Day karaōke, need I say more? Drinks are cheap, karaōke songs are flowing and everyone is having a jolly old time… definitely worth a stop if in Cap Hill.

LOVED this place! Came through on a business trip and if I lived in Seattle, I’d visit here all the time. First, for a dive bar, it’s surprisingly open and airy — no stale smoke and sweat sort of vibe here. Second, the woman running the karaōke line was one of the best DJs I’ve seen — got everyone in rotation fairly, none of that«tip to get your song in» dance that a lot of folks play these days in big cities. The crowd was supportive, singers were pretty good for a karaōke crew, and the drinks weren’t bad. It’s definitely a beer or hard liquor sort of place — wine was out of tiny travel bottles.

This place is fun. This was my first karaōke experience and it was great, not perfect but good. First and foremost, this place is and always will be a DIVE. Do not come here if you are looking for private karaōke or a more upscale bar environment. THEGOOD: Bartenders were very friendly and efficient Drinks were reasonably priced They have a huge selection of karaōke songs to choose from The vibe inside is great THEBAD: It gets really busy really quick, which I guess is only a bad thing for me and not the owners Takes a while for your song to come up when you sing karaōke because everyone wants to sing, which is great, but also bad Sensual Chocolate the DJ/MC had a poor attitude At the end of the day this dive bar is a fun time if you love karaōke, but get there early or you will be waiting a couple hours for your song to come up.

Song selection was a bit lacking imo, but the boyfriend and I were able to find one song each as well as one to do together. I rarely do karaōke for lack of finding a place where I’m comfortable, but this place delivered the right atmosphere and the right amount of alcohol to satisfy my karaōke craving. Friendly patrons and staff, will definitely visit next time I’m in Seattle!

This place is great. Its an open karaōke bar. Definitely come here if you have a free weekend night. It’s just a really fun atmosphere to be in. The people that night were great and pretty much sang along or cheered on the singer. I get crazy stage fright, but The Cresent Lounge has such a easy vibe. Even the bouncer that night was approachable!

Awesome place to hang. I celebrated my birthday in here and the people here are so loving since maybe because of the small area that it covers. Now the drinks are way too over priced for the delivery and execution of it. There’s only one bar tender and I believe she needs a partner in bar tending. But nonetheless, this place is a great hangout place for anything.

My fiancé and I came in here during their happy hour while waiting for a restaurant to open and it was very cute, divey with all sorts of cool decorations. Paula took care of us and even recommended some good restaurants to try after telling her that we are new in town. The patrons in there were really friendly and funny. Since we started drinking early on, we didn’t get a chance to stay for karaōke, but it seems like fun!

Good hole in the wall place, but you may wait awhile because people sure do love karaōke!

As a traveller in Seattle, I decided to travel across the city for karaōke club. Went first to few clubs in this street and felt welcome everywhere, nice atmo in the area. But at the door of this place was a totally different story. Rude person at the door who asked for id. I had my driving licence and bank cards with my picture but no. He wanted my passport only. So, if you aim to go there, you better be enjoying a night out having your passport…

Ah this lounge. Went here for my first time last Saturday with my best friends. We originally had plans to go to Rockbox as we needed to karaōke, but they were booked so I looked around and voila! The crescent lounge appeared and my god it was a blast! It’s an intimate space, but that’s all great as they leave the door open to allow a nice air flow. The drinks are strong and well priced. The bartenders are friendly and attentive. Best bar I’ve been to in the city. No douches thank Buddha and everyone(clientele included) was awesome and having a blast. The karaōke set up is awesome as it’s got a stage and SOMANYCHOICESFORSONGS, be warned it gets busy and you could have to wait a while to perform, so write a few songs down on your ticket if you really wanna stunt on some fools with your mad karaōke flow. Definitely coming back, specifically for my birthday, cause I’m a creature of habit once I find something I really enjoy. Keep being awesome staff!

Divey karaōke bar. Song selection is decent although it’s kinda divided sporadically between songlist books. Stage is really close to everyone. Wouldn’t quite call it a stage haha.

The DJ was never aware of who was singing better than others. All he was concerned with was if the songs were current. It took forever to get thru his preferential rotation which he repeated people that were relatively sub par. We had to wait through really bad tone to hear anything worth while. Small town place with a dive for style hardly worth visiting. I was able to sing more songs in Chicago NY and LA than anything here yet they were so arrogant to presume Seattle was better. Pride over customer service. They had none of the classics in their book, no Billy Joel, Eagles or even Neil Diamond. I had to ask. But when I sang the crowd loves Sweet Caroline. How do you do a karaōke set without that and Piano Man? The two bar tenders would only take drinks at one place at the bar. So you had to walk around the bar to get drinks. What’s that about? The staff was not very friendly, in fav when I called them on the DJ they stood up for him. When you drop a hundred bucks you should be able to sing at least three songs. I’ve done 5 – 6 in the same time in bigger more crowded and sophisticated cities. I wouldn’t go back and I wouldn’t recommend you do either. Bit I guess there’s no accountability and they probably wont change their arrogant ways. PJL Architect for a major aerospace company…

If you’re looking for a offbeat dive bar, on Capitol Hill with nightly karaōke this is the spot to hit! This service and the staff are amazing ! The singing is off kilter! But you’re sure to have a good time as long as you respect the staff! Obey the karaōke rules that go along with this bar, you can make up your own song compilation, just make sure that everyone in the bar has a good time! I recommend at this Bar, you get a PBR a Coors lite, or a double vodka soda extra lime! Words the warning, the bathroom should be. Even though this is a dive bar in a dive bar! Parking can be a pain in the rear and, but you know what… it’s worth it! Make friends with the staff, because the staff is what makes your night happen! Because if you screw with them your night will be the less than a shitty karaōke song, you’ll be seeing the tunes inside the King County Jail!

Not the most expensive, but also not the cheapest. The vibe at the bar is eclectic, but full of a garden variety«Woo Girl» that seems to be invading the area. Karaōke to your hearts content, but what has its roots as a goofy and raucous event was dominated by Taylor Swift and Mumford and Sons(played at least 6 times in a single hour). Take your friends, try it out and see if the mélange of folks here is your crowd or not.

A fun place if you’re familiar with the bar, but if you go for karaōke you’d better be comfortable with your song because the lyrics on mine stayed at least a full bar ahead. Security and bartender were quick to act when a patron approached me like a Jack Russell would approach a table leg, so kudos to the staff. The drinks were all right and I’m uncertain if I’d return but the regulars seemed to be having fun and the crowd was enthusiastic for all its singers.

This is the worst… People picked songs that are hard to get along with,…I wanted to come here for a fun night and it literally took an hour to get a song my friends liked… sadness I really hoped it would be better… they were very nice about the long wait… It way just such a shame that it wasn’t better because I was super super excited

This bar is so much fun. Don’t go for the sound system, but do go for the friendly bar tenders and patrons! Also, how can you complain about a place that will cheer you on while singing Celine Dion? Either way, one of my absolute favorite Seattle bars.

I have never had an experience like I just had. This bar would have been sub par, barely ok. My friend and I entered the bathroom which was only one stall. Shortly after someone knocked on the door telling us it was one person at a time. When I exited a very rude woman who worked there yelled at me for using the restroom and informed me it was one person at a time. I apologized for not knowing that was the rule because it was not written anywhere. She then yelled at my friend, called her ugly and kicked us out of the bar. I have never experienced anything like this. I have never felt so angry and abused. If I could give negative stars I would. If I could advise everyone to walk in and abuse the staff I would. This bar is undoubtedly the worst bar I have ever been too. Horrendous and terrible! On every level. DONOTEVERGOHERE! WORSTEVER

Leaving Alaska, my flight was delayed heading back to DC. I was stuck in Seattle for three days. I love Seattle now and this bar is a major contributing factor. Karaōke rules and it rules especially here. Thanks for the fun memories with such interesting people. One of my favorite bar experiences ever.

I went with a group of friends. First thing I noticed was that there wasn’t much space and it was tricky to get a place to sit together. Alcohol was quite expensive, but what do you expect in a bar in Capitol Hill? 10 dollars for 2 Corona’s and 4 dollars for a not even 24 oz of Rainier means that I won’t be frequenting this place. The bartender checked in on us quite a bit. He seemed annoyed with my somber facial expression. But, what can I say, the majority of the karaōke was not entertaining. There were definitely highlights, but most of the time people seemed half-asleep when they got up there. Seems to have a reputation as a gay bar, but you won’t feel out-of-place as a straight dude. Most of the people there seemed to be in their 30s or 40s. I never had to wait on the bathroom. That’s important.

We were in Seattle this weekend for a friend’s wedding. It also happened to be my birthday on Friday and, after we attended a casual get together with the happy couple, I wanted to sing karaōke. Bad. This bar has karaōke every day. That’s right. EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. There are also wonderful people singing and supporting the singers. I made friends with a lovely couple, one of whom has been singing there for 10+ years. Good times. This is a popular spot so don’t expect to sing a lot. However, I was thrilled to get two songs in before we headed back to our B&B for some much needed beauty sleep.

This place would’ve gotten three stars if not for the heinous karaōke I was subjected to. It was horrible. And I kind of loved it. This bar is straight grimey, but the crowd gives it heart. I asked the bar tender for something girly and he knew what was up. The drink was cheap for the amount of vodka, which I can definitely appreciate, and the entertainment was… heartening. If you’re into dives, give it a go. It’s kind of gross in an oddly charming manner and centrally located so that when you’re trashed and craving something sweet you can head to Pie bar and get your mixed berry on without missing more than a couple of minutes of karaōke.
