Cheerful barista, espresso drinks served are of the Starbucks varietal. Some seating area nearby in forms of wooden chairs and benches. Accepts CC.

Of all the coffee shops at the University of Washington, Public Grounds is my favorite. Why, you ask? Well, it doesn’t hurt that I’m in the public affairs program, which is based in Parrington Hall, where the café is located. But also, the coffee is usually fresher and of a higher quality than other campus cafes. I think they use Green Mountain coffee, whereas the other cafes use Tully’s. Anyway, I’m there almost every day, and it’s the perfect pick-​me-​up before class. The staff is great, too!
