Tombstone pizza at safeway, letting it sit out for 8 hours, then reheating it and topping it off with jar jalapenos… at least then id have all 5 dollars worth in an entire pizza and not this silly whatever it is. Maybe had I gotten the whole pizza fresh it would have been better, but lets be real. it would not have been NYC. NYC is not ½″ thick crispy crust with old cheese… Piecora’s mis-advertises their pie and its a shame cos if they actually could dole out delicious hot, floppy, fresh by-the-slice NYC slices… they’d give the Seattle dog stand across the street a run for its money. Missed opportunity.

I went to this place last night with a group of friends for the first time. One of my friends had been there before and said it was good pizza. We ordered the Manhattan pizza, and it indeed was very good. However there are some caveats to this place. When we walked in to order we sat down in front of the cashier for probably about 20 to 25 minutes before anyone even bothered to greet us and ask what we wanted. When we were asked, we we shouted at by some rude blond guy with semi long hair. He couldn’t bother coming over to our table and instead shouted it at us from behind the register. A friend of mine was buying for the rest of us and had stepped outside. So I placed the order since we knew what we wanted. The blond guy was again rude and insisted on Payment right away. I said one moment, my friend will come in and pay. The guy walked off without saying a word and had the biggest attitude on his face over it. Very cold and unfriendly and acted as if I was troubling him somehow. When my friend came in, the blond cashier guy came back but instead walked around behind the register for about a minute or two, ignoring the fact that we were there waiting to pay. Finally he rung us up and as the transaction finished, my friend asked him«about how long do you think it will be?» He again just started to walk off without saying anything. So I spoke up and again asked, «how long is it going to be?» He replied very coldly and said«15 minutes, you guys can go stand somewhere else now». Excuse me? But how does this person even have a job here? For dropping over $ 30 on ONE pizza, I would expect MUCH better customer service. This wasn’t even customer service, this was just downright rude. I encounter bad customer service at a lot of places, but I don’t generally post a review about every single thing that happens. This incident however is something I will not ever forget. This was my first and last time ever going to this place. Judging by some of the other reviews, it seems a lot of people have recently encountered this guy and his cold, unfriendly attitude. I would suggest Pegasus Pizza or if you can’t get down to West Seattle, then Pagliacci’s is amazing as well. While I didn’t pay this time at Piecora’s, the experience will ensure that they never see a dime of my money in this place. Getting to the pizza, I really have no complaints other than the price. $ 30 seems a bit excessive compared to the previous two places I mentioned, and coupled with the rude attitude of the cashier, and even some of the other people that were working there and couldn’t give us the time of day, I would say this place is definitely not worth the money.

Their pizza sauce is the perfect blend of spices and tomato sauce but it’s not too sweet and their crust is never too thick and greasy or too thin. They have a lot of variety and a half pizza feeds two people comfortably and is around $ 14. The servers are not on the talkative side but they make sure you have enough water, that you enjoyed your pizza, and they bring the check quickly. Try their garlic cheese bread – it’s my guilty pleasure. Plus if you didn’t like your service or your pizza, let the owner know! He’s always working in the front. If you’re in a hurry – grab a slice. You dont have to order a whole pizza! Perfect for SU students who need a break from the cafeteria or the Subway across the street.

Hello, Happy Hour! It’s not exactly a hopping HH atmosphere, but the beer-and-slice deal is pretty killer. I’ll round that 3.5 stars in my head up to 4 for that alone. The pizza is pretty good, not mind-blowing by any means. I like the ceasar salad here, tho again, it’s nothing fancy. But you know what? I think I *like* that Piecora’s is nothing fancy and unpretentious, and you’re likely to see families and kiddos in here enjoying a pie together – not a common sight in this neighborhood. Awww, I’m getting all warm and fuzzy!

What happened to Piecora’s??? I was homesick and wanted a NY slice about 7 years ago and heard they had the best NY slice in town. I went in with some friends and really enjoyed the pizza. 3 years later my wife wanted to treat me to pizza and it wasn’t as good. Something was different. I thought it might have been the dough but wasn’t 100% sure. I thought I caught the chef on an off night. No biggie, it happens to every restaurant. Today I wanted to treat my team to a couple of pies. I called up for a delivery and placed my order, gave my name and other info. When the guy realized I worked downtown(not on Cap. Hill) he said they won’t be able to deliver to my area and just hung up the phone. Ummm, ok. That was rude. I called back and told the jack ass that I was ok picking up the pizza. I ordered a variety of pies. Cheese, Pepperoni, Hawaiian and mushroom/olive. I hate to say this but the pizza was even worse than the last time I had it 3 years ago. I wouldn’t even consider it a «NY Style» pizza anymore. It was way too thick and doughy and they went VERY light on the toppings. I was shocked. The taste was OK but I think I’ve finally given up on this place. The staff is rude, the pizza is average and it’s a pain in the ass to find parking anywhere near Piecora’s. Piecora’s needs a hot tub time machine so they can go back to the winter of 2005 and get the old staff and pizza chef back. It’s just not the same these days.
