Great place to get your bird watch’n groove on, plenty of great reading materials, knowledgeable staff and a fine selection of lens for your viewing pleasure.
Prices are decent on bird feed, a great source for your «local» bird information and birding maps, I didn’t know they had them!

Lots of good happens here. Birds birds birds! Staff are very knowledgeable when you come in.
If you call in response to a small ad in Seattle Times about an event you may run the risk of «I am only a volunteer, so I don’t know…». I gave up with several events when calls did not get called back.
I am delighted to see that others are getting good from this and might call them for info. dum dum dummmm!

I feel pretty lucky to live a few blocks away from the Seattle chapter of the Audubon Society. We make frequent visits to the Nature Shop for bird books and I’m still drooling over a high price set of high quality binoculars. They have bird houses, food, toy birds with authentic bird calls and so much more. If you have kids, they have great Nature Camps in the summer. Also stop by to learn more about the Shade Grown Coffee Campaign and so many more environmental issues. Nice people love to talk to you and this place is more than just for the birds!
