I love this store. Fun and innovative designs. Nice layout, great quality apparel. Not a big fan of the perfumey smell on the clothes, reminds me of Abercrombie. I like that the store in small and not huge like other retailers. Smaller but great collections. Every time I come here, I always leave with some stuff. Hurts my wallet but my closet looks fantastic. I think I need a larger closet.

Nice array of different styles, textures and cuts. I always find something different and innovative here. Staff are pleasant and knowledgeable. Space is modern with easy access to most everything they carry in stock.
The prices can be a little off-​settling. Hint: if you like something enough, wait for the sale and buy one really nice piece.

Pro: awesome trendy men’s clothes that will make you look amazing today and will go out of style next year so you’ll have to go back again and buy more awesome trendy men’s clothes. (That said, I got my favorite ever hoodie here a year ago and I’m still rockin’ it.)
Con #1: awesome trendy men’s clothes have awesome trendy high prices.
Con #2: I’m going to have to lose roughly half of my body weight to fit into most of what they sell. Dammit.

What a fabulous store! The family and I checked out this über-​cool shop this past weekend. The two guys who work here were super nice and friendly. The men’s clothing section is at the front of the store, whereas the womens’ is at the back. We immediately noticed that the quality of the clothing was very high. The denim jeans and jackets and shirts were very well-​made, and the fashions were all trendy (but not frivolously so, if you know what I mean). The clothes are meant to last, and nothing is SO trendy as to date the pieces.
Hubby and I appreciated the displays and how the men’s clothing pieces were hung on poles via equestrian hooks, and how the women’s clothing pieces were on metal hangers with dangling charms. Little touches and attention to detail, but it all adds up and makes a difference.
Cool dressing rooms with super-​high, heavy drapes that function as doors.
Pricey, yes. But hey, for clothes that will last a long time, I think it’s worth it!

I know I’m late to this addition to men clothing to U-​village, but I’m super glad it happened.
U-​village has always been a meh mall to me but now I have a reason to come more often and check out S&S store.
The store is very well arranged and it definitely has a different feel than the rest of your typical men clothing stores.
They have a good selection of sweaters, shirts and leather jackets. Garments are really well crafted with clean lines and that long lasting feel.
They have a small selection of women in the back and I liked what I saw. Hoping to bring my Girlfriend to choose some stuff up.
The service was nice and prompt.
If you are looking for a new style or brand to try out of definitely recommend Scotch & Soda.

The Village has heard my prayers! They’ve finally have found a retailer that sells fun yet stylish men’s clothing. Their product mix is appropriate for the size of their store. But, don’t let the store’s dimensions hinder you from finding your next wool blazer, outdoor jacket, sweater, shirt, jeans. The staff is very helpful but not overbearing. You’re not being hounded but when you need help on sizes, they know their product line. The store is nicely laid out with ample room to browse and check out the merchandise. I’ll have to snag a couple of pairs of chunky sox next time I’m there.

One of the best shopping experiences I’ve had. Obviously things have changed since some of the other reviews, because the staff here were incredibly friendly and helpful. All of the employees were invested in helping you make the right decision, and notified me about upcoming sales. As for the clothing, it’s great to see European style finally percolating into Seattle. The quality is great, and worth the higher prices (especially when you catch one of their sales). 5-​star clothing, 2-​star customer service.
I love Scotch & Soda. From the clothing to the fragrance, the brand makes beautiful products. Of course, it isn’t cheap, but it’s good stuff. The staff could work on friendliness and people skills. I’d rather shop online or buy the same product at Nordstrom.

The staff here was so rude to me. I went in for the first time and was trying on clothes. They have dressing rooms where the mirrors are outside the rooms (which is horrible!!). I went to look at how the shirt I tried on fit and the red head girl asked how it was fitting. I said «okay». And she said in a very rude voice «uh just okay»? And walked away. My husband was trying to buy a coat she was so rude and was basically ignoring us.
The clothes are cute but was less than impressed with the staff. Can you say Abercrombie and Fitch of today?

Finally the Uvillage is getting some fantastic additions to its usual run up of stores. The Amsterdam based company excels at its über-​cool clothes for the urbanite. Personally I feel they do a better job in their clothes for the men. I’ve lusted after a few industrial jackets and skirts myself.
Super cool sweaters, heavy on the design, little on the detail. Just beware of their sizing which consists of #1, 2, 3 doesn’t provide much help. Most of the sizing runs small so you’re best bet is to just try it on.

Scotch & Soda is a great label from Amsterdam. I always stop by one of their stores while in the Netherlands, and occasionally, I run across a few pieces at Nordies. So I was thrilled to see that they opened up a store at U village, as they only have full stores in only a dozen US cities. So what can you expect? Smart, trendy, colorful, quality pieces that won’t break the bank. They also have sales often, and the prices here are cheaper than Europe in many cases. They have both men and women’s clothing here in equal measure. It’s in the new section of U Village, including the 3rd Starbucks and new parking garage. Definitely worth stopping by while at U village!

Scotch & Soda is my favorite brand!!! I was thrilled when this store opened in U-​Village, as I’ve found good men’s clothing hard to come by in Seattle compared to some other big cities I’ve lived in. The clothing is well-​made and reasonably priced, with a classic feel that the brand keeps fresh with fun but subtle twists. The ambience of the store is slick and rustic at the same time, kind of like All Saints without the silly industrial touches. The staff radiated an easy friendliness coupled with a tasteful knowledge of all things fashion, and both times I came in I actually ended up having a great conversation with (all of) them. Nicolas in particular waited on me very patiently and offered a lot of great advice. I’ll be back!
