I went out of my way to go here today cause I had a coupon and needed to eat before the gym… only to discover this store is CLOSED. Leasing sign’s on the window, the writing’s on the wall. Adiós Quiznos.

MM mm MM Mm mm, tasty toasty Pesto Turkey Torpedo. The chinese(?) elder lady manning the cashier seemed odd, as if confused by what i asked. i noticed for the guy in front of me, as well as myself, that she busted out the pamphlet to show us.

Ususally I don’t review cheesy chains like this. I don’t think that’s what Unilocal is really about. But I’m doing a list on my favorite downtown salads and Quizno’s qualifies! I have to say I was a tad impressed(not blown away, but it will do for lunch) My favorite thing is the neato container it comes in! Reusable and heavy duty. Throwing this thing away is a crime! I wash it and reuse it to bring homemade salads to work. It’s good for tupperware uses at home too(storing salads and other stuff in your own fridge) Brilliant! The salad I usually get comes with chicken, and they don’t skimp. It’s a healthy serving of protein and makes it worth the price. Lastly, salads come with some pita bread wedges that are really good. I was going to throw them away(probably should have) the first time I got them, but decided to try one. Yum! It’s close to my office, so in a pinch Quizno’s is a great lunchtime salad that doesn’t break the bank.

I really truly use to HATE no more like DISPISE Quizno’s because of this store. I worked in the building it’s located in and smelling them daily was not something I enjoyed, it would always turn my stomach and not in a good way. My job moved out of that building(THANKGOD!) and into another and than another and now I’m right next door. My co-workers like them so I decided to finally give ‘em a try. I discovered the sandwiches = no bueno, I don’t like my things toasted or toasty for that matter. Salads = pretty good, I admit I do like their flat bread salads they make it all pretty for you and put the dressing on the side so your salad is not swimming in dressing like some places and it’s big enough you can sometimes get two salads out of it and the flat bread makes me happy. I do have a few complaints with this place besides the sandwiches and smell which really is just a preference thing; it’s very small not much room to move around in there. They seem to have the music on a little too loud so that the people who are yelling(actually it’s more like whispering) out numbers to say your order is ready can’t be heard which makes everyone crowd around the order ready area and make even less room to move around. If you are going to go be sure to hit it before or after the lunchtime rush because they are also very sloooow.
