Great staff, great drinks, music selection is on point, and crab nachos are the best nachos in the PNW.

I Unilocaled a couple bars before my Seattle trip and bookmarked Some Random Bar because I liked the name. I was hanging out with an old friend in Belltown and we stopped by Monday, January 18th. This was the last stop on our reunion crawl of sorts. Our party of three met up another friend and sat at a table. I liked the dark vibe. It was late on Monday night, so it wasn’t too busy. I love chill bars, so I enjoyed the atmosphere. I believe I had a Glenlivet and everyone else drank beer. I didn’t try any of their food, but I’d love to come back. Sounds fun to try some random food with some random drinks at some random bar. Sounds like a great plan for some random night!

So my brother and I came here on our last night in Seattle. We were bar hopping. Trusting the trusty Unilocal app, this came up. What an awesome name for a bar! We arrived right before last call. The bar itself is cute and modernized. The bartenders were great and friendly. I ordered the usual, crown and coke, and my brother a beer. The bartender opened a brand new bottle for me! YAY! I don’t think many ppl here drink crown, hehe! we liked this place so much, my brother decided to buy a t-shirt with their name on it.

I can’t praise this place enough. Great beer list(«no crap on tap»), awesome cocktails, and excellent food. The bartenders and servers are always super friendly. Has a comfortable«neighborhood» atmosphere, but feels classy at the same time. This is exactly what a bar should be.

Amazing food, drinks and they don’t serve InBev AB beers. Thanks for supporting the local beers! We had been in here once before for drinks with some friends and we were really impressed with the service and the drinks. So we had the chance recently to give them another whirl and I am glad we did. First of all the food was amazing. Everything we had from garlic fries, ahi tuna, and the bread pudding was amazing. But the twice-cooked chicken wings really took this food experience over the top. Next we met Mike the owner, what a nice guy and chatted with us about his experience being a restaurant owner. Thanks Mike for the conversation. Lastly they were one of the first bars to carry Cloudburst. If you follow beers Steve Luke of Cloudburst was the head brew master for Elysian before they got bought by Inbev /AB. So they have about 8 rotating taps all local and just pure deliciousness. The atmosphere is casual and just a comfortable feeling to the place. So there are a few really good gastropubs in Seattle, but I really put this one of the top of my list and that is saying a lot because they have some rough competition. Keep up the good work guys!

Was rudely refused service here for having out of state IDs. The waitress went as far as stating which website she believed our«fake» ids were from. They were not fake. She said they looked fuzzy and was condescending throughout the entire ordeal. Get an ID scanner and a waitress who isn’t so snobby. Will not be going back!

The water was delicious before I got kicked out for being 25 and for having an out of state ID. #OutOfStateLivesMatter Response to Manager Snarky below: First of all, thank you for taking the the time to address my concern. Sure, you didn’t help alleviate the issue with your bar, but I’m glad you have an outlet for being condescending without ruining your business. To start, I did know my zip code. You would know if you were at the table experiencing the interaction and not getting secondhand info from your employees. Props for gathering your workplace gossip before responding though. Just the level of professionalism I would expect from such a fine establishment. I came here with a group of 4 people. Two Colorado IDs. One Pennsylvania. One Florida. Three of four of us knew our zip codes. The one who had no idea what it was was active service military. Fair trade– she serves our country and your freedom to kick people out of a bar, and you serve her nothing. Anyways, not sure if you know, but active servicemen and women tend to move around a lot. In fact, 20 year olds in general tend to move around a lot. Seattle itself, even though one city, has over 25 zip codes. Apologies to anyone who doesn’t renew their lease in the same zip code. I suggest to anyone reading this, make sure you know your past 5 zip codes cause if you don’t, ‘there’s really no recovering’. And apparently that’s their only measure of validity. My tablemates offered addresses and other ways to verify the ID was legitimate. But we get it– it’s your job to check IDs and your right to refuse business because you and your 3 person powwow aren’t smart enough to recognize legitimate IDs. What I don’t get is the whole ‘I got you’ attitude your employee, and now you, exhibited when talking with us. Sure, ID mix ups can be honest at times, but your staffs snarky condescending attitude is unforgivable. Even if I was in there with a fake ID and uncooperative attitude, I’m not supporting a business run by a two faced prick who shows his true colors when the complaints come out. We ended up going to Tr3s down the street. Awesome experience. They know how to run a business and be personable with their customers, unlike this uncompromising and ignorant place.

Was just rudely refused service by a waitress at this restaurant who accused two of my friends(who are 24 and 25) of having«sketchy» IDs… In a very condescending manner, she accused my friends of getting their licenses from some sketchy website she stated by name. As a former waitress myself, I understand that servers have a responsibility to screen IDs and err on the side of caution — but the condescending manner in which we were treated was rude and completely uncalled for…

Possibly most pretentious bar west of the Mississippi. Sauntered inside and was accused of possessing a fake Id. The waitress offered a subtle remark about the stupidity of processing a fake and reprimanded me for going to website xxxx. Total speculation and an overstepping of bounds on her part. I get the need for caution but come on man. Im 25. Be sure to tread lightly and try to look at least 45…#feelthebern #thanksforthewater

This place made some updates and is really good! Everything we’ve tried on the menu has been delicious! You can’t go wrong with: crab nachos, burger, sweet potato fries, sausage gnocchi, duck egg caesar salad, ox-tail(when it’s on the menu)… yum and yum! Service is good and not too in your face, but they’re attentive. And they make a mean cocktail. Don’t miss!

I love this place. Excellent drinks, great friendly service, fantastic food. Lots of TVs usually tuned into whatever sports are on TV. I’ve had a few of their cocktails and the chicken wings, as well as tried a few sweet potato fries. The chicken wings are delicious. On the list to try is their crab nachos. The cocktails are great, and the beer list is full of good stuff. They also do a fun thing on Sundays where they do a coin flip if you order a draft beer, and if you guess the flip correctly your beer is only a dollar. The service is excellent here as well. They’re quick to refill your water, joke around with you, and bring out your food and drinks.

Loved this place! I met up with my cousin from Portland here since I’ve always wanted to try this place out. It was pretty busy for a Wednesday night around 9:30 pm. Their cocktails are tasty — I had Eden’s Garden, my cousin had the grapefruit Mimosa(I forgot what it was called on the menu), then we both had the sour beer(quenching if you love Kombucha. It has the same tart quality). Our boyfriends ordered beer — not sure what kind but I’m sure they enjoyed what was on tap too. As for food, we ordered the chicken wings, crab nachos and sweet potato fries to share. I loved all of it but my favorite were the wings. I haven’t had wings that tender before… they must have slow cooked it then fried it? Or the other way around? The meat fell off the bone as if you were eating well made ribs. The crab nachos were tasty too, I’ve never had seafood nachos before. The crab pieces didn’t skimp either. I’d order both those again. Then the fries were just your bar munch staple — crunchy, sweet. Our server was great, she always made sure to check up on us if we needed more drinks, water and if we wanted her to take away plates from our table. I’ll definitely be back again, keep up the great work!

So maybe I come here a lot. It’s pricey, both food and beer-wise, but I’ve never been disappointed by either. The service is great, and all the service staff can be seen talking with and getting to know all the customers. The music on the weekends is a lot of very danceable music. I maybe sometimes have to restrain myself from going a little crazy in the front area of the bar right by the door. Sundays is flip for a beer. If you win a coin toss, you get your beer for a dollar! Theoretically this should lead to about ½ price beer, but I’m not all that lucky, haha. If you’re looking for a higher end, nice bar experience, this is the place to go in Belltown!

This bar had some interesting/tasty cocktails. I tried the chocolate old fashioned and the apple rye. Chocolate old fashioned was very interesting. I’m not sure I would order it again but it wasn’t bad. The Apple rye was awesome! It was topped with apple cider foam and smelled like a candy apple. Once mixed up, it tasted great. The GF got the Gin and Jam cocktail and really enjoyed it. We didn’t get any food but service and drinks were both good.

Really surprised that this place was here! Almost missed it, but my work ended having a function here so we came during happy hour. The drinks were pretty strong, and happy hour prices can’t be beat! Add fries with a Texas mule or Devils Margarita and you’re set to begin friday!

We intended to watch the Eagles game at Buckley’s however there are a lot more Eagles fans in Seattle than one might expect. We walked in and out of Buckley’s, because there was only standing room available. We headed next to Some Random Bar and as soon as Amanda spotted Dining Partner’s Eagles sweatshirt she let him know they didn’t have the game on and suggested Buckley’s. Woah a bartender who tells you to go to another bar? We appreciated her honesty and willingness to help and ended up staying to eat. I had the ham and egg scramble with peppers and potatoes. Dining Partner had the Benedict. I also had a draft of Manny’s. Surprisingly Amanda came to me with a phone and told me to call heads or tails. I was a little confused, but called head’s and was correct. She then told me my beer was only a dollar! Great service, good food, really nice décor, and a great football Sunday special. Shout-out to Amanda if you read this, thanks for being awesome!

I LOVED this place! What was so cool? Well, for starters… you flip a coin with the bartender and see who is paying for your drink… you or him. Well, most of it anyway. I won the flip and got mine for a buck! Our bartender was very friendly, fun, was attentive and served up great drinks.

CRABNACHOS. CRABNACHOS. CRABNACHOS. Some random bar is great. First of all, the name says it itself. When you walk in, it is seat yourself. We came here as a group of 4 on a Saturday evening to watch a game. It was pretty packed and because it is self seating, we had to wait around the bar before getting a table after 15 – 20 minutes. BUTNOBIGGIE because the bar is where it’s at! The bartender is SUPER nice and so knowledgeable in what she was doing. I really enjoyed watching her do her thing and explain what she was putting in her drinks. Anyway, the main star of the show was the crab nachos. Just think, loaded nachos with guacamole, sour cream, cheese, and crab. It was the biggest flavor explosion with a medley of great textures. It was so good, that we got a second order of it. BOMMBBB. My friends ordered the burger and pulled pork sandwich and those were also good. Burger was crazy juicy, both were delicious! They have a nice choice of beers and crafted cocktails each of which were delicious! Overall, I was really diggin this spot. Great place to chill with a lax environment, semi-dimmed lighting, and 3HUGETV’S!

Some Random Bar, I mean the name is awesome and all but I did not expect it to be as good as it turned out to be. I made it in here with 10 minutes left of food serving time(stops at 1am, closes at 2am) but I was more than fine with it considering I had already done my homework on what the must have’s were! Garlic Pull Apart: This thing was delicious, I wish it would have been never ending. It tasted fresh out the oven, the buttery garlic taste of it just slips right into your mouth. The texture at the bite was very croissant like and I loved it. The only negative was the cheese that comes with is a little hard to spread on, opposite textures. 4⁄5 Brisket Sandwich: I’ve never had anything like it. Jalapeño jelly? Who would’ve known. This balanced the taste out so well, the sweetness but spicy end to the taste of every bite was like none other. Very creative set of ingredients in this thing and the portion of the meat was one that had me struggling to finish it towards the end. The sesame seed bun was nice, it went well went the whole sandwich but it wasn’t anything that tasted fresh out the bakery oven like that pull apart, it’s something I think you’ll subconsciously ignore because of the way everything comes in together so well! I questioned myself when I ordered it because I am not huge on brisket but hey I’m glad I ordered it, one of the best brisket sandwiches I’ve had. 4.5÷5 Fries: I got scared when I first saw them. They looked ugly(maybe last batch problems?) and based off my last experiences with fries that looked like these(see hitching post + Woody’s bbq) I was expecting dog poo, but thankfully it was just a fry scare. To say they matched up to the quality of the pull apart and sandwich would be a lie, but they didn’t hurt the meal. Warm and had a decent texture with a good salt ratio. 3⁄5 Spire cider: First time having this one, regional cider, I saw it at many other places. it goes very very very very well with your food because it’s not as light as others, one of the best ciders I’ve had that goes hand in hand with pub food, but just switch it up after the meal because it is a little heavy. 4.5÷5 Service: I couldn’t have asked for better service. Mike was at the bar that night and he was one of the friendliest establishment owners I have ever come across, down to earth and able to carry on conversations about anything, in my case sports, food and sneakers! He offered me tips on whats good in Seattle, non-biased opinions. And he Knows how to mix his drinks. 5⁄5 Ambiance: I arrived near closing time so it wasn’t too busy but it was nice because after a long day the last thing I wanted was loud background noise, they had some hip-hop/rap playing though which was cool. They have some tv’s.catch you up on your sportscenter. Clean, bathroom was clean, nothing that hurt my opinion of the place. 4⁄5 This is a must go to if you’re in the Seattle area. Bar it up, have some drinks, chat it up with Mike if you have any questions about the city and enjoy good food. I was tempted to come here again but man I need more reviews.
