Sharetea UW

This location is not as good as the one in Renton. I always order the same thing, Strawberry ice blended. Their version of ice-​cream must mean a teaspoon of it because it was pretty much non-​existent. The location at the Landing puts in a full scoop of ice cream. To add insult to injury, parking here is a nightmare. So unless you’re a student that lives on campus or happened to be walking or biking by, I’d say not worth it.

I’m torn about Sharetea UW because the milk tea was commendable but the boba was meh. I think this place is 3.5 stars. Loved their cute, extensive, and informative menu! Their only downfall was the bad boba… argh, so close to finding the perfect boba place!
BOBA
Firmness of the boba was inconsistent. Some were slightly chewy spheres, while others were sloppy globs. While the soft boba was not a congealed mess, there were multiple mushy siamese twins. I guess they were at least thoroughly cooked.
MILK TEA
In my opinion, they got this part right! First, there are gallons and gallons of milk and creamer in the fridge– no powder formula, yayyy. Secondly, the milk and tea blend (I had the taro flavored and bf had the regular) was well balanced so that it was creamy and smooth but still light and refreshing. The tea component did not have a bitter tannic taste from overbrewing.
BOBA TO TEA RATIO
High– it would be unusual to have a sip of tea without half a mouthful of boba.

4 sweetness levels: 100%, 50%, 30%, 0%. FYI 50% is still very sweet even for someone who has a sweet tooth.
This is not a place I’d go out of my way for for boba, but I am curious to try their blended and creama drinks. I’d prefer Sharetea UW more than Oasis (the International District location).

I came here because it was the new big bubble tea place, but when you’re a fan of bubble tea it’s like being a coffee snob — you have your preferences and are extremely disappointed when they can’t be met. That was here — I needed non-​dairy options and they couldn’t accommodate. The place was packed and clean, so I’m sure that isn’t going to stop them from succeeding, but would be a nice addition.

came here per my friend’s recommendation during the u district street fair on a saturday afternoon and it was packed! even so, they were efficient and orders came quickly.
there is a nice visual of how sweet you’d like your drink to be plus other options. my cashier didn’t point that out to me but i noticed another did and she was friendly.
i ordered the blended ice taro with pudding regular sweetness though i think i’ll go half sweet next time. however the regular wasn’t overpowering, i enjoyed it. it did mask the pudding flavor though so it ended up tasting flavorless.
i like that their menu is organized and provide visuals. personally i don’t crave bubble tea that often but i would recommend it to everyone else that does.

I love this place! I’ve tried a few tea places here in seattle and by far, this place has been my favorite! There’s so many choices. The thing that stood out to me the most was the options on how much ice and sweetness. I was like «whhhaaatttt???» That was sooo new to me. Great touch! Most of the time i would order one for now and extras for later. So it’s so nice that they ask about how much ice we want. That was i dint forget to say no ice for the ones I’m saving for later. I got the coffee milk tea, and the Hawaiian fruit tea. Both were delicious. The girl that was helping was also super nice. There werea few people waiting behind me, and she was so patient helping me decide on what drinks to get. She continued to tell me what her favorites were, how much sweetness and ice she liked for each different drink and why. Overall great experience. I hope one of these days there will be one in Ohio! I would be there all the time

A very consistently good tea. I’ve tried many different flavors here, and everything I’ve had so far tasted very well mixed and never watery. I would however advise against going with 100% sweetness for almost any drink; it’s awfully sweet, and the sugar starts to overwhelm the drink at that point.
The tea bases themselves are always very good, and always taste the same when I go back. However, I feel that the toppings I personally like leave a little something to be desired. My favorite drink would probably be a black tea with ice cream and mini boba added, and whenever I order this, the ice cream is usually already halfway mixed up into the drink by the time I receive it. The mini boba often are stuck into into clumps at least several times in each drink I order with it added in. I know that it’s hard to keep mini boba un-​clumped though, so I don’t mind this as much. Their regular boba is consistently soft and never clumpy though, which is still a pretty amazing feat within itself.
The staff seem very friendly, and it’s great that their stamp card system is in an app, I always forget to bring in physical stamp cards! Overall, a good place to get tea.

I think I go here too often for my own good.
Sharetea always satisfy my cravings and is just so damn good. BEST BUBBLE TEA EVER. They also have a reward system, so don’t let it go to waste, because you will be back. My favorites are Mango or any of the regular milk tea w/​80% sweetness.
They also just recently added some earl grey flavors (crema, fresh milk, regular milk)!

Sharetea is easily one of the best bubble tea places in the U District — that’s hard to do when there are bubble tea shops on just about every block.
My go-​to drink each time is the mango green milk tea with baby boba. The boba is always soft and chewy and never hardens up! My drink is consistent every time and I don’t ever have to worry about the whole cup being filled with ice and getting only a splash of drink. My favorite part of the drink are the mango purée chunks!
I can’t think of anything negative to say about this place. The employees are kind and happy to give suggestions, service is quick and the interior is clean and modern (hard to find that in the UD.)
This place is a must try :)

This place is like the Papa Johns of Bubble Tea– «better ingredients, better boba, Sharetea!» Their milk tea is already dairy-​free, and I’ve never been to a place where you can specify what percentage of sweetness you want, and how much ice you want. The gf had this awesome mango-​green tea which I regret not getting while I had an ok taro milk tea which I should’ve ordered sweeter than 50%. Friendly staff! One other location in Renton I believe.

So one of the first things that I did when I move to the area was find a bubble tea shop. I even tried ones on the Eastside but none of them were to my taste. What made Sharetea my go-​to spot for tea cravings was that they specialized in drinks using tea! You’d be surprised how many shops use powered drink mixes or run out of tapioca pearls. Argh, come on! You had one job to do! Thankfully that doesn’t happen here.
So far my favorite drink is the Hokkaido milk tea as it’s got that rich caramel-​like sweetness. But not to fear, they’ve got other drinks to satisfy all tastes. Their fruit teas such as the Mango and Passionfruit tea is refreshing and light. Great for the upcoming summer heat.

One of the best bubble tea places in the Seattle area!
Sharetea is a Taiwanese chain that has stores all over the US and the world. The menu and recipes are basically the same at every location depending on what inventory each wants to support. However, this particular location is sweeter than others I’ve been to and more expensive. Luckily, the sugar and ice levels are adjustable! Sharetea’s operations are incredibly efficient, handling lines going out the door in 10 – 20 minutes. The tapioca is fresh and a nice texture. Flavors taste as expected and are subtle instead of overpowering. Overall, it’s still a great place for boba and one of my favorite chains.
My favorite drinks are Mango Green Milk Tea and Okinawa Milk Tea. They also have the salty foam that most other places in the area don’t offer.

I freaking love Sharetea. It is soooo good. Super clean, fresh and delicious. I like that you can customize sweetness level and ice amount. I usually get 25% or 50% sweet and the tea flavor is just awesome. The regular black milk tea is awesome. I also love the Taro and the Mango Green Tea.
I usually get a drink whenever I am in the area. Wish there was a location up North! Probably my favorite place for Milk Tea in Seattle!

Sharetea! Yes! I love love love their dranks. They quench my thirst in the most perfect way.
If you come to Sharetea, you HAVE to get any of the Creama Drinks. It’s the first place I’ve ever tried a drink where you have to cut open the cup and sip at an angle to get the Creama and tea at the same rate!
My favorite thing to get here is the Wintermelon Creama. There is just something about the flavor that reminds me so much of another bubble tea place called TPumps in San Francisco! The Black Tea Creama is a classic and is really enjoyable as well. I’ve also tried the Mango Black Tea Creama and Strawberry Black Tea Creama which were both so yummy, but more on the sweeter side!
The blended taro smoothie and the mango blended smoothie are both oldies but goodies and I love getting these drinks during the summertime because of how good the consistency is when they melt!
I’m pretty sure that I favor this location more than the Renton one. The employees here are so friendly and I SWEAR TO YOU that they make better drinks than the one down south. They put something in their creama at this location. Probably addictives. It’s all good, though, they can take all my moneys!

I am obsessed with Sharetea. Hands down, the best bubble tea I’ve tried in Seattle. I’ve been visiting at least once a week; I might be becoming too dependent on this place!
My favorite drink to order here is the Okinawa milk tea and subbing their regular tapioca pearls with the mini ones. If I want to treat myself, I add egg pudding to it as well. I also like the mango blended ice with ice cream — it’s the perfect choice if you’re looking for something refreshing on a warm and sunny day. I really appreciate being able to customize the sweetness and ice level for most of their drinks!
Compared to other bubble tea places on the Ave and the ID (Oasis, Ambrosia, Mee Sum, etc.), ShareTea is slightly more expensive; however, I think the quality is better than the other establishments. The only place I think that comes close to rivaling ShareTea is Looking for Chai.
The service is quick, helpful, and extremely friendly! If you’re not sure what to order, don’t be afraid to ask. They’ll help you out.

My friends and I stopped at Sharetea for a little since one of my friends have been dying for some boba tea. She recently moved back to Washington and haven’t had any type of boba tea since she’s moved away so she’s been craving.
I ended up with a strawberry black tea creama, which I presume is like strawberry black tea with sea salt at 50% sweetness. My boyfriend had a honey lemon tea with aloe. My friend had a peach tea with boba and her boyfriend got a passion fruit tea with lychee jelly.
I hail from the Bay Area, lived in Southern California, and I currently reside in Las Vegas where I’m spoiled to death by my favorite tea place. I can’t say that I’m impressed by Sharetea despite the great reviews and how awesome it’s been blooming in California. In fact, I’m quite disappointed. Then again, perhaps I am too picky and had high expectations.
My strawberry black tea crema had no flavor to it. In fact, if I was just given this, I wouldn’t have ever guessed that it was tea. It did not have any tea flavor to it. It had a bit of tanginess from the strawberries and a hint of milky flavor to it. That’s about it. Also, after a while of sitting, the drink started to separate. I’m not sure if that’s supposed to happen …
It was the same for my friend’s peach tea as well — no tea flavor at all. Just sweetness. Needless to say, both of us did not finish our drinks. We ended up only drinking half and I only drank half of it cause I didn’t want to waste the whole thing.
My boyfriend’s drink was decent. The lemon in his drink was like a punch in your face though. It was good but … it was a lemon drink at most. Kind of like a lemonade. I’m not really sure if it’s supposed to have tea in it or not. It was under the fruit tea section.
The prices were also a bit steep compared to the prices in other cities but I suppose that really depends on the standard of living in each city. Or if it’s the franchise, then it’s the owner’s decision.
Overall, it’s just not my cup of tea. I don’t know if it’s because we ordered the wrong drinks or maybe I’m just spoiled and picky. Sharetea just didn’t capture me with their product. I really needed them to bring the tea flavor out. I mean, if I was there for just fruit flavors, I wouldn’t be going to a boba tea place. While I’m not sure if there are other tea places in Seattle that are better since I don’t live in the area, I can be sure that I’ve had better. Nothing was particularly worth remembering for me. I probably won’t be back to Sharetea.

Taiwanese bubble tea with a large selection of flavors. You can also customize your ice and sugar levels (100%, 80% 50%…). You can usually find parking along the side streets. I enjoyed the green tea with yakult (Chinese yogurt drink) that I ordered.

This is one of my favorite reviews because I LOVE BOBA and I’ve been on a pretty much perpetual quest to find the best boba. My husband thinks I’m a little obsessed, but honestly I just appreciate high quality, fresh ingredient milk tea :) Also, I’ve had a LOT of boba in my life, from really legit places like Taiwan and the Bay Area — so I know immediately what I like and what I don’t.
So, I write this without hesitation– I LOVE Sharetea, and I think it’s the best boba in Seattle for sure (seriously, give other places a try, and you’ll likely agree), and one of my faves in the Bay Area (though there are a plethora of great boba places so it’s hard to tell if I just haven’t yet discovered the best). Reasons why I love Sharetea:
– uses real ingredients as much as possible (i.e. real taro bits vs just fake-​tasting purple powder)
– hand shakes/​mixes
– you can adjust sweetness and ice level
– has CONSISTENTLY really good pearls that have the perfect texture and are just a touch sweet
– has one of the best plain milk teas out there (that’s a good test of the quality of a boba place)
I like the creamas (which are milkier versions of milk tea) but the milks take getting used to– maybe if you are a dairy lover you’d enjoy them more! But, you can’t go wrong with the pure and simple Classic Milk Black or Green Tea with pearls. The flavor is excellent– just the right amount of tea + milk.
My favorite as mentioned earlier is the Mango Green Milk Tea. I also like the QQ Happy Family Milk Tea because how could you not like a drink with QQ and Happy in the name? And because it has a combo of all the great fillings like pudding, pearls, jellies. YUM. You really can’t go wrong with anything, though I don’t really go with the plain fruit tea or ice blended because I’m a milky person. That sounds wierd. But anyways, you will not regret your Sharetea experience– overall it’s amazing! :)
Only minor downside is it can get crowded at night so you may wait a bit. But the staff works hard and are really friendly!

THE ONLY LEGITIMATELY GOOD BUBBLE TEA IN THE WHOLE SEATAC AREA! It’s REAL tea, not powder!
Flavors I’ve tried so far:
Jasmine Milk tea: amazing. get it with 30% sweetness
Passionfruit green tea with aloe. so so so good. hits the spot if you want that fruity passionfruit flavor
Kiwi juice with ice jelly: LOVED IT!
Lines can be long but I mean it’s good bubble tea! You can wait! I always crave it but I live so far!

Being that I am from Southern California, home of many many tea spots, my standards are quite high. Sharetea did not meet my expectations but it is probably one of the more better tea spots in Seattle.
Their menu is extensive and quite similar to the ones in Socal; especially the «crema» drinks which are also known as «sea cream/​salt» drinks. I wasn’t in the mood for something too heavy/​creamy so I ordered the Passionfruit Green Tea with aloe vera. What I did like was that you are able to customize your drink as far as how much ice you want, how sweet you want it and what additional toppings you’d like to add for an additional charge.
I had told the cashier I wanted my drink to be 50% less sweet but it was still extremely sweet. My friends did not seem all that impressed with their drinks either except for the strawberry ice blended with lychee jelly and ice cream.
Warning: prices here are really really steep. My Passionfruit Green Tea with aloe vera came out to be $ 4.25. I could get the same drink for atleast a whole dollar less in California. Also, trying to find parking is a nightmare. There is no parking lot so you have to find street parking near by and walk. I am aware that it is located in U-​District, targeting mostly the student population but still. I just find the location to be really inconvenient.
3 stars because I am in the middle with how I feel about this place. Like I already said, Seattle doesn’t have many tea spots so I would definitely check this place out if you live in Seattle.
