opened in May, closed by November. Sad, but true. Poor employment picking possibly. Location and weather uncertain.

Love this place! Great, healthy food and outstanding customer service. This is the place to go when you need a nutrition boost. Their smoothies, wraps and salads are the best! And free parking — across from Greenlake. What more could you ask?

Robeks is my favorite smoothie place(I use to live in Bellingham) so when I moved down here i was really sad that there wasn’t one. I was in Greenlake one day and went to check in at another location and noticed Robeks pop up, you bet I was excited! I love all their smoothies, they take not to sweet to me, but not too bland either! And you get a free boost, and I personally can’t taste them. I love getting the immune boost. Def. best smoothie place by far!

I wanted to love this place– it’s right next to the yoga studio I go to. The girl behind the counter who helped me was super friendly but the guy working with her was an A%%. He insisted on rolling around in an office chair as he made my smoothie, remarking«i once went an ENTIRESHIFT without having to stand up outta this chair!» It was just super off putting. Sorry to make you work, dude.

Whenever I am visiting my friend that lives in the apartments above Robeks I always find myself ordering a regular Orange Freeze. Quite simply it is just orange juice and low-fat frozen yogurt. Nothing fancy but it sure does hit the spot. It is very reminiscent of the Orange Julius that I can no longer find anywhere in the Seattle area. I haven’t tried their other flavors but they all seem to be made with quality ingredients and sold at reasonable prices. Definitely coming back here.

I really wanted to love this place. As a nutritionist, I am always thrilled to see vehicles for fresh fruit and«healthy» meals being advocated. However almost every smoothie item on the menu included orange or raspberry sherbert, which while ok in moderation, would not, in my mind, be something included in what is promoted there as a healthy balanced meal option. Add a large portion of juice(the base of most smoothies) to the sherbert, and you have a bit of an overload of sugar to the body. Additionally, I saw the staff using Jiff peanut butter in a smoothie, which contains partially hydrogenated oil/trans fats, which are always a concern. There WAS a fabulous looking wrap being created when I was there — replete with about a million vegetables. Why not throw a veggie or two into some of the smoothies and create an improved nutritional profile? Staff was very friendly.

Best smoothies I’ve found in Seattle so far. Yes, better than Jamba juice or emerald city. Only issue I saw was that it is a little slow, but the place is new so that us to be expected. Definitely worth a stop when walking green lake.

I don’t think I’ll ever be able to fully love a Jamba Juice after experiencing Robeks. The staff here is amazingly sweet, and I’ve talked to the owner as well who is a really nice lady. But in spite of the fact that the environment is fabulous and very welcoming, I’m a sucker for the smoothies so the stars are primarily for that. Raspberry Romance is heaven for me – I’m a total raspberry lover and choose raspberries whenever raspberries are an option. Raspberries are the perfect berry and I could never imagine not craving them. RR is like drinking a raspberry that’s ripe enough to have a little bit of tartness but sweet enough to be smooth and easy to drink. I also had my first wheatgrass shot here. I felt super afterwards, but that could also be attributed to the fact I was exercising. Robeks is a great reward after a trip around Green Lake and I’m sure I’ll continue to go back, even as I’m tempted by froyo with lots of unhealthy toppings at Zoeyogurt next door.

Great addition to Greenlake community! Fantastic salads and wraps! I was very suprised at the quality and freshness. Smoothies taste great and reasonably priced.

We have enough Emerald City Smoothies in Seattle, which is why I was so delighted to have Robeks drop its place in Greenlake. First off, the spot is prime for Greenlake runner’s and families to come and stop in, especially if after you had a bowl of Froyo at Zoe’s! The fresh juices are not to be missed! They taste amazingly different to the tastebuds than the ones at the store. Sweet and tart. Plenty of fresh healthy very thick wraps are perfect for lunch. Can’t say much for the measly salads. Lots of protein bars and muffins are also available. My perfect excuse to go out and run the lake and then stop in to rehydrate with a fresh juice smoothie! Side Note: The seating in here is very limited so don’t expect a place to sit for a large family. Take it outside.

In the cadre of Seattle smoothie shops, this one lands itself right smack in the middle. I consider myself a frequenter of both smoothie and coffee«houses» and have the self-described«Juicy Café»(convenction center) to «Burger Madness» — the ladder being horrible(really, really horrible). Emerald City Smoothie is frequented, but quality depends on the smoothie artist So, if Juicy Café is the Mecca of smoothies(or, a «10») then Robeks would find itself as an 6.5 to 6.9… Pros: Friendly staff and amazing service(say hi to Lori! She rawks!); willingness to try new recipes at your request; fresh veggies as well as fruit; great atmosphere; and proximity to Greenlake. Cons: Its a chain, so that always irks me; bad use of social networking/coupon programs; not quality food; some unnatural«boosts» and pre-packaged foods; price can be overwhelming, but that is probably franchise-based. Robeks got marked down for a bad landing and the judges from Russia were not impressed(hooray for Olympic vaulting references). Ultimately, its a check out joint, but nothing you need to «seek» out.

bright, cheery atmosphere. i was greeted with a friendly hello when i walked in. the menu is large: fruit smoothies, tropical fruit smoothies, power smoothies(these have«nutritional boosts» added), fresh juices, shakes and freezes, as well as frozen yogurt and then some wraps and other packaged foods(bars, muffins, cookies). i was instantly overwhelmed with all the choices(my problem, not theirs) but settled on a junior size(12 oz) infinite orange smoothie. this one has fresh orange juice(i’m hoping that means fresh squeezed? it taste very good), strawberries, bananas, non-fat yogurt, and ice. it was orange-y without being overpowering, thick but still drinkable with a straw, and refreshing. prices start at $ 3.49 for a 12 oz, with 16 oz and 20(or was it 24 oz?) options available, as well. there are a few chairs and tables to sit inside with nutrition books on hand to read while you wait… or sip. i imagine this place will do good business come summer with all the folks at the lake.
