Stop Bugging Me Pest Control

Hate to say this, but something has changed. Lots of mess-​ups, confusion, and service that has steadily declined. Not sure what’s happened, but after giving them numerous opportunities to fix their own mistakes we’ve canceled with them and will look elsewhere. Sad.

These guys were OK for the first couple years (I had them stop by quarterly for ants, spiders, and rats). Then about 6 months ago something happened, and they are TERRIBLE now.
DO NOT USE THEM!
They now sometimes leave notes on the door, instead of knocking, claiming that they sprayed — with no evidence that they actually sprayed. (I was home the entire time they were supposedly there, and they never came inside to spray for spiders like they were contractually obligated to do, even after repeated calls to the office demanding that they knock and come inside). This happened multiple times over 6 months. They have also mis-​billed me, and calls to their office result in getting dumped to voice mail and never getting called back. When you complain, the office help give you major attitude and blows you off.
There are plenty of competitors that do the same thing. Go to them.

We’ve been using these guys for a few years now. We started out using them because we had carpenter ants. They were very helpful in explaining what the ants are looking for and doing, and the necessary repeat treatments. We have them come out every 3 months. This summer, I finally have not seen any ants in the house! I think we’ve got them under control, and I will keep using these guys to keep it that way. The technicians are always courteous.

I had to call a pest control company after bringing into my garage a piece of furniture that was infested with cockroaches. I am so glad I called Stop Bugging Me!!! I was so impressed with their customer service I had to add my experience to this list.
First of all, on the phone Lori was wonderful. She had a calming demeanor and was genuinely caring about me and our situation. I was planning to cancel my appointment because the prep sheet was too involved for me to do from Saturday to Monday. I rescheduled for Wednesday instead after talking to Lori, but then began to worry that all the roaches would have babies Tuesday night!
Lori ended up calling me back and said that she wanted to have the tech stop by that day and give me some tips before my appointment on Wednesday! Wow! Thanks!
Mark showed up right on time and was so friendly and informative about roaches and the environments they like, habitats they like to live in, what to look for, what to avoid, and so on. He said after an inspection that since we had exposed ourselves to these bugs less than 2 weeks prior, that the traps we had placed were probably sufficient and that he wanted to save us the $ 200 on a spray if we didn’t need it.
He gave us some monitor traps and taught us how to place them.
Then he even stopped by to follow up a couple days later!
I know who I will use and who I will refer everyone to because of the outstanding service I received from Mark and Lori at Stop Bugging Me!
There is a lot to be said for a company who earns future business by being ethical with their business practices before they even take a cent from their customers!
So pleased with this company!

Chris showed back a few times now and he has been AWESOME!!! I have spoken with the owner as well and he was very courteous! I would like to retract any negative comments. :) I highly reccomend their service and Chris is world class asset to your Stop Bugging me!!! We used them for about a year for ant control and at first we weren’t seeing any results. I talked to Kevin and he did our work after that and it was awesome. He was so attentive, completely professional, and very detailed. I trusted him and we got results. But we weren’t seeing any more ants and then Kevin left the company so we stopped the service. I’d give them 5 stars on Kevin but he’s not there any more so that’s irrelevant.
We’re seeing ants again (in the house) and so I contacted Stop Bugging Me to get some info about restarting service. Nobody ever contacted me back. I’m not going to beg them to let me give them money,

They came in to treat my college dorm room which was infested with bed bugs (the infestation was present before I moved into the dorm, just in case you were wondering). They inspected the room 3 times visually before they every «found» evidence of bed bugs (even though I had seen the bugs in the room multiple times). After finally agreeing to treat, they came in and treated once, and it was ineffective. I reported more bug activity, and they came in and inspected and «found» «nothing.» This process of treating and «inspecting» happened three times. The last inspection was this afternoon. They «inspected» our room, said they found no evidence of bugs. I went in and the first thing I saw was a bed bug sitting on one of the beds in the room. They do not do a thorough job at all, and I would not recommend them in a situation regarding bed bugs. Unfortunately, living in a UW dorm, I had no say in who came and treated the room, but if you do have a choice in it, avoid this company.

After getting a bed bug problem I called Stop Bugging Me… Talked to Bonnie (she was very helpful and understanding) they sent out Alec right away. Alec was more then helpful… and knowledgeable about my situation help me thru my problem always on time and very attentive to my problem… gave me great advice on what I should do to help get rid of them… cant thank them enough for there helping me thru this situation… thanks again to Alec… your the best very happy with the way everything was taken care of thanks again guys… Per

I would NOT have gone with this company, if I had the choice!
As a renter, I don’t get much choice, but these guys make a clown college look respectable. They do NOT communicate with tenants! You know, the people who actually LIVE in these units, and can actually DO something! Not about what chemicals they are or are not using, not about what we need to be doing (except a sheet of a few steps to take BEFORE a treatment… nothing about after), and not about WHY, AFTER TWO TREATMENTS, THERE IS STILL AN INFESTATION!
Oh, and according to King County Public Health’s web site, they aren’t actually a Permitted Pest Control Business. Perhaps the web site just needs to be updated, but considering all else, I am skeptical.

Two days ago when I called them, I felt like I was living in a Stephen King novel. Due to the compassionate, professional service we received,
I have my house back… and what is left of my sanity. :) Highly recommend them.

In one of a rental condos, a tenant apparently had fleas — the place was INFESTED like crazy. It was gross. Not even 10 minutes inspecting the unit after we evicted the tenants, I had 3 flea bites on my legs — and I wasn’t wearing shorts!
I asked my Realtor who said he’s been using «Stop Bugging Me» for all his clients that needed pest control; of course I had to look up the business on Unilocal.
Emailed them for a quote, and received a reply right away.
The technician was great! Showed up right on time, and they actually came under budget.
Very happy with them, and I referred them to a friend that owns a property management company who also said he’d heard of them, but wasn’t sure.
Highly recommend the team at Stop Bugging Me!

I’m a man and I’m not afraid to kill things.
In fact I enjoy all of the hunting, trapping and varmint murdering arts. I’ve trapped mice and rats, blasted a raccoon out of a tree with a pellet rifle after it attacked my dog, while in college I even clubbed a possum with a 5 iron. Listen hippie, it was in my dorm room, in my bed and it had orange teeth — I’m pretty sure it was an agent of the devil and I did us all a favor so don’t you judge me.
My basic philosophy on anything non-​human is «get them before they get me». When it came to bed bugs that was an epic FAIL.
When I found-​out I had bed bugs I thought my doctor was just bull-​shitting me to break the ice before she told me I had contracted a deadly sub-​Saharan zombie flesh eating bacteria from my last trip to the airport bathroom. *note — steer clear from day-​old airport sushi*, I’m a 30+ year old professional with a graduate degree and I was honestly under the impression bed bugs, the tooth fairy and a balanced federal budget were works of fiction.
Turns out bed bugs are VERY real and Cimex Lectularius are nearly impossible to get rid of. Stop Bugging Me showed up the same day I called and waged an all-​out war on those blood sucking bastards. Seriously — it was biblical.
The fact that they actually did what I paid them to do wasn’t what prompted me to write this review, I actually hate people who give 5 star ratings because they got what they paid for, that’s a 3 star at best. Stop Bugging Me showed up on-​time, were all business, by far the most affordable of the 3 quotes I received and most impressively called me back TWICE to make sure the problem hadn’t re-​surfaced. In the event I am plagued with another curse of insects, rodents, pests or vermin that I am personally incapable of committing genocide against I will be contacting Stop Bugging Me again.

These guys are pros! Excellent customer service and good prices. The only other pest service I’d ever used was down in Fife and I have to say the Stop Bugging me guys were far more professional. They were very efficient and thorough. FIVE STARS! Although, anyone who keeps me from having to kill bugs is five-​star in my book :)
