I enjoy the taco time here. I never really had taco time until I came to WA, but it’s like an upgrade from taco bell. Their ingredients actually taste like quality ingredients. I’ve tried various food from their menu, but so far I like their crispy tacos and their burritos. They’re both very filling and hot when I get them(usually through the drive thru). The customer service is okay… they sound kind of like on auto-pilot, but I used to work in fast food so I know how that goes.

Service is rapidly going downhill. Have eaten here many times, usually with good food and service. However, yesterday’s visit was unfortunate. My significant other waited at the counter for several minutes with no acknowledgement from a TT employee, although several were present. While she was waiting futilely to be helped, I availed myself of some of their usually delicious hot sauce. The liquid that spurted out of the dispenser was very watery, not the consistency it normally is. I will stick with the Taco Time on 35th.

Staff was NOT helpful at all. I ordered the new cilantro lime chicken salad and asked for certain items to be left off, however they were put on the salad anyway. I had to ask for the dressing as they didn’t put it with the salad. The tables had not been bussed and the garbage cans were full. When I went to the counter to ask for my salad to be remade and get the dressing… the staff ignored me. I finally raised my voice and a lady in the back heard me… she acted like I was putting her out and then finally said something to another staff member(in another language) and then three of them tcame to the counter. It was odd and uncomfortable. I am unsure if this Taco Time will get my business again. I am always treated well at the one in Georgetown and the one in Lakewood… but here… Nope.

Taco Time has always been my preferred fast-food place, WAY better than Taco Bell. I used to live in Wallingford, and the location there is well-staffed, friendly, efficient, and never messed up an order. I moved to West Seattle recently and was happy to see a Taco Time close by. I’ve been six or seven times so far, and the experience has been OK to bad each time. First of all, tangent: If you are ordering for more than two people(maybe two people and a kid) GOINSIDE! The drive though is meant for fast orders, in and out quickly, so your stupid mini van with it’s 8 occupants all ordering value meals is ridiculously rude. Walk your fat butts inside and order your huge family-style meal without holding up the cars behind you. Jesus. OK, rant over. But, that being said, these guys have a huge parking lot and there’s no reason they can’t convert one of the spots to a waiting area spot like McDonald’s does sometimes to keep the line moving. Almost every time I’ve gone, I’ve spent at least 15 minutes in the drive through. Once, I spend almost a half an hour. That’s completely unacceptable. They obviously have a staffing issue, in that there is never enough staff. And the staff they do have working, are indifferent at best and often dismissive. Food quality has always been OK, although I got a soft beef burrito once that had a strange soapy type flavor I could quite recognize. I threw it away and had mexi-fries for dinner that night. Also, the mexi-fries sometimes seem undercooked. All-in-all, I don’t set my expectations high for a fast food joint, but they’ve got to do something to improve wait times, especially in the drive through. I doubt they’re reading this Unilocal!page though…

I just spent 30 minutes in the drive thru. Only 3 cars in line and it took me 10 minutes sitting at the speaker before they ever took my order. This seems to be the normal speed here everytime I come. 30 minutes is unacceptable. Not even a sorry for the wait at the window.

I like this Taco Time. I always have proportionate amount in my tacos and burritos. Mexi fries not always. The service is very good. The wait in the drive thru is long sometimes but I don’t mind because I like my food fresh and hot. They were nice enough to wipe down the counters when I ordered a separate vegan order. Fondita

Two cars including myself at the drive-through. 18 minutes is simply too long. Third and last occasion to experience this. If they don’t care about their job I don’t care to keep them employed

White Center, and I’m going to Taco Time for dinner? We probably have 15 better Mexican options within blocks! I need dinner for the family quick, want a crisp beef burrito, don’t want to get out of my truck, and haven’t been drunk enough to go to Taco Bell for, well, a really long time. So unless there is a drive up Taco Truck, the TT drive thru wins. Seriously, is there a drive thru taco truck? Did I just come up with the next big thing since food truck pods? Waiting in line for my order I contemplated writing about how they ALWAYS mess up my order. Then I thought that was probably too harsh, maybe it’s only like 50% of the time. But hey, it’s probably my fault for ordering for 4 – 6 people while in the drive thru. Perhaps they should have a maximum two meals per car, bet the error rate/car would plummet. I get to the window and find out one of the kids meals ordered doesn’t come with a toy any more. OK, but the other one should, but they put crustos in that one. Guy added a cool sticky hand to the order. He’s got 5 beverages to give me and wants to know if I’d like a drink carrier, nah — I’ll just hold them between my legs. Then hands me the bags of food. Since he asked me if I wanted hot sauce earlier, and I said 3, I asked him if he put them in there. He said yes, but hesitated a little, uh oh. I drive away and hope for the best when I get home. Get home, no napkins, no ketchup for the tater tots, or HOTSAUCE. The two Crisp BEAN burritos are Beef, not good for the vegetarian, and the chicken taco salad is a joke, what is this little thing with 2oz of lettuce? The receipt looks like what I got, just not what I ordered. But that was probably my fault too. I was too busy trying to check in here while I was ordering that I really didn’t pay attention to what was popping up on the order screen. I used to really like this Taco Time. I think the quality of the vegies are pretty high, but the meat quality/quantity has been sliding for years. This place also used to have really good(free) salsa fresca available, but now it’s just that viscous hot sauce. It is what it is, this place is a solid 3 when dining in, plus I get to play with the 100 flavors of pop that way. It’s not on my banned list, yet.

I have been going to Taco Time for many years and enjoy the food, but this particular restaurant is sub par in several ways, First off they are extremely inconsistent with their portions, almost always erring on the side of tiny servings. I have complained to management who said they would address the issue but again, today I went in and ordered a soft beef burrito, Again the portion was ridiculously small and for over $ 4 I again felt ripped off. Several weeks back I had the same item at the Federal Way store and it was twice as big. Secondly no matter how many times I have been in there, there is never. A second cashier, so you have to wait way too long to place your order and the young lady working the register is nice, but she always takes your order as if I were her first day on the job. I give up on this place.

Food is good service is crap. I have gone to this taco time over 6 times and each time I get more pissed off to the point I don’t want to go back for months. Very rude and they are some times not open when they should be.

I always think Taco Time is on the pricey side, especially with all the locally owned restaurants that have popped up offering great food for cheaper price. With that said. I do like me some Taco Time once in a while and also like so support our local chains. I really like their chicken soft tacos and mexi fries. with a side of their ranch(sour cream mixed with ranch). Their tostada salads are good, its the typical taco salad with the shell, as opposed to their version of a taco salad which doesn’t have the shell… confused yet? Good call from the other reviewer that said this is the original location, I heard that before but wasn’t sure if I was told a lie or not but now it sounds like it is true.

Back in the day these guys used to be so amazing. I feel the service has slipped recently. Lately it seems like every time I go there is something wrong with my order. I won’t say I won’t ever come back because I love the food at taco time but it may be a while before I come back. Last night I ordered a tostada salad bowl. I usually ask for no beans and extra tomatoes, they got about half of that right. What made me a little irate was the tostada itself. It tasted like it had been sitting out for a few days too long. Taco Time advertises that they have the freshest food. What happened TT? I think if I go to Taco Time again I may just have to stick to the one in West Seattle. Way better customer service over there and they still haven’t got any of my orders wrong.

When I’m in the mood for a natural soft taco I know where to go, Taco Time. This place is always a win, The food is always good and they have Mellow Yellow for a choice of drink, yum. Everyone there is nice, I usually always get the same person at the window, he’s really nice and professional. One of the best things about this place is they always get your meal right, its not one of those things where you forget to check the bag and you find out you only received half of your order. I wish their drive through lane was designed a little better but it has always been a short tight turn there.

Yeah, I with Ms. Wanda. I can eat Taco Time for 3 squares a day and this is the only one I found to be the best! I come from the Beacon Hill area passing 2 Taco Times on my way. Always good service, the food tastes better(go figure), my order is correct and the staff is super friendly even when I am a grouch! Keep it up guys! The only drawback is that they raise the prices to much(at all of them). Stop it! Or I have to cut back. We are in a recession!

I don’t know what people are talking about. I’m a Taco Time junky and live in Belltown. I go out of my way to this one. The food always tastes fresh, less greasy, the chicken soft taco is superb and they always get my order right(I’m pretty specific in how I want it) and even today, the service at the drive-through was super friendly. I found the inside to be very clean and the staff has never not once been rude to me. I brag about this location all the time to people I know. They say«White Center?» I say«yup!»

As you might notice Taco Time is my favorite«fast food» type of restaurant. I have eaten at many Taco Times. This location is probably my least favorite. The people who work here are very nice and friendly but the seating area is very old and outdated. The bathroom is a one person at a time deal. I have found that normally the food prep is very consistent between each Taco Time however at this location my food is prepared it’s «sloppy». The portions seem quite a bit smaller than at other Taco Times. They still charge a .37 surcharge for using a debit card.

This is one of those unfriendly places where you feel like the counter person is doing you a BIG favor by waiting on you. After giving me a curt response when I innocently asked why my meal cost so much, she put my change on the counter without counting it out, didn’t bother to say thank you, nor did she give me a receipt. Hey, sorry to spoil your day by patronizing your business. –Terry M

Like most Taco Time locations it is cleaner than it’s competitor, but the service was lousy and the«gourmet» chicken burrito which I had no delusions about being gourmet was greasy and flimsily packed. For fast food it may be fresher but it hardly matters when it’s badly made. My sister had a mexi-platter with two-yes count them– two corn chips. The bare minimum qualifier for«chips» in the plural. A Mexican place that is cheap about corn chips. Absorb that. Try the sit down place down the way.
