Subway

I have had nothing but bad things to say about this location until tonight. The new guy who works there is super friendly, and not stingy with the veggies like my past experiences. Meets standard subway expectations now.

The gentleman Fernando that works there in the evenings is nice always happy and efficient!!! I like to go when he working he at least cares!
The young lady who never seems to care or even like to work is unfriendly doesn’t even greet you
She seems unhappy I had to wait 3 mins no one was at the counter I had to yell hello then she comes out there was no other customers in the shop. It’s always an awful experience with her!

Wow really!!! This place is a joke. Service is agonizingly slow and cashiers are not trained on how to conduct effective transactions with their customers. Sandwich «artists»? I never would use that title to describe how these people put a sandwich together. Super sloppy and practically falling apart with minimal amounts of veggies on it bathed in sauces. Word of advice find the nearest location instead of wasting time here. The one on Roosevelt is far better.

The only thing I can figure out is that they hate vegetables and hate touching them. I swear he was counting the spinach leaves as he put them on my Mediterranean Steak sandwich.
But the thing I’m most disappointed by is the side of sad, surly attitude that every order comes with. I get it, fast food isn’t always the most exciting work in the world, but a brief smile couldn’t hurt could it? I’m honestly a little worried about these guys… they seem so miserable behind that clear sneeze guard. But I don’t know what would make them happier: more business or for everybody to just leave them alone.
On the plus side, it is bright and generally clean. So there’s that.

This place is terrible. The two guys working, well they looked angry and sad to be there. I bet they could cheer people up with maybe a smile, and then actually put some veggies on my sandwich. I think I got like 5 olive slices on my last sandwich there, and I’m afraid to ask as the dude already looks super pissed at me, and the bread was stale. It’s too bad, once in a bit I dig a nice fresh subway sandwich, and this place is very very very far from «fresh.»

The staff guy is nice buy the sandwich bread is stale and the coke is off. Maybe I’m catching them on an off day. Not impressed.

Every once in a while we’ll grab subway when in a pinch for dinner. This one has been kinda annoying/​bad 4 out of the 5 times we’ve been. We’ve only gotten it to go so can’t say anything about tables for eating in/​bathroom. Once went in 45 min before closing and the guy working told us they were closed… Wth? 3 times (different guy) was super stingy on veggies which drives me nuts! Four strips of thinly sliced green peppers on a foot long? Ask for a little more, get an annoyed look, and receive more two minuscule bits? 1 time there was another different guy and he was great which is why they get one more star. I hope that guy still works there for their sake. Either way though doesn’t matter to us because the bf refuses to go back even though we live Super close. Too bad subway, sometimes I really enjoy your veggie delight sand with that sweet onion sauce…

I work a couple blocks away from this location so I may take lunch here once or twice a week.
It’s a Subway nothing really special. The sandwiches are made to order and the vegetables (at least what I’ve seen so far) are for the most part fresh and the lettuce isn’t browning out. The two gentlemen working sport angry looks, but they are pretty friendly guys. The seating is ample and I’ve never seen it packed. However, they do sometimes get a rush during lunch time, but the line tends to move quickly. There is also one unisex bathroom that requires a key to get in, but it can be a little dirty, so I am not sure how often they check it.
One thing I have noticed: If you visit this location and see a casually dressed business man sitting towards the front of the store with a laptop, which I am assuming is the owner, then the workers will be a little more frugal with the add-​ons at the veggie portion of your sandwich creation.
Overall would give a 3.5, but rounded up to 4 stars.
