The pad thai tastes like just noodles with sweet and sour sauce. Bleh. The food’s not great… but it is quick and SO cheap! The curry looked good, though. I may come back for another cheapo lunch. Hopefully better tasting next time!

Some of the best mall food I’ve ever had. Who would have ever thought you’d get decent Asian food from a chain?

This place is kind of unreal. Not unreal as in, «the best thai food I’ve ever had» — it’s definitely mediocre thai food, but it’s decently tasty and so, so cheap. $ 3.95 for a «mini order» which is still more food than a human should really try to eat in one sitting. Why anyone would order a full-sized order is beyond me. I ordered 3-stars which is just on the verge of being too spicy(and they have spicy condiments on the side) so you may want to stick to the low end of spice if it’s your first trip here.

You won’t finish hungry. Tons of food, great value, good quality. A great quick lunch spot that I mix in once a week when I’m starving. Is it the best Thai place in Seattle, no. Does it taste good without making me feel terrible later in the day, absolutely.

Love this place! Huge tasty lunch that lasts me 2 meals for $ 6.50, amazing deal. I recommend going early 11:00 — 11:30 or later 1:00 — 1:30 to avoid the lunch rush which typically will have a line running well out the door. Even when they are busy they are super quick. I do have to say that I do not love all of their dishes that I have tried, you have to figure out what are best. I suggest the Pad Kee-Mao and the Fried Rice. The spicy scale is pretty accurate unlike some places where a 3 will set your mouth on fire and vice versa. I also recommend planning on taking it to-go as the space is really small.

You’ll get a bargain lunch and friendly, swift service at this truck. You won’t get the finest Thai food you’ve ever had, and you might not even get the best Thai food you’ve had this week. The Pad Thai tastes fresh and oniony, but of little else. I’d like some fresh lime and ground peanuts, but for $ 8 and five minutes, I’m content. The plentiful strips of chicken breast within were tender and appealing.

The fact that I can get a lunch for under $ 5, especially downtown, blows my mind. Honestly, the main draw of this place are its cheap prices — I wouldn’t expect much in terms of taste. :P Located on the corner of Third & Madison, Thai 2 Go is your atypical downtown carry-out restaurant. The line tends to snake out the door during the lunch rush, but they’re pretty quick. Since nobody really carries cash anymore, from what I recall, they also didn’t have a credit card minimum. I love their«Mini Order» option — it’s essentially half the normal portion at about half the price. But it’s still filling!(At least in my opinion, haha.) Taste is just so-so though. I’ve tried their Phad Kee Mao and Phad See Ew so far and haven’t been too impressed — the dishes tend to be somewhat bland… But heck, with the prices I’m paying, I’m willing to swing by to curb my cravings for Thai food!

You can’t beat the price, that’s for sure. You’ll get a ton of food in a regular size order but go for the mini and it’s dirt cheap. Food is pretty good although sometimes can be very greasy. I recommend getting something they make to order in the back rather than something from one of the bins in front. I recommend the special fried rice.

Is it good Thai food? Hell no. The sauces are a tad too sweet. Everything is a little too greasy. Is it good lunch food? Mmhmm. And quite the deal too! Everything costs about $ 6.52(that’s with tax) and that $ 6.52 will give you a portion good enough for two meals. Between the generous portions(good amount of meat, noodles/rice and veggies) and the amazingly low price, it’s hard to go wrong. They’re also generous with their sauces and condiments which I appreciate. They have little containers so you can take sauces. Another cool thing about ordering here is you can get a «mini» portion which, let’s be honest, is about a standard portion. It’s a little over half the price for a full order. It’s enough to make you full. There’s typically a line round around noon but they’re very quick and efficient. I’ve never had to wait longer than 5 minutes. There are kinda crummy looking tables there which never seem to ever get wiped down between customers. Your best bet would be to order to go and eat elsewhere. Again, it’s not amaaaazing but it’ll hit the spot and not hurt your bank account.

Quickly served and inexpensive. I got my lunch under $ 5! I ordered rice and spicy bamboo shoot chicken. It was tasty and filling! It’s definitely a good option for lunch if you wanna save money! Downside of this place is that it’s so crowded… There are tables to sit and eat but eating area is pretty small… but who cares? As long as I can get my food fast, cheap and good and leave happily, I’m fine:)

The pad thai at this place is nasty… it;s red, it has no substance to it — nothing other than noodles and red pepper flakes. It was also sort of… wet? Don’t know what that means. The chicken panang curry was disgusting as well. The sauce was super thin and watery and there was hardly any flavor. One thing I did enjoy was the bamboo chicken. It had a great flavor consistency. I don’t think I would go back here though. I see other people compared it to a fast food Thai place and I guess I would go that far but just because you get lots of food for $ 7 doesn’t make the meal worth it.

The only thing I don’t like here is the pad Thai, but everything else is amazing and you can get enough food for 2 meals for less than $ 7! They are fast and delicious!

Take it for what it is: inexpensive Thai food. It’s quick, ~$ 5 for a lot of food, and near your office. In that context, it’s a pretty good lunch option if you’re on a budget. This isn’t the place to try a complicated dish or even something you aren’t familiar with. I’ve had decent success ordering the Thai Beef Salad(tell them to go easy on the dressing) and Drunken Noodles.

I get the chicken pad thai here about once a week, and have been for a year now. It’s cheap and filling and they make it fresh in the back. It’s not an upscale place, but it’s good for a quick bite. Plus, the staff here are quick, friendly and nice.

The food was great. Service is fast, and people are nice. however. I just found a broken piece of glass in my phad thai I took home that I cut my mouth on. I was chewing on it and it cut the inside of my mouth. I could tell it was a larger piece at one point because I found a few pieces I had to spit back out. If this was found in my food, makes me wonder where it came from and what is not being done properly

This place always seems packed for lunch and there is a reason! Thai 2 go offers perfectly portioned lunch«mini» sizes that always fill me up. I haven’t had too many items on their menu, but absolutely love their pineapple curry! There is an outdoor patio area right outside, so you can enjoy your food and get some fresh air! Bonus, the lady always remembers me so I don’t have to order :-)…

I have to admit when my co workers were talking this place up I was a bit hesitant. It is in a little good court and there isn’t much too it so needless to say I was weary. But the menu is fairly extensive and it is pretty authentic. I like my thai food spicier than most. Not only was my fired rice spicy but they have a nice little mix of sauces. My favorite being thai chiles in fish sauce. I will definitely be a repeat visitor and slowly try everything on the menu. Great prices too!

No way. Come for the pad Thai if you enjoy a sugar rush. I expected so much more from the busy crowd, but it appears no one orders the pad thai and now I know why! It’s like having noodles with sweet sauce, that’s it! No lime to kick the sweet at least. Not sure I’d want to try anything else here. Portions are big, but what’s the point when you can’t eat it?

This is my to go place for lunch in downtown. I work at the SMT so I walk a couple blocks down a few times a week to get phad thai or thai fried rice. The phad thai is my favorite because the noodles are always wet and that’s the way I like it. The line gets long and goes out the door at lunch time but they are very quick. Most of the food is cooked to order and hot trays don’t ever look dried out. The food is always consistent and the portions are very generous. $ 6 lunch in downtown? I’ll take that any day.

I rarely update reviews unless about a year has passed. Since I’ve visited Thai 2 Go many times, I feel that an update is warranted. Still the cheapest deal within walking distance of my office. Still the best place to get a fortune cookie with your meal. Each time I visit, I see the same smiling faces. The lovely woman that takes my order and the lovely woman that takes my money and packs my food. Both are very friendly and offer a consistent level of service. The lady who takes my order always seems to be trying to guess what I’m going to order as she reaches for a container. Chicken noodle soup? Garlic chicken? Swimming Rama? She’s almost always right. My favorite is the chicken noodle soup. It’s warm, spicy, and comforting. My second favorite is the garlic chicken with the right sized cuts of chicken and the perfect balance of spices. I like it spicer on most days and end up putting more peppers over the top. After that, it’s a tie. I have been completely satisfied with everything I’ve had here. I don’t even like pad see ew. I’ll eat it here because unlike other places, their noodles are not slimey. The swimming rama has great flavor and the right amount of spinach. Can you tell I’m a fan? I’ve had a few hot dishes out of the warmer such as the crispy chicken. It’s good but I definitely prefer ordering off the menu. One of the few downsides here is a small, crowded dining area which is compounded by very little room to stand while you wait for a takeout order. Be careful as you exit the door nearest the street, there’s a little trip hazard.
