Miss my San Francisco Mission taqueria’s, especially since I can’t find anything like this here in Vancouver BC. Stumbled on this place. I rate this place on the authentic amazing salsas they offer — especially a unique habanero salsa to top my pollo burrito

This place is so good It is under new management, but the food still tastes as good as ever! Get the wet beef burrito with extra sauce The atmosphere is chill and the new chairs and tables are very comfortable. I highly recomend this place

The new management is. awesome! Salsa tastes closer to Mexico then I’ve had since being in Baja.

Early 2015 new management doesn’t live up to the previous good salsa. We won’t be using it as in the past. Disappointed.

Authentic indeed! Spanish television blasting away, bold bright paint scheme.(Wow!) You are transported to somewhere south of the border — complete with«tourists»(the other white folks venturing out of their usual comfort zone). The food was good — nothing exceptional, but good. Yes, I would return. But lets face it, this type of establishment is not a culinary destination… You eat here to satisfy your hunger… And that they can do. Tortilla Soup: Tasty but not my thing. I will be ordering tacos or a burrito next time. Veggie Burrito: WAY good. Spice blend was fabulous. This is good, wholesome, traditional Mexican fare.(Well, if I can believe Rick Bayless about what makes a dish authentic.)

UPDATE: They restaurant is under new management. I am not sure the food is the same. I will go back and see. My family goes to Taqueria Guaymas at least once a week. It is very authentic! It reminds me of sitting at my moms Mexican kitchen and listening to the Novelas in the background(they have a small TV screen in the corner). It’s very nostalgic. Here are my favorite go-to-eats: Tacos Del Pastor — Amazing!!! The best I’ve ever had. The chef that cooks on Wednesday is always the best. If you can handle the spice ask for ‘THEWORKS’ Chicken Tortilla Soup– Every time I get sick with a cold or my children get sick we order this. It is absolutely the best! The broth is homemade and it is so soothing. The tortilla Chips are homemade and it is toped with queso and avocado. Vegetarian Tamale — Not only is this ORGANIC it is full of nutrients. It is made up of quinoa and other veggies. My 5 year old boy even loves it. Order the chips and salsa — By far the best salsa ever!!! Chile Colorado — Authentic and yummy. Rice and beans — My daughter will eat the rice and beans every time. The staff is always so friendly and super accommodating. And yes the owner of the chain stops by often. Great guy that seems to treat his employees pretty well since they’ve been there forever and look happy. I have also been to the one in West Seattle Junction the service and food weren’t nearly as good as the White Center location.

I love this place. Very good prices for HUGE burritos. Also in love with their salsa bar. Amazing pico de gallo. The horchata is also really good

Being from Southern California — I’m somewhat spoiled when it comes to good Mexican food. This place is authentic. It tastes authentic, and the people running it are very kind. I hear the owner of the chain always comes to this particular Tacos Guaymas for food!

I like this Taqueria. I haven’t found it to be too expensive, and always leave with an extremely full belly. I agree with what many others have said. Two thumbs up for the salsa bar. They have a smokier, almost ancho or chipotle salsa that I love, but the real treat is a more orange habanero type of salsa. There’s a great burn to that one, as well as flavor. The rice is spot on which is important to me as Spanish rice is one of my favorite things about Mexican food. The best tacos I have had are definitely the carnitas. I have seen some bad reviews for the fish tacos, but honestly, this isn’t the type of place I would go for something like that. Their wet burritos are extremely saucy, but GINORMOUS. My only complaint about the food is twice I have ordered the tamales and both times, they have been overcooked to where the shell was actually hard to chew through. Won’t be getting tamales here again(especially when you can just head to the carniceria up the street for AMAZING ones), but everything else is spot on. I visited the TG over in West Seattle and didn’t like it nearly as much. I spend about fifteen bucks for a huge plate and a couple of beers. Also, I pretty much don’t need to eat ever again afterwards.

Fish tacos — bland. But the carne asada taco had some flavor. The people are friendly, the food is fine but Fondita — the truck three blocks away — and El Paisano — a restaurant also three blocks away — both offer tastier, more authentic food for a better price. Go there. They get three stars primarily for the salsa bar. It’s delicious — and you need it for the bland fish tacos.

I was thrilled to find a taqueria just around the corner from my house when I moved to Seattle last month, and Guaymas doesn’t disappoint. Their burritos are a little pricier than I’m used to, but they’re well worth it. The portions are huge — one burrito can easily last you for lunch AND dinner — AND they’re FANTASTIC. Even my husband, who is notoriously picky about his burritos because«they’re never spicy enough,» gave Guaymas his seal of approval. They also have an awesome salsa bar, but beware if you’re taking a to-go order — the lids on those little plastic cups don’t always stay closed in transit.

They are great, love this place! I’m always greeted with a smile and fast, friendly service. Typically, have them make me a «Mole Wet Burrito» and it’s not even on the menu! For sure not an authentic Mexcian restaurant, more of a Tex-Mex thing is happening here. Nothing to drive out of you way for, but if you are in the area, you won’t be bummed-out eating here. I give them 3 stars for the food: 4 stars for the overall experience. I don’t expect farm-fresh, organic chicken, nor do they serve it. The mole is very chocolate rich, the way I like it, so I have my special-order go-to every time!

I like this place. I stopped in for a quick bite to eat with my boyfriend and his dad. Our food came out quickly and it was delicious. Our group got a burrito, cheese quesadilla, two carne asada tacos, some chips and salsa.

More healthy & authentic. Don’t go there expecting American nachos, you’ll be disappointed. But, the food is good, the chips are warm and their sauce, pickled veggie bar is great. Their Shrimp Tacos are my fav.

I ordered the pork chile verde and sat next to the sunny southern window and got my grub on as I switched my view back and forth between the new Britney Spears video that was playing on the tv and the life that existed on Roxbury St. in the colorful, vibrant community of White Center. This place had an open salsa bar so I really loaded up with the various condiments. I’m big on condiments so this amenity was a big plus for me. Believe it or not, after I dumped the heavy load of green sauce and other condiments that I got from the salsa bar on my chile verde, my tongue alerted me that the spice factor still wasn’t high adequate and this prompted me to ask the server for some Tapatio sauce, one of my favorite hot sauces. I roll spicy, that’s just how I like my Mexican food and other foods. As the server handed me the Tapatio, she told me that they don’t leave the bottles on the tables because customers would steal them. The pork pieces in the child verde were a little drier than what I’m used. I’ll have to try some of their other dishes when I return to this place.

The super burrito with carne asada is what I almost always order from here. It’s huge, delicious, has sour cream & guacamole inside, and at about $ 8 with tax, it’s comparable to the price of a Chipotle burrito w/guacamole, but WAY more flavorful. What I really love about this place is the pickled red onions available at their fresh salsa bar in the back. They’re sour, salty, and have just the right amount of bite. They’re cold too, making them a perfect complement to the warmth and heaviness of the burrito. I rarely eat-in, but when I do, I don’t mind. I’m not the type of person to care too much about the ambiance of a place — I’m in it for the food! I do, however, usually get my food to-go and the lady working at the register is always friendly and sweet. I have a tendency to get a «complicated order»(where my Bön Qui Qui fans at?!) but they never seem to mind and what’s even better is that they get it right AND they label the burrito with actual words so you don’t have that awkward mixup where you realize you’ve eaten half of the wrong burrito.

That was a damn tasty super veggie burrito. Pricey at around $ 9 after tax, but worth it for the satisfaction it delivered. I ate the whole ginormous thing. I’m not one to wax eloquent about food«bigger than your head,» because, well, food is never really bigger than your head, and I think people who talk like that probably eat like birds. Nonetheless, this was a substantial and well-packed burrito. It’s a pretty standard Tacos Guyamas by all appearances, though smaller than the other locations I’ve been in. I think being in White Center, though, lends it a perceived air of authenticity, psychosomatic or not.
