Dive of dives but food left something yo be desired. Straight away, the fish and chips is done with fried salmon. Unfortunately over cooked, too much batter, and Extremely heavy. The pnw is a place with no shortage of great fish, especially salmon. This one wasn’t well executed. Views cannot be beat while sitting above the hustle of pikes; crisp beer in hand and a nice sea breeze off the sound. Stop for drinks not food

Fair at best. Cold fries. Good view food was lackluster. Good service but not worth the money at all. So many good restaurants to choose from I’m the area.

Centrally located in the heart of pikes market place. We came on the day of the Santa parade so there was a lot going on and, being new to the area, the whole ambiance might’ve seemed a lot cooler than it would’ve on a typical day, but overall… I wasn’t super impressed with the food. It was fine… But definitely nothing to write home about. The best part about the whole experience was Estrellas service… Exceptional! She was so friendly, welcoming and attentive. She’s the type of server that makes you wanna come back! We were very pleased with the service here. Would we come back? Mmm… maybe.

C’mon Unilocalers! Where’s the love for this divey bar located in the hub of all the Pike Place market has to offer? Maybe I was there during a slower time, but I found the staff friendly and fun, the food decent and the locals happy to involve me in their fun. What’s not to like about that? For those of you who know Butch McGuires in Chicaho, this place could be its less showy twin. Decorated for the holidays it’s about as garish as can be with green and red lights, tinsel overload and a giant Santa welcoming you in. The bar is old and scarred by countless patrons before and there is nothing fancy about the place but that’s the charm. I was warmly welcomed by the hostess who told me I couldn’t being any outside food in(I had a coffee in my hand) but unlike the Airport folks who pour out offending beverages, she grabbed my cup and promptly poured it into a cup and I was good to go! My Cobb salad was quite good and came up quickly. And you gotta love the robust happy hour that kicks in at 3:00pm that gives you two for one well drinks or cheaply priced call drinks. Clearly the locals know about this deal as the place fills up quickly! But my favorite part of this bar other than Reina and Anna, bartenders extrodinaire were the locals. I was embraced from the time I walked in, invited to sit with people and by the end of the night was invited back for another day! Gotta love the lack of pretense! And such an interesting mix of people. Pike Place bar and Grill is never going to be anything other than what it is, a dive bar in a great location. But that’s just the charm of this place. So the next time you are in the area, look up to the 2nd level above the flower store and you may just find yourself raising a cold one with some great people who won’t be strangers for long!

I went to pikes two times on my stay in Seattle. I ate in the bar for happy hour prices. I had fish and chips $ 17.99 for four big pieces of fish and $ 11.99 calimari. And of course drinks. The bill was $ 48. I discovered after I got the bill that fish and chips 2 piece is on happy hour menu $ 4.99 :-/If the waitress had told me it would have saved my alot of money. The food was good though and came fast. The place was quiet and except for a few really drunk patrons was pleasant to be in. I had a good view of the fish market. The second nite I also sat in the bar. The place was pretty quiet at first. I ordered from a different server. I got a bowl of clam chowder $ 5 and it was REALLY good, lots of clams. I waited for ever for my $ 4.99 fish and chips, like 25 minutes. I asked the waiter and he forgot to order it. By now the place was getting packed and i was really hungry so also asked him to bring me a cheese burger as well. I got the fish and chips and it was really good. Waited and no burger, got another beer from another server and when my server came back around he didnt have my food. He said he didnt realize I wanted the burger too? I tried to tell him never mind just bring me my check but he rushed off so fast and didnt listen. By now the place was getting loud and very busy. I really wanted to go. I got my burger and it was pretty good, but i did not care for the mayo sauce they put on it. Fries were very good. I realize its my fault sitting in the bar, I guess you take your chances that it will be very loud and crowded. I will eat there again, I will just eat in the restaurant next time.

I should have checked the reviews before entering… This place is so close to so many good places it would be a shame to waste your time or money here. The food wasn’t bad, but it certainly wasn’t the best. The service… The same. Not bad but not awesome either. I found a bug in my drink and was told they didn’t like to comp alcohol. So they tried to give me 10% off my ticket… Which didn’t equal my drink price. When I said something, they decided to comp the cost of my drink. I shouldn’t have to ask twice when there is a bug in my cocktail. Gross. The Halloween decorations should have come down by now… It was super gaudy! Go to the vendors and restaurants directly below this place because their food smelled so good… I felt like I was missing out and needed a redo…

We’ve been to this place twice, both times we received terrible service. The servers seem irritated at you like you are troubling them. And we are not needy, annoying customers either. But when I asked to sub clam chowder for my fries, I was interrupted while I was asking about it and the server seemed annoyed I asked to substitute. And the food could be a lot better. If you are in the area and hungry I highly recommend spending your money else where.

Happy hour menu is a good value, for $ 4.99 you can have a small meal. If you’re into fancy 5 star dining then this place isn’t for you. If you like the slightly retro, friendly hometown 80s vibe, and decent food at a fair price, this is it. Quick attentive service, even during happy hour. Definitely coming back. They only lose 1 star because the fries were subpar. The fish was good, and they have microbrews on tap, which more than makes up for the fries. Hidden gem of Pike Place Market.

Over charged for sure. Two crab cakes for $ 13.00. My grandma could make 20 for $ 30.00 do the math for that price I would atleast expect 4. The cook did a great job

If you are in Pike Place and need a place to sit and eat, check this place out! There is tons of seating and a large selection of food items. Also, they serve Alaskan Brewing!

Reasonably tasty food at unremarkable prices, surrounded by mediocre décor. Good service, but in this neighborhood that’s not quite enough to make up for a lackluster meal. My party of three had clam chowder, mac and cheese, a chicken pot pie, and a salmon burger. The salmon(not really a burger since it was ordered sans bun), was cooked well. The clam chowder was average. Opinions varied on the mac and cheese, but mostly we were underwhelmed. The pot pie may have been the best thing our party ordered, but still didn’t stand out. All things considered, I’d choose somewhere else if you’re in this neighborhood. The food and service were okay, but not outstanding, and there’s much better readily available just a few steps away.

I love this place and the staff! Always very attentive and pleasant. I come for the happy hour and stay for the humor of Lauren, bar manager? If she’s not the bar manager she should be. Always great service As for Brittany G. you’re just mean. Really you get off telling someone you don’t know to get a new job??! You’re a bitch! I work in the service industry too, if you haven’t you have no idea what mean shit like you said does to people. Check your food for spit britt. Since this is the Internet and we live in a free country, go back to burien a-hole and stay there!!!

Our food was pretty underwhelming here. I wasn’t too impressed honestly. We were hungry, alot of places were closed, we were tired, and here was the bar and grill. The ambiance itself reminds me more of a 90s family friendly restaurant but with more«bar and grill» type of food. This place has so much potential in my opinion. It looks like it would be more successful as a breakfast or brunch place, than dinner. My halibut fish and chips tasted more like prepackaged food, and as a halibut fisher and cooker I have my standards. But anyhow the prices were reasonable and our waiter was very courteous and friendly so I can’t go below the three stars.

We normally prefer to eat off the beaten path but when you’re hungry and *right there* it’s a given you eat where the tourists eat. Fortunately sometimes you can hit on a place that doesn’t suck and this is one of them. We ordered the grilled salmon for me and the mixed seafood grill for the husband. The salmon was a giant monster of a piece that was perfectly cooked and had a good dill butter sauce. The sides were pretty decent. The mixed grill was another monster of a meal with smoked salmon, a crab cake, and beer battered cod. All were perfectly cooked and tasty. I had the crème brûlée with blueberries for dessert and it was fine, though nothing special. I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here but the service was friendly and helpful and I have no complaints with anything.

I like this place. It’s a little dicey, but great atmosphere! Especially at Christmas time. My girls love it! They have a nice kids menu… no healthy food, but again it’s the way the place is. Don’t expect fine dining.

I don’t quite get the 2 star average. I had a great salmon diner here, followed by some ridiculously cheap happy hour drinks in the bar. Any place that offers a double well drinks for $ 4.50 on a Friday night is a win in my book. Yes, the restaurant is located in the market, but when the market is closed, it’s anything but a tourist attraction. A few things to note: — Atmosphere is very rustic«old school fish market» vibe, so don’t expect anything fancy. — If you want to use the bathroom ask the hostess for the key at the entrance. — Menu features full dinners($ 20 range) and less expensive salads and sandwiches($ 10-$ 15). Definitely something for everyone. Descent spot. I would come back again. Update — I looked at the other reviews, and most of the 1 stars look VERY fishy to me. Sounds like a lot of fake reviews from a shady suspect who doesnt want to see this restaurant do well. you might want to ignore the reviews from peeps with only 1 or two ratings, as they mostly say the same thing.
