Strata markets itself as a «luxury» apartment, but it’s kind of like those budget hotels that make themselves look really nice but use the absolute cheapest material to build and furnish the rooms. If you value any kind of peace and quiet, look elsewhere, as there is absolutely no insulation in the building, so you can hear people walking in the halls. If you’re not on the top floor, get some noise canceling headphones because you will be able to hear every move the people above you make. And hope that your next door neighbors have similar music and movie taste as you because you’ll be able to hear all of it. I’ve lived in crappy«ghetto» apartments before, and they are quieter than this place. The fixtures(like faucets, etc) are cheap and flimsy and will likely break while you live there. I lived there for seven months and both my bathroom and kitchen faucets came undone. If you’re on the bottom floor you get a yard, which is nice except that I haven’t met anyone that lives in an apartment and also owns a lawnmower or weed-whacker to actually take care of a yard. The office staff is completely unorganized and seems to have a lot of turnover. I never received any paperwork to fill out about the state of my apartment when I moved in, and after living there for a few months I found out that my original lease was never filed. I had a copy of it but they just ended up making me sign a new one. No one was ever there in the office, although that seems to have been changing right around the time I left. If working for them is anything like living there, I can see why no one stays. It’s in a good location, but it’s not worth it’s price. Update: so keep in mind I moved into Strata a year ago(02⁄15)… Just for reference of how many managers they have been through in a year. I moved out in September because I bought a house. They sent me a bill after I left for cleaning. I emailed to ask why it wasn’t just taken out of the security deposit. Manager(Tiffany) said I never gave a security deposit(I did) so I had to pay for the cleaning. I had switched banks in the middle of the year so after a bit of investigating, I saw that the manager when I first moved in(Erica, I think her name was… The one who never filed my lease to begin with… Who was then followed by Alex who was THEN followed by Tiffany) never cashed the deposit check. Okay. So then I do owe for the cleaning. That’s fine. Let me email her and confirm the amount of the bill. No answer. Well let me email again(a few weeks later). Still no answer. Well let me call. Of course they’re not in the office. No one ever is. Today I get a call from a collection company for the bill. Collection company people are just a joy to speak to, you know. Anyway, I paid the bill… Like I had been trying to do. I emailed to thank Tiffany for her exemplary customer service and(get ready for it…) there is a new manager! Four managers in a year… I hope for the sake of the current tenants that this one actually knows what she is doing.

My experience with this apartment complex was so, so wonderful. My only reason for moving was because of a relocation for work. The management company and staff are very friendly, upfront(no secret hidden fees that pop up out of nowhere), and just in general enjoyable people. Moving in and out was a seamless process, very easy and convenient. The apartments themselves have an open design that maximizes space which is great overall living and pets(my Great Dane loved living here). The granite counters and stainless steel appliances give nice aesthetics. The neighbors in the building here were also very pleasant. I HIGHLY recommend living here if you have the opportunity. I would definitely move back in if I had the chance to do so. Thank you Strata!

Nice apartments & nice management, however there is no insulation in the walls or floors or ceilings. If you don’t mind a fair amount of noise this is a wonderful place to live. They welcome furry kids and the building is full of them!
