After living here for 2 years, I am still happy with the apartment and the location. Knock on wood we have not had any major problems with the apartment itself. The construction is done and over with and no longer has any impact on us. I would advise anyone moving in to be aware that there seems to have been an increase in crime in the area. We have not witness anything during the day but have seen firsthand a variety of crimes at night. Needless to say there is always interesting people watching from the window! On that note, it seems to be very pocketed. Immediately outside Fred Meyer and Safeway. On the other hand, we walk a lot in the neighborhood where many homes have their doors wide open when it’s hot out– which is always a good sign! Dropping down to 3 stars because in my opinion safety is a big priority in looking for a place to call home.

My review is for the management of this apartment complex. A fellow volunteer was recently volunteering at an animal rescue event at the Mud Bay in their building. She accidentally parked in the portion of the lot that is reserved for residents. It is a confusing situation as the resident parking is in the same lot as the Mud Bay parking and the signage is not very clear(the towing signs look almost exactly the same on both sides of the lot). While she was volunteering they towed her car and it cost her nearly $ 500 to get it back. It would have taken whoever called the tow company less than five minutes to step into the Mud Bay(which was approximately 50 feet away) and ask if the owner of the car was there. It certainly would have been faster, less trouble, and less expense than calling the(really horrible) towing company. They say that no good deed goes unpunished and in this case the management ended up punishing someone who made an honest mistake while trying to help the community because they couldn’t be bothered to ask a simple question. Kind of at odds with all the marketing-speak on their website about being«a place for people.» If this is an example of how they deal with people in their community I would not expect much. At the very least they should make their signage clearer.(No, I was not the one towed, I’m not writing in the third person about myself.)

I’ve lived here for about seven months now, and can certainly say I’ve enjoyed the experience. The location is fantastic — an easy one– or two-block walk to just about everything… two grocery stores, two drug stores, bars, restaurants, even a Blockbuster — anything you could want. It’s two blocks from the heart of Greenwood. The building owner has plans for future expansion, with storage and a fitness center in the not-too-distant future — but nothing has happened with those yet. The building is brand new, wired for Comcast, and the rooms are fairly large. If you’re in the market, ask about the 1-bedrooms with the dens — they’re great. Noise is never an issue outside — we’re far enough from the bars that you don’t notice — but the walls between units are far thinner than the management lets on. I can overhear conversations my neighbor has on the telephone, and he isn’t yelling by any means. Parking is in a private(and well lit) lot behind the building, so that’s easy. Units have washers and dryers, which is fantastic, and they have a very nice color scheme — very warm. I echo Heather’s sentiment about the parking — the management here can be a bit flaky, although when you ask them for something they’re very responsive and extremely nice. Getting word out about building-wide changes, though, has been iffy, and that has been frustrating.

I really like living here — so convenient to everything. The building is extremely quiet, I have never heard my neighbors. I knock it down a star for the parking situation, I got a bad spot because they failed to let me know they were assigning parking. Not a huge deal though.
