This place is great. Why? 1. Outstanding authentic Mexican food and generous portions. 2. Excellent selection of margaritas, tequilas, mixed drinks. 3. Very reasonably priced! 4. Fantastic staff and great service. 5. Great for late nights, karaōke, and Seahawks games!

Eat here, spend money, they get your order wrong… then you are a liar… we have a cheese allergy, our order had cheese, we tried to get it corrected after spending over $ 80 for a group… refused us service and called us liars. Food is okay, service you can decide for yourself.

Best tortilla soup ever! We checked Unilocal for nearby restaurants after visiting the Space Needle. The pics of this soup influenced our decision to walk over to Plaza Garibaldi. The first time I ever tasted tortilla soup known as Sopa Azteca in Mexico City was about 25 years ago. I’ve been on a search for a similar experience and have always been disappointed. This serving was generous, favorable with the perfect amount of chicken, avocado, chips, scallions and cheese. The mariachi music accompanying my meal only enhanced this perfect meal. I only wish I didn’t have to catch a plane to enjoy again.

This place is really good! We ordered for delivery a couple of times, and, even after having been packed up, sitting in a car, and brought to our house, the food was still as good as most Mexican I’ve had in LA and while growing up in El Paso, TX on the border of Mexico. I always judge Mexican by the quality of the rice — their rice was perfect — flavorful, fluffy, and with just a bit of bite. Like most Mexican places of this ilk, though, you’ll probably feel a bit sick afterwards. It’s a lot of food with a lot of fat in it. Not complaining, just good to keep in mind :) Recommend!

I was super hungry after a long day of exploring Seattle. Was looking for a good Mexican spot and came across this location. Feels and has the atmosphere of a traditional Mexican restaurant. Walked in and was greeted by the host and was seated right away, the place did have customers but not so busy where we had to wait. Service was great from the minute we sat down and was offered chips and salsa, till the minute we left and was given the bill. We ordered drinks and appetizers to starts and that came out rather quickly, shortly after we ordered our food and that was perfect timing as well. The food came out and it all looked delicious, and it was delicious as well. We enjoyed having dinner here and I hope you do too :)

Delicioso! They have amazing food and the chips and salsa with cabbage dish appetizers are amazing and unique! I think it is family owned and the margaritas are amazing, they offer a wide variety of flavors and have a Great happy hour. They have their own parking and they even offer virgin margaritas for the pregnant, sober, or underage. The prices are reasonable for lunch or dinner and they have classic dishes available in traditional setting or you can grab something a la carte! The atmosphere was comfortable no worries if you get a little loud and they are very welcoming and do not rush you. They want you to come in and have a good time with good food! I hope to come back on our next visit, they also have delivery and to go. My siblings say it is one of their favorite local treasures and I can see why!

This place is cool. It’s got a «family Mexican restaurant» feel. It’s also got quite the selection. Pretty typical Mexican restaurant menu. The portions are just absolutely huge. I ordered the super burrito and ate it for three separate meals. The chips and salsa that come out are good and mild, but the guacamole is so damn good. It’s the best guacamole I’ve had in a long time. The four stars is cuz the food isn’t anything to write about. It’s good. Not great.

Plaza G is where it’s at! If you’re looking for a great place to enjoy some drinks and tasty food with friends, look no further. This place even has karaōke on certain days in the bar, which is always so much fun. The portions are huge, so you always have leftovers. The drinks are also huge, if you are willing to share one drink with 6 people, this is the place to do so. My go-to is always the pollo en crema with extra mushrooms! The chips and salsa are bottomless and will just keep coming, which is fantastic. The fajitas are also really great. The staff here will remember you after you come in a few times. They’re beyond friendly and will go out of their way to ensure you have a great meal and experience. They can accommodate large groups and have multiple rooms where you can all sit together. We’ve had a group of 20 come here and still had a great experience!

My girlfriend was craving Mexican food and I suggested we try this place out since it’s so close to me. The food wasn’t anything to write home about. I had the albondigas soup which is one of my favorite dishes especially on a chilly Seattle evening. The meatballs were slightly on the bland side and the broth was slightly too salty. I guess that makes for a decent combination? I’ve had this soup with some spice to it and without, this was without. The chips and salsa were decent. Warm chips that were lightly salted. The salsa wasn’t spicy enough for me but was still tasty.

A little on the pricey side, but the do a really good Margarita here. I ordered the Steak ranchero platter and when the plate arrived at the table, I didn’t think it would fit from how large it was! Food was good, service was good, I’d return for sure.

Ok, so a quick disclaimer… I am a Mexican food junkie. To date this is the most authentic Mexican restaurant that I have found in Seattle. Next closest is all the way out in Gig Harbor. You can usually tell what you’re in store for by the chips/sals and guac and Plaza Garibaldi delivers. The Carne Asada is the real deal. Steak is of good quality, the spanish rice and beans(with melted cheese) are on point, and man, that jalapeño.whoa! Get ready to pul out the tissue =) The fried ice cream and churros is how most of my gluttonous meals end when visiting this place. Service is good(it can get loud if there’s karaōke or a Hawks game on) and the price is very reasonable; especially when considering the large portions and quality.

Stopped in for some lunch when I got to Seattle. Service was quick and attentive. It’s in the heart of the tourist district around the space needle so just know what you are walking into. The lunch specials were the way to go – stick to those and you should get your money’s worth.

This is a standard American Mexican restaurant. I had the combo with a taco, enchilada and tamale. Everything was done right, but my tastes are for something more authentic. Endless chips/salsa/pico is very nice. If you like large portions with extra cheese this may be your place. Walking distance from Key Arena if you need to grab a bite before an event.

Exceptional Mexican food with gigantic portions. I got the(I think…) number 7 combination, which comes with an enchilada and a chalupa. I got chicken for my chalupa, and ground beef for my enchilada. The chicken here is slightly bland, but all the cheese and sauce on top makes up for that. The Mexican rice is some of the best I’ve had anywhere, too. The complimentary chips and salsa are very good and met with a pico de gallo with cabbage concoction that I also enjoyed. Good stuff. I’ve had better Mexican food, but the food here is still great and the portions are like what I tend to expect from a Chinese restaurant. Since The Armory has limited quality food options, a short quarter-mile or so walk to Plaza Garibaldi is worth it if you want some Mexican food.

Excellent Mexican fare! The free chips and salsa are great! Their pico was my favourite as it had the addition of shredded cabbage. I ordered a black bean and cheese burrito(ginormous, by the way!) and a side of guacamole to accompany the burrito(and left over chips). Ate dinner during happy hour, so I couldn’t pass up a happy hour margarita(or two)… Great spot, friendly staff. Being in the neighbourhood, this will probably be the Mexican food usual eatery.

Our new go-to date night. Great Mexican food with just the right amount of flavor. They have AMAZING shredded chicken. Best feature: pico de gillo comes out with the normal chips and salsa(it’s perfect for spice-wimps like myself) We have gone at least 10 times now and have never been unhappy with a plate so far.

Steak/Chicken Fajita Combo: I think I appreciated their chicken more than their steak. It was pretty heavily seasoned but tasty. They offer lettuce on the bean and rice platter which is nice and not as common. Plenty of sour cream(extra for the chips!) Not very many refried beans but it ends up working out well. Chips and salsa: Fantastic! Light thin crispy warm chips — not too salty which is nice. The salsa has a nice clean zing to it.

It’s a good American/Mexican spot. I’ve only ever sat in the bar where the service is great, drinks are strong and the prices are fairly reasonable. The food is better than a chain restaurant of similar type, but I would still recommend one of the Mexican spots in the U District, Mama’s in Belltown, or Hecho on Phinney Ridge if you’re looking for the best Mexican food in the area. Still, a great bar and they do have an occasional Unilocal check in special for entrees…

I have been to many Mexican restaurants and i have to say this place is far best Mexican restaurant in seattle. Top notch in service and food. Also if you check in through Unilocal you get $ 5 off! Definitely I’ll recommend to my friends.
