Had a wonderful dinner here. It’s an intimate dining room with a warm, romantic ambiance. The server was friendly, smiling, and helpful even though there were many tables to wait on. The food was delicious and a refreshing take on Italian/Spanish cuisine. The spinach salad with bacon dressing was very tasty as was the manicotti. Finished with tiramisu and chocolate crème brûlée. A great find. Adjacent parking is free after 6 pm. Look forward to coming back.

Was meeting up a friend after work and found Pomodoro on Unilocal, which was near my work place. This place is small but the ambiance was nice. Went there for dinner and there was already a line. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. They were busy but the gentlemen at the bar took his time to explain things on the menu for us. At the end I wanted to pay for my friend for his birthday but he wouldn’t let me. As my friend and I were getting ready to leave one of the servers pulled us back and told us to wait. Guess what? They brought out a tiramisu with a candle for his birthday. I was so shocked. It was very sweet of them. :) Overall, customer service was amazing! Food is a little pricey but it the ambiance and the customer service made it worth it. Would definitely recommend it. There is a bar so mostly adults.

Very slow, and the food, even though it’s tasty, isn’t worth the price in my opinion

I stumbled into this establishment late on a Friday night after all other restaurants in the area were closed or not my style. I must say, I was very grateful! Seeing the name Pomodoro, I thought this place would have expensive Italian food, but it also had some Spanish dishes. I think the name, unfortunately, does not get across this wonderful variety of cuisines. Upon walking in, while late at night, the customer service was superb. They were energetic. The restaurant has a romantic ambiance with low lighting and white fabric tablecloths. Instead of the boring old bread with butter, Pomodoro provides warm bread slices with garlic-y pesto spread. This spread was to die for! I would buy it by the jarful if I could. After that, I had the ravioli filled with hummus. It was an unexpected twist on the Italian classic pasta dish. it was delicious! It was an appetizer, but I got it as my main dish — there were three on a plate, and finishing touch was an artful design of sauce on top. The menu here is so diverse and has interesting takes on classic European food. It is a great place to get together with a date, friends or family. I’m sure it’s a great spot for a celebration! Bottom line: the food here is divine. The atmosphere is lovely, and the late hours of operation is awesome.

The ambience is good, the noise-level is moderate, the staff is well-mannered and exude that wonderful quality as if you are a guest in their home. But the food seemed quite average to me. I had a pasta dish, my friend had the veal. The veal had a rubbery texture.

Came in to celebrate my birthday with family(there were 8 plp total). The owner/chef Antolin greeted us himself and was extremely helpful with any questions we had regarding the wines and menu. Everything on the menu looked fantastic. We started with a few apps; the mushrooms and the spicy tender octopus; both were very good! Everyone was absolutely raving about their dishes, I really don’t think you could possibly go wrong here. Antolin did offer the habanero oil which some of us tried and it was awesome! The staff/service was five star; I don’t think my water glass ever even went below ¾ full. This place feels comfortable, quiet and like your at home having a fantastic home cooked meal. If you like incredible Italian and Spanish food, excellent service and want to have a great experience dining out, then Pomodoro is your place. I will definitely be going back and recommending this place to others! Excellent job Antolin and staff!

This is a nice Italian restaurant find for Seattle. The interior is small, quaint, and nice; the bar seats 3 – 4 people, so going early to grab a drink before dinner isn’t really that likely, but that’s cool. Enjoy a slow meal at the table and have another drink there. The dishes are all delicious and well made. The one appetizer we had that wasn’t our favorite was the octopus, but that’s just my wife and me. It was a tad rubbery and simple, but not bad tasting. You might like it! The server(if you get the older gentlemen who is a the every-man of the establishment) is efficient, friendly, and knows the whole menu. If you’re wondering what to eat, or can’t decide between two items… he’ll steer you in the right direction… and tel you stories. Ask him about the putanesca.

We came here for Mother’s Day and were pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. We tried the penne vodka and two of us ordered gnocchi. The gnocchi was delicious and got better and better with every bite. The vodka penne was exceptional. A perfect sauce. For dessert we had tiramisu and a complimentary order of cherries jubilee for Mom. Both were delicious. I can’t believe it took us this long to come here. We will definitely be back.

After a beautiful evening of symphony, Pomodoro was almost a perfect choice for dinner. The ambiance is romantic yet not too quiet wherein you have to just whisper. The service was good. Had the Pomodoro Speciale(veg) and it tasted really good. For main course had the Manicotti al Forno(veg) and Gnocchi con Salsiccia e Funghi(veg). The former tasted really amazing however the latter one was a bit disappointing as it was supposed to have potatoes dumplings which I couldn’t taste at all probably cos they weren’t any. The dessert was mediocre. Had the Spumoni Ice Cream which was supposed to have a fruit and nut layer and whipped cream and this had none. It just had 3 plain layers of ice cream(Vanilla, strawberry and chocolate). Overall this place was not bad.

I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. It has a warm and homey feeling to it, and you can tell that they put a lot of care in this place. The servers were really friendly and they truly treat you like you’re a guest in their home. The owner of this place is super friendly too. He came by a few times to ask us how we were enjoying our meal. I came here with my BF and a friend, and we shared a bottle of red wine, a portobello mushroom appetizer, veal marsala, linguine carbonara, fettuccine with chicken, and tiramisu for dessert. Everything was really delicious. What more can I say? All of the pasta dishes we ordered were really good. The pasta was al dente, the sauces were flavorful, and the veal and chicken were tender. The tiramisu was a delight as well. If you’re looking for a delicious Italian meal, then this place is definitely a great option.

Best pasta in the world! I went with a group of 5 and all of us were amazed at the pastas we were served. Chef was very friendly and spoke to every table. They need pasta places like this in California! This place was also open later then other restaurants.

My family and I tried this place out for my sister’s birthday dinner and I was pretty blown away at how authentic and flavorful everything was! Our server happened to be the owner and head chef and was a true Spanish man. He has extensive experience with cooking and was a pretty entertaining and friendly host throughout the night. I’m not the biggest Italian food enthusiast but I still enjoyed all the pasta dishes here and also liked how it was more Spanish-Italian fusion. We tried a lot of the main dishes but the three that stood out to me were the: 1. «Gnocchi con Salsiccia e Funghi» which was a red sauce gnocchi dish with mushrooms and Italian sausage– slightly biased since I’m a damn fool about gnocchi! I love that soft, mushy consistency of quality potato pasta and they got it just right. It was served with pomodoro sauce which was a light tomato sauce and it balanced out the denseness of the gnocchi. 2. My next favorite was the SEAFOODPAELLA! The only other time I had this was in Mexico, but I swear, Pomodoro’s paella gave me a new found appreciation for it. They warned us when we ordered that the paella would take a bit longer, as it should! It was served with wild prawns, mussels, clams, and some veggies. SOGOODANDSOGARLICKY lol my only complaint was that I wish there was more of it! For about $ 25 all you get is a small plate of it. But since my family split about 5 – 6 dishes we were satisfied! 3. Last but not least was the crab linguine! I don’t normally like white sauces because of how thick and heavy they can be, but this dish hit the spot. Even though this dish was also about $ 25 you get a generous helping of fresh Dungeness crab which I thought made it pretty worth it. Again, loved the seasoning and extra garlic they incorporate in their cuisine here. Garlic=happy Elina Overall, a really enjoyable experience with my family. It’s a mature ambience but they still sang happy birthday to my sister on the piano, it was pretty cute. The restaurant is really small, tightly packed, and dim-lit but I’d really recommend this place to anybody who enjoys legit Italian/Spanish cuisine!

Definitely love the home-y, warm atmosphere of this place. The food is totally delicious, too. I’ve been here twice, once with girlfriends and another time with my boyfriend, and the service is nothing short of accommodating. Both times I had the linguine al vongole– and the fact that I ordered it again shows that it’s totally worth coming back for. We also had the calamari(very fresh, and I still crave it) with their homemade hot chili oil– which is another reason worth coming back. I LOVE their hot sauce, and while everything was great, one thing that I wanted to note is that they are slightly stingy with their chili oil– but I almost don’t blame them as it’s homemade and probably considered very spicy for others. All in all, I’d come back.

What a hidden gem. We loved this spot! A real Italian bistro feel to it Small, quite and romantic. Awesome food. Loved the bread and the green spread! I had the Linguine alla Carbonara con Pancetta which was with pork belly! It was so amazing! They also have a habanero olive oil that the owner will come around and ask if you want it. It was very good very spicy too. I just had a bit on the side. The fiancé had the Linguine con Polpa di Grancio e Champagne which is with dungeness crab. She loved it! We both split the Tiramisu and crème brûlée. We loved them both so amazing. This is an awesome date night spot, With Italian food cooked by real Italian’s. There is also free garage parking attached to the restaurant. We will be back :). The owner is super nice and very welcoming :).

What a nice change of pace as far as restaurants are concerned. It is a smaller restaurant that is quaint yet can hold its’ own when compared to the better known places in Seattle. We started our meal with Ravioli de Hummus y Trufa which is wonton raviolis stuffed with hummus, smoked mozzarella, and black truffles served with a cream sauce. It was an tasty. I ordered a Caesar salad(small) and Linguine con Gamberi e Anice. The salad was adequate. Although the entrée was good, I think it needs some tweaking. Basically it was a bowl of pasta/linguine, the sauce was almost too heavy and four wild prawns. While the prawns were prepared well and had a good taste, there could have been one or two more. Thus, I was left eating mostly pasta. The dessert menu is underdeveloped. In fact we went elsewhere for dessert. The place was busy at times. The waiter forgot to bring the salad my friend ordered. and they were hesitant to bring butter when requested. In spite of the staff was pleasant and courteous. Overall it’s a winner and I’d definitely return.

I celebrated my big 25 here with my 3 other girlfriends. The place is so cute and intimate i loved it! Bonus: garage in the back is free parking after 6pm so no worries there. It was a quiet Tuesday evening and when I walked in I was welcomed right away. Very nice staff :) The calamari was so fresh, it’s not like fried rings of calamari but oh so yummy. We were also offered the habanero oil = crack sauce. We wanted to take a bottle of it home! I had the linguine alla carbonara con pancetta. It was really great! 4 stars for sure. This is my first Italian meal since I came back from my trip to Italy 6 months ago. Of course it couldn’t compare to Italy(but really… how can you beat italy?) but this came damn close. Noodles were al dente, just enough sauce and yummy all around. I would recommend coming here with a small group of friends! Thanks for a great birthday dinner pomodoro! They also sang happy birthday to me with a piano and accommodated the cake!

Went here last night for a girlfriend’s birthday dinner and had a great evening! Started off with the calamari to share, along with a bottle of Pino Grigio. The calamari was super fresh and full of flavor. For my entrée, I got the gnocchi because I was craving red sauce. The fluffiness of the gnocchi, the kick from the habanero olive oil(by request), and the savory sausage combined with the tart pomodoro sauce is still making my mouth water. The food on it’s own would’ve yielded 4 stars, but the service is what really topped it all off. We brought in a cake from Bakery Nouveau, and the owner came out and sang for the birthday girl after our meal. He then wheeled out a little table and took his time to cut perfect slices of cake and even reassembled the chocolate pieces from the circumference of the cake to the outer edge of each of our slices. The owner and the staff were all very friendly and we were treated so well from the moment we were seated to the very end of our meal. I would definitely come back here the next time I’m in the area and craving Italian!

This restaurant has been bookmarked on Unilocal for a while and I finally got a chance to try it. It was a dark and rainy evening in Seattle… Food: One of the main reasons I bookmarked this restaurant is because it had ‘pomodoro’ in its name. I absolutely love pomodoro sauce because it is so light yet flavorful. Unfortunately, not every menu item has pomodoro sauce in it, but that was just wishful thinking. Five out of the 16 entrée menu items had pomodoro in it, which is fewer than I was expecting. I ordered the Manicotti al Forno and my ordered chose the Fettuccine con Pollo al Jerez. While he finished his plate, I only finished about half of mine. Pro tip: ask for more bread to dip the pomodoro sauce from the Manicotti al Forno. I’d give this category a 4 out of 5. Service: I’d give this category a 4 out of 5 as well. The servers are not the most attentive, nor do they remember everything. The main server asked if I wanted crushed pepper on my Manicotti al Forno, I said yes, and he said that another server would be right with me. I saw that other server walk past our table to serve another table’s guests with the crushed pepper, and then walk past me, clearly not remembering. The main theme of the servers is that they walk quickly and it’s hard to get their attention. On the other hand, they are quite attentive if they know the guests or if there is a special occasion. Atmosphere: The restaurant is dimly-lit, so it has a strong romantic setting. There are candles at every table. At the time of visit, there were white string lights draped by the windows, adding another accent to the atmosphere. A solid 5 out of 5. Not a great place to bring kids or a group larger than four people. A large group by the back wall caused some congestion in the main walkway for about 5 – 10 minutes as the group filtered into the restaurant. Reservations: They take reservations on their website or via phone. The only thing that’d make it better is if they did reservations on Unilocal or on OpenTable. We didn’t make reservations but there was plenty of seating when we arrived at 6:00 p.m. on a Saturday evening in January. A 5 out of 5 for that. Payment: They do not take American Express. A 4 out of 5 for that. Overall: I enjoyed our experience at Pomodoro and would recommend to family and friends.

I was fortunate enough to accompany my fiancé to his work’s Christmas dinner that was held here. The staff was gracious, patient and very welcoming of our group. There were many questions about the menu, and someone had questions regarding her food allergies. The owner came out and addressed every concern with grace. How lovely! The food was amazing! I loved the tapas plate they brought out. I’m not normally a fan of cheese unless it’s a good quality, fresh cheese. The Manchego cheese on this first course was to die for. I would have eaten my fiancé’s piece if he hadn’t already eaten it. I had the manicotti and he had a fettuccine, and both were so good. I’ve actually never had walnuts in a pasta dish before, but they were honestly so good. I thought my dish tasted very special. My fiancé finished his entire plate of pasta! Halfway through his meal, he told me he was full. but that it was so good that he couldn’t stop eating! I tried a bite of his, and could see why he wouldn’t stop. The restaurant has a delicious habanero oil that we wanted to purchase and take home. Unfortunately, they do not sell it at the moment but hopefully that will change in the future. Anyone who is a fan of spice should try a bit of it! All in all, I’d have to say that the party was a great success. Everyone seemed to be smiling and having a great time as they enjoyed their meals. I absolutely adore this place and would certainly come back again in the very near future. Thank you for making our Christmas dinner so delightful!
