Pinehurst West Apartments

This was a great improvement from the U-​District housing that I dealt with back in college. It’s a good place to start for someone who is fresh out of college living by him/​herself or with a significant other/​roomie. The place has one– and two-​bedroom units and looks pretty clean and isn’t a wreck. The neighborhood is not too bad and is generally well-​lit. Not to mention, you need one key to get through the front doors of the complex, a key to use the elevator from the garage, along with the key to actually get into your own unit. Talk about security! But it’s nice for a girl living on her own.
Also, the location is convenient because there’s a bus stop right across the street for the 77 (a peak express bus to and from downtown Seattle), 73 (one of the 70’s that go through U-​District and to downtown Seattle), and the ³⁴⁷⁄₃₄₈ (which will take you to the transit center if there’s anywhere else you want to go).
There’s a Safeway that’s a five-​minute walk away. Chaiyo is across the street with the bus stop, which is a great restaurant with super yummy pud woon sen! Then, there’s Northgate Pizza which is not too bad either if you want some pizza or just order for delivery.
A couple things to note about this place is if you have a car, parking might be a little tight. They do have a garage, but it’s a small lot. Also, you have to go UP a ramp and over sidewalk, which usually makes a really scratchy loud sound from the bottom of the car when you drive out.
