The staff at this Starbucks is far above the rest in the Seattle area. I make the distinction, because outside of the Seattle area, I believe that the quality of the staff really plummets. Both from a capability and positive culture standpoint. Now I’m babbling… But, back to the Alki Starbucks, they go out of their way to really be accommodating and Customer Service obviously means something to the folks at this location. One thing that the Starbuck Corporate offices might look at is the leaky front windows. When it rains a lot, all the front windows leak. The staff does a good job at pulling out a mop, but it’s a constant pain for them, as well as anyone sitting along the window.

Great, But Need Longer Evening Hours. Service Is Great.

This Starbucks usually gets pretty busy but what can you expect it is Alki. The baristas here are all great, they take time to converse with me ask me how my day is, etc. I come here pretty often since this place is walking distance. But keep up the good job!

I love Starbucks but this one is the absolute worst I ever been to. The lines are super long and you’ll have to wait 30 minutes before you can even order. Then, you’ll wait another 30 minutes fo get your coffee. The barista is always rushed and very short with the customers. I think I’ll just order from my Bellevue local branch before I come here b

I like the new look but I hate how this place is just a fast food joint and not a coffee house. They should have fixed that with the remodel. It also didn’t help that I specifically asked for a pour over coffee(it tastes better!) TWICE and the barista just gave me what was already brewed. When she gave it to me, I asked her again and got a jerky look.

Cute little starbucks on the strip. It’s the only one on Alki. Outside seating is available as well. The inside is pretty large & has a lot of seating. Typically it’s not very busy every time I’ve been in late afternoon. I always stop in though when I’m at Alki. It’s nice because it’s at the end of the strip of the beach & you can get a refreshment for your walk back.

Nice, clean, spacious location. Fast and friendly service. Not sure why other reviewers are harsh on their rating of this location. Maybe the standard set by Starbucks is pretty high already so they don’t think it’s anything special? It’s coffee in a nice location, what else do you need?

I go to Starbucks all the time and I must say this one has subpar service. My girlfriend and I have been here several times and they always mess up on one of our drinks or have slow service.

Unfortunately the service here is consistently bad. I usually don’t have trouble at other Starbucks but this one tends to mess up my order… And I don’t think I have overly complex orders…

I’m sorry, I have to be honest, slowest Starbucks I’ve ever been to. I had four people in front of me and I stood in line for 21 minutes. Only 1 cashier, 1 barista and one other person who was kind of just roaming aimlessly.

The tables outside make a cheap alternative to the bars and restaurants nearby for a late afternoon-after-work«happy hour», sitting outside in the sunshine, enjoying a beverage and people-watching. Friendly service, too. Thumbs up!

This is a trippy place. It has a beautiful view of Alki Beach, waves crashing and lots of people running around. The place is usually packed, the staff is friendly but the place kind of looks like a hot mess. It definitely needs a good cleaning and enter the bathroom at your own risk. It looks like the Seattle Seahawks had a party in there and it didn’t end well.

We all know whether or not we like the coffee… this review is on service. I usually come to do work in the day time, and don’t encounter problems. However, a few of us stopped by around 7:45 one eve to pick up a cup. This guy would NOT do a pour over for us! He had a terrible attitude about it! I understand that they close at 8, but I worked in hospitality for over 6 yrs. if a customer comes in before you close, they still need to be serviced! He was concerned about«cleaning» up. I’m sorry, but how long does it take you to wipe down a coffee maker??? BTW– they were prompt at kicking you out!

What kind of policy says the doors have to be open when it’s 40 degrees outside!!! Everyone was clearly not happy and all Justin had to say was«it’s too hot for us working back there». Well that is funny justin because I thought you were at work and I was the customer. Won’t be coming back, not that Starbucks needs my business, but what ever happened to customer service. Or at the very least service with a smile!

Nice staff at this spacious coffee shop right on the beach. Warm your bones in the morning before you take a chilli stroll down the sound or cool off when summer hits with my favorite, Passion Tea Lemonade! The nice lady behind the counter recommended I try the rasberry sweetener this time. I loved it! And extra ice in a venti cup please. ;)

A Starbucks with the standard menu and good quality beverages to get you moving with your day. What sets this location apart from others is the location and ambiance. From the window, I can see the water, ferries going by, space needle, more athletic people running along the path and lots of snow covered mountains. Inside, despite a little glare from the sun outside, the store is large with the coffee bar in the center. To the left, there are a few 4-person library-style tables as well as high-top 2 person tables(the latter would be tight with 2 computers). To the right, there are more tables and a lot more comfortable armchairs with a fireplace. And then in the center, there is a high-top bar that can hold at least 4 stools. Despite this expansive space, this place is busy, including on a weekday morning. Can’t imagine what it is like on a weekend in summer. There are also a few tables outside so you can admire the water views while sipping on your latte. There is free wifi and outlets along the wall(check for some hidden behind garbage cans). Parking isn’t too bad if you check out the side streets. A great option if in the area.

Since I am not fortunate enough to possess a job that would make the Peet’s in Fremont an easy commute, Alki is a decent alternative(albeit a little anemic in character when compared to a beachfront as eccentric as Venice Beach, CA). With this disclaimer provided, this is a Cadillac among Starbucks. It’s around the corner from two pretty good pizza places and the ocean view is incomparable. If Starbucks is anything, they’re consistent when it comes to their coffee. The only variables seem to be the quality of the staff and the availability of tables, with which this branch just happens to be blessed! This is a great spot to stop and enjoy a cup before continuing your stroll down the beach.

I don’t really know how to rate starbucks. It’s a fat franchise and it’s just like any other coffee shop. I don’t see the big deal. Although, this one is huge, whith lots of great walking space, open seats/tables, fat couches, and just open space. I like it. It’s a great view of the water too. I see why people come here. The only thing I have to say, is their black chai tea is gross. Tastes like phở in a cup. I am not impressed. Why would you want to drink phở? Lol. I’m sad about this. I would have given it a 1 star but I don’t see how I could give this place such a low rate when it’s a product issue. But their bathrooms are open to the public with no needed key or pin code. Clean too. Nice jazz music and great big windows!

I’ve been to many a Starbucks and this one by far has had the best view of them all facing Alki Beach. Given their location facing the water, it can get pretty windy and cold outside and I don’t think I’ve ever needed a hot cup of a beverage more than I did here last week while waiting for the bus outside.
