Above and beyond customer service. Less than 24 hours before our company’s first event in Seattle, our catering company cancelled. In crisis mode, I called up the Wedge to see if they could throw together platters for our fifty guests the next day. Although Ben was unable to fit us in, he referred us to another caterer that rang us within five minutes. He also made a follow up call to make sure that our bases were covered. All you business owners out there, take a page from the Wedge’s book! This is just the type of reliable, caring operation that the community should get behind.

Their grilled sandwiches are really good, I must say. Good coffee. Not expensive. Nice people work there. They can be a little slow sometimes due to the volume of customers. They’re open late for evening students, which is nice.

Weird, I would have sworn there was one review for this place previously. It must have went bye-bye. The wedge is connected to Antioch U. As a student there, I’m happy that this is the café we have. It’s nothing fancy, its a little small and you can see the whole bookstore, but the tables are sizable and the students mostly grab and go, so I’ve never had a problem sitting down. This is also primarily a graduate school, so the crowd is more on the mature and studious side. The coffee isn’t the best ever but its really good for the price, and sometimes its right on. They have juices, snacks and sandwiches here too. I’d rather get a sandwich here than the nearby Top Pot or Café Bella, because they are bigger, better, and cheaper. The service is super friendly and really fast. I think I might feel a little out of place sitting in here if I wasn’t a student, but not just picking up a sandwich and coffee. The downfall is that it is a little out of the way. I’m also not sure if they have their own wifi, or if I’m still utilizing the school’s when I’m there. Despite the fact that I do not spend a lot of time in the café, its the wedge’s coffee thats going to get me through a couple years of long days of classes.
