Ravishing Radish Catering

We had our wedding and reception at Tyee Yacht Club, catered by Ravishing Radish. It was absolutely amazing. The staff was friendly and happy. The food was delicious! The setting was great. They accommodated virtually every request that we had. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. They truly helped to make our day special.

I was able to try their catering for a friend’s wedding – it was really good! We had the below:
Salad: Nice and light
Salmon: Out of everything, this was what I liked least. Maybe it had too American of a flavor? It was a bit dry.
Beef: This was outstanding, so tasty, moist, and delicious!
Carrots: Perfectly paired
Bread pudding: I’m not supposed to eat gluten buuut I love bread pudding and even moreso when it’s savory. I think it had onion chunks in it but it just added to the texture and did not overpower the flavor of the bread. How did they do that!?? I loved this even more than the dessert «Nothing Bundt Cakes» and I am a HUGE NBC fan!
I would def recommend this venue for wedding catering or any other event!

I thought long and hard about how to celebrate my milestone birthday — mostly deciding between travel versus staying in Seattle and partying with friends and family. I choose the latter and Ravishing Radish gave me every memory I could have hoped for. Ravishing Radish catered my party at my home with utmost professionalism, courtesy and warmth. They truly wanted to know what I wanted from the night and how they could best provide that. The food was amazing. The coordinator, server, bartender were beyond wonderful — perfectly conscientious and fully available, while at the same time, completely deferential and unobtrusive. I really can’t thank Ravishing Radish enough or recommend them more.

Best wedding food I’ve EVER tasted.
We hired Ravishing Radish to cater our July wedding at DeLille Cellars. Vickie was our initial contact at RR and Hilary took over as our catering coordinator. They were both consistently outstanding to work with: responsive, friendly, flexible… all around lovely. As a bride I was often nervous about little things here and there, but RR was never part of those nerves: if anything, I felt comforted knowing that they were going to be part of the whole production!
I’m still hearing talk about how our wedding food was the best anyone has ever had. I’m biased, but I wholeheartedly agree. There was plenty of food for everyone, and it was consistently the perfect temperature for all of our 170 guests (which is a feat!).
They were very catering to dietary restrictions and I was able to share the information with guests with allergies ahead of time so they could be prepared for dinner. I also really appreciated that Hilary worked with a gluten free bakery, NuFlours, to source GF breads.

I just used Ravishing Radish to cater and host my wedding at their Tyee Yacht Club venue. As soon as I walked into the venue I knew it was the one. We had about 80 guests and the size was perfect. They did an amazing job setting everything up and it looked more beautiful than I had anticipated.
Their food of course is amazing! Everyone is still raving about how good it was, especially the mashed potato bar.
They were so easy to work with as well. I worked with Kalila and she was so patient even when I was sending multiple emails a day and probably asking the same question more than once. She always responded right away and was just SO nice :)
I was not the most organized bride, but they made everything so easy for me and pulled everything off perfectly. All my guests thought everything was wonderful. I could NOT be happier with them.

I have never been to a wedding and left saying, «Wow, that food was amazing.» Never.
So I wanted to be sure that people left my wedding feeling that way. Instead of doing a sit-​down plated dinner, we opted to do food stations. This way people could mingle and choose what they wanted to eat. I, sadly, didn’t get to enjoy the food that night, but I am still hearing about how great the food was. People RAVED about it.
They also were able to take recipes I had found on Pinterest (baked brie pops) and make them for our wedding.
I opted out of doing a cake, and wanted a decorate-​your-​own-​cupcake station. They saw my vision and made it! Everyone loved it.
We had a last minute request to have an ice luge for pouring alcohol shots, and they were able to staff the luge last minute.
Hilary was amazing to work with. Hands down, one of the more organized vendors we worked with. I communicated often via email and she responded so quickly to any of my questions or requests. Super friendly as well!
I would recommend Ravishing Radish to anyone planning a wedding.

the tyee yacht club is a great place for a wedding, EXCEPT for the parking. yuck yuck yuck. there’s no parking lot, and it’s all street parking, if you can find any.
but other than that, the food by ravishing radish was awesome, and the venue is great since it’s on the water, and makes for a good sunset.

We used RR for our wedding, which was a casual affair of less than 100 people. Firstly, I have to say that the food was fantastic — from what I hear. I only had a few bites. It all looked gorgeous and fresh, and it received many compliments; the staff was stellar as well. Everyone we worked with was polite, professional, and accommodating. Five stars for food and service. However, there were a few logistical hiccups, which may or may not have been due to my inexperience. That is the reason this review is not higher. I would use RR again for any event.
During the planning process, we were warned that we needed to order more food, even though it already seemed a lot of food to us. We stated more than once that that this was a casual evening, with a brief, standing ceremony/​reception, with drinks and appetizers, and disposable dishware. I knew that around 20-​some guests would not be eating anything (ubervegans, young kids, those with celiac disease). Cost wasn’t the issue — we did not want to be wasteful. Could we donate anything that was not used/​touched, we asked? No, but RR would «box up the extra food at the end of the night for guests,» so we decided to order enough food for 125 people, as they recommended (though they still thought we should order more). Since they bill in 4-​hour increments, and our event was estimated to be roughly 4 hours, we paid for 8 hours of everyone’s time to accommodate setup/​takedown/​etc.
The caterers arrived on time and were speedy, professional, and friendly. We brought our own beverages, and they provided a bartender, who was also fantastic.
However: It was, indeed, SO MUCH FOOD! Way too much for the maybe 75 people who might have eaten any, many of whom who were, like us, told there would not be much food! We got started a bit late with the ceremony, so by the time my husband and I got back to where the food was, maybe an hour later, the food was all off of the tables — it was only out for like an hour. I saw the caterers pouring a giant vat of a delicious grain salad into a giant metal trash can, but didn’t really have time to investigate. At the end of the night, the caterers did save us (the bride and groom) pretty much a bite of everything. So from all that, we got two plates. All that food being wasted was disappointing, but perhaps there are rules about throwing away food after a certain amount of time? If so, I wish they had told us this, instead of telling us that they would box up the extra food.
The other thing was, except for the bartender, the caterers were completely gone, by the time I noticed at 10:30, without a word to me, so I wasn’t able to tip anyone. We also had to leave the venue free of dishes and such, so me and venue contact and the few guests left spent an hour picking up all the lingering plates and bottles and such left. I was surprised — I guess, I thought, I paid for 8 hours of time per person, so if guests/​dishes are left after the estimated end time, wouldn’t at least one person from the caterer stay to make sure all the food-​related stuff was picked up? Or at least tell us that they were leaving? It seems odd to me that, if the staff is there for 5 hours including setup and event, and there are guests lingering, one person wouldn’t stay to make sure all food trash was picked up. But again, this may be my inexperience speaking. We weren’t told that this would happen — I guess we just assumed, our event is only a few hours, but the 8 hours will cushion us re: setup and takedown, and then if it goes over, we’ll pay for it. I’m sure weddings run late or have stragglers hanging out all the time, but the caterers were just OUT at the estimated event-​ending time. I just hope that the staff got paid for those 2 – 3 extra hours regardless (in lieu of the tip that we were unable to give them).
Bottom line: obtain a sample/​serving size, if you can (even a photograph will do), get 10%, not 30% more food than you expect you will need, and get a clear picture of what the 4-​hour increments for staff actually means. And make sure you have someone save you some of the delicious food!!!

We had our wedding reception at their venue (Tyee Yacht Club) the food was unbelievable, all staff was very helpful and friendly, everything was beautiful and I love that they were very flexible and professional with all our request, (like staying until 2 am, and bringing our own alcohol).
I highly recommend them as a catering and as a venue, our night was really magical.

I work as a wedding planner in the area, and I love it when Ravishing Radish does the catering! Not only is the food delicious, but the staff is responsible, eager to help, and take care of all the details. They are a hard working crew, and a delight to work with.

We chose Ravishing Radish as the caterer for our wedding because their food was delicious and their displays were beautiful. At first we were assigned to Heather, but I had a really hard time getting her to communicate with me. After a lot of frustration we started working with Lisbet, the owner, and the experience was so much better! Lisbet came to my work to do a planning meeting! She was very responsive and made me feel much more relaxed.
The day of the wedding I didn’t have to worry at all about set up. Ravishing Radish’s staff jumped right in and made sure everything was done, set up, and looked fabulous! I never had to ask them to do anything, they just did it and did it well! I had purchased flowers to decorate the cake stand and just left them at the venue. Ravishing Radish took it upon themselves to decorate it and it looked amazing!
The food was wonderful and we got a ton of compliments. We supplied our own booze and mixers and the bartender was able to work with everything we provided. All of our guests raved about our bartender and how great he was!
Be warned that you won’t get a private tasting of your exact menu, and there really is no way of bringing your bill down by eliminating things (bringing your own booze, cutting down on dishes). However, their food and service is beyond worth the price you’ll pay. If you want a stress free wedding day where everything gets done beautifully without you or your family having to do anything hire Ravishing Radish!!!

Google used Ravishing Radish at their Seattle/​Kirkland holiday party, held at the Seattle Science Center. The food was fantastic. I would have preferred some cold items like fruits, veggies, or cheese, but I supposed that stuff is considered less classy or ritzy or something. The items Google picked were all hot foods, like flank steak slices, sliders, mashed potatoes, polenta, etc. Oh yes, I guess there was also salad and ceviche, among other «cold» food things. Everything was delicious, especially the meatloaf sliders and steak. The only weird thing is that my tofu skewer had something hard in it. I.e. As I bit into it, my tooth came down on a bone-​like thing. Not sure what that was. I’ll let that slide, though, considering how good everything else was.

Ravishing Radish catered my recent wedding for 130 people and did a fantastic job. Through the planning and through the wedding, they were a pleasure to work with. The food was clean, tasty and elegantly displayed. We had a 95% vegan menu with a chicken option and they do vegetarian food extremely well (heavy on whole grains and organic produce). They also covered our alcohol which we chose 3 beers, 5 or 6 wines and an awesome signature cocktail (a basil lemonade gin/​elderberry liquor drink that we received many compliments for). We were treated with a complimentary alcohol tasting at their restaurant Ravish with Nick who was fun as he helped up choose our drinks. All staff (especially Vickie and Lisbet) were very professional and responded quickly to our increasing (sometimes anxious and probably annoying) calls/​Emails in the weeks leading up to the wedding. The onsite staff at the wedding were also great and super friendly– they even decorated our wedding cake beautifully with hydrangeas and mums! The costs in the end seem reasonable; food was one of the most important aspects of our wedding, and I’m really glad we didn’t go with the lower-​budget caterers we initially considered. I strongly recommend Ravishing Radish!

I was involved in a wedding this weekend where RR was the caterer. The wedding was in Chehalis (at Red Barn Studios, also fantastic) and these guys travelled all the way down from Seattle. I saw them set up a little kitchen outside, which was super cool. Lindsey was the person I talked with the most and was delightful to work out details with (I made the cake, and was helping divert questions from the bride). All of the staff was super friendly, always had a smile on their face, and even at the end of the night (12 hours into their day!) the folks behind the bar were bopping along to the music and super cheerful and friendly.
And of course the food was awesome. This is the third or fourth wedding I’ve been to in the last couple of years that they catered and everything is always fantastic.
Major kudos to these guys.

I was THIS close on booking the Tyee Yacht Club for my wedding venue just to have Ravishing Radish’s delicious catered foods. We ended up finding a different venue that fitted more to what we were looking for. Too bad they don’t allow outside catering because we would’ve definitely booked RR!
We went to Ravishing Radish’s tasting event last month and was really impressed by the friendly staff and their mini buffet spread. Their chef did a wonderful job on everything. From their flank steak to their mashed potato bar with all kinds of toppings. Yummy! I would highly recommend trying them out because their food is amazing. :)

Guests still talk about how good the food at my wedding was. As with most brides, my only complaint is that I didn’t get enough of it. There was one hors d’œuvre I didn’t even get to try. Lame.
I had a pleasant go communicating with Vickie and Lisbet the whole time — on menu, on venue (we didn’t use theirs), on staff, etc. I was only less than pleased about the extensive list of what her staff would NOT do at the venue. These are things they presumably do at their own venue. Things for which the staff is still paid the same per hour rate and 18% automatic gratuity, I believe. So, my friends and brother brought in the chairs, set up and broke down the dance floor AND the tables AND the chairs. What? Really? No hand on the chairs, maybe?
But thank goodness the best man was there early to set up because it was he who witnessed the dumb server set the crate of glasses down and then let the door smack and shatter every one. These would be the glasses that I was charged for. Uh. What? Vickie finally relented after some back and forth that RR would pick up the cost. Back and forth? No. Our bad because that’s what happened, more like it.
So the food was wonderful, the owners are lovely, but perhaps the staff and their job descriptions off-​site need a looking-​at.

Selected this caterer as they seemed expedient with replies in a sea of caterers too busy to answer e-​questions. Very professional, adaptable, and reliable. Food was great, but not orgasmic. Despite this, I would book with them again. Strongly consider this caterer.

Wow! I just don’t know where to begin. I’m not sure I can think of enough adjectives to describe these girls. They catered our wedding and we also had the ceremony and reception at The Yacht Club. First the food… there is truly nothing better! We were sold immediately with the mashed potato bar! But the menu for our wedding was TO DIE FOR!!! We are still hearing about it from our guests. They are inventive, creative, and oh so talented!
As for Heather, who was our coordinator… LOVE her! She is bubbly, smart, creative, and seems to love what she does. She was easily accessible and helped us out with things we were clueless about. I know I was driving her crazy near the end but she was nothing but lovely. And even though she was totally swamped the night of our wedding, she managed to pop in to give us a hug.
As for Celeste, who was in charge during the whole shin-​dig, she was organized, sweet, responsive… a total doll!
The Yacht Club was gorgeous, although a little hot that night. But we didn’t care. The day and night were PERFECT and we could not have done it without Ravishing Radish!

Over the past several years Ravishing Radish has been deepening its commitment to artisanal, organic, and sustainable foods, making their events just so darn easy for everyone to enjoy. At a recent wedding, I was amazed by a field salad rich with nuts and with tangy dried apricots in the dressing, and also by a mint-​and lemon palate cleansing sorbet. Yum!

This food is amazing! They catered my friend’s wedding, they had to cook outside in the cold and the food tasted and looked fantastic. They’re expensive but if super good food is important to you they are worth it. I even loved their green beans — I went back for seconds on green beans!
