This place is cool. Its slightly a dive bar and not to many bros. The cocktails aren’t weak either. It’s also a Bengals bar during football season! Who-dey!

They are changing ownership and it’s no surprise. I went twice and was completely ignored the first time and the second time they weren’t serving food.

Very bad experience. I went three weeks ago with some friends on Friday for some drinks afterwork. I am not a English-speaking native but my English is quite good. I went to the bar to order a beer and a Saphire & tonic and the woman bartending was quite rude. I said«Saphire and tonic» few times and she didn´t understand me which, as a non-English speaker native, I understand but the way she replied to me was extremely rude. She said«You keep saying but I don´t know what you say!!»(with an aggresive expresion in her face) like I was saying something stupid. Sometimes my accent(Spaniard) is not understood, but living in a city with a large International population like Seattle makes the Seattleites kinda empathetic with those whose first language is not English. Well, this wasn´t the case here. She was very rude. Finally she was able to understand what I was ordering. But the second time I went to order the same thing, she acted the same way. I was kinda frustrated since I was ordering the same thing. I concluded that or she was having a bad day or she was xenophobic or homophobic(I went with my husband and gay friends). Either one I am never going back or recommend it.

Excellent location if you’re looking for easy going folk. Friendly every time, not too friendly though. There’s definitely a balance for that! There is a pool table that is cheap but popular, although I’ve had no trouble joining in with current players or getting into the queue. Don’t come here on the weekend expecting to have the table all to yourself. The food is good bar food. Nothing on the menu is more expensive than $ 11. Burgers, salad, fish n’ chips. I’ve been here to play book, eat, & study. There’s also a large screen if you want to catch the game.

There are many reasons to dislike the Dubliner. It used to be a really cool dive bar 1 or 2 years ago, but the cool left when ownership changed and now they’re just left with divey grime. Anyway, it’s kind of dirty(ick the bathrooms), service is meh, and the drunk regulars are annoying. Prices are alright but don’t really make up for the ambience. All that being said, I go to the Dubliner a lot. It’s never insanely packed and it’s pretty big so it’s a good place to meet up with friends before going out for the night. They have trivia on Wednesday and karaōke on Tuesday(although I heard the blonde kj was leaving so I don’t know what will happen).

A poor imitation of an Irish pub. Avoid if you can. Food is terrible, drinks aren’t good and it’s frequented by homeless people.

Staff is friendly the other guess we’re nice also the drinks were also cheap but the menu wasn’t really the Irish it was just Generic bar food but it was price far I would say it is a great bar but if you are looking for a Irish place not so much I would defiantly go back again

Gross bar. A drunk perv at the bar started talking to me and my friend and then started touching me. I told the bartender and promptly moved to a spot at the end of the bar where there was no space to eat. Instead of kicking out the drunk guy, they let him stay and eat at the bar — needless to say we left before our food ever came. Never going back there again.

First time at the Dubliner and our bartender was so rad– we will definitely be back. Wish I would have gotten his name(had big plugs, usually works as a cook) but he was so awesome and sweet it totally made our night! And made some top notch wings!

The Dubliner is a laid back dive bar with a pool table and a small stage mostly frequented by stoners. I like it. I have been here twice now and both times I have been welcomed to play pool by friendly locals. Last night(Tuesday) was busier than other area bars with a karaōke DJ on hand — not a great sound system, but fun none the less. This will be a regular stop for me when in Fremont.

The Dubliner presents itself as a well seasoned English pub — if it was smaller it’d be considered a hole in the wall. It’s got quite a few tables and a medium size bar. Happy hours specials are $ 5 which is a good deal. Service is so-so(decent, but not over the top) when it’s super busy, but you really can’t complain. My main complaint is that there’s very little air circulation starting about one table from the door. The few fans they have inside pretty much suck. I’ve been here three times now because it always seems to be the happening place by my local friends. Not much happening here though. Still, I’m a fan because the beer is good, cold and cheap. Cheers!

A good place to meet new people, who are typically friendly by my guesstimate. They have a good selection of beers. It’s not a gastropub or anything fancy, just a local watering hole, and that’s just fine by me.

Nothing makes me happier than paying for the last beer in the keg and being told that its totally normal. I get it that sometimes it happens but when someone says they would like another beer that isn’t flat and tasted like licking ass, it would be nice not to be mocked as well.

In my grand tradition of going to dive bars, Dubliner is my dive in Fremont. It was the perfect location, right around the corner from work, and typically only filled with regulars. So it was strange that I’d only been there twice in the full five months that I worked in Fremont. But after coming back to Seattle for a visit, a few friends and I managed to meander in during their Sexy Bingo Night, and lo and behold, our friend won the grand prize! I love The Dubliner, the bartenders are great, and Sexy Bingo Night is fun. They always have stuff going on, and they have decent brews on tap!

Every neighborhood has one of these. It’s «the Irish bar,» one half of which is filled with folks who are there all day(like, literally, all day), and the other half is your normal Fremonters. They have some tasty local beers on tap, alongside the British Isle staples(Guiness, Boddingtons). Their food is alright, your typical Irish pub fare. Everything about this place is typical. Typical typical typical. +1 weird point for being an Irish pub with Fela Kuti on the jukebox. EDIT: Jukebox is gone. You lose all your weird points.

DH had to go real bad! So we stopped here. It’s literally down the street from where we’re staying, but DH could not wait. This place pretty hopping for 7pm in the evening, although got a place at the bar. No food ordered here, but stopped in for drinks. Seemed like a decent place– juke box was playing with regulars milling around. I could smell pastry, not sure from what though. This is what I come to Seattle for, the experience! They have a pool table & nice cushy places to hang out in. I myself always frequent the bar. I think we’re going to settle into our room and run back down to this area. Would rather be walking. Watching soccer right now. Okay, not me, but DH is! Come join us!

Went here last month for a friend’s birthday party. Staff was super friendly and they had a good selection of drinks. They also had really good prices — their happy hour is pretty nice. I agree with some of the other reviewers here though — this bar isn’t really Irish. If so, it’s the least Irish bar I’ve ever been to. Most pubs I’ve seen don’t have pool tables or karaōke. It’s also pretty dark and dirty, in my opinion. Not that most bars aren’t dark or slightly dingy… but this place just had more of a filthy feeling to me. Overall, however, I had a good time here and I’d come back.

Came here on St. Patty’s Day this year. It wasn’t bad but we did have to wait in line for half an hour around 9 p.m. that night. It was cold but it got warmer inside. The $ 1 green jello shots were fun but the foul smell of poop and fart near the bar WASNOT. What the hell was up with that? The stench really made the experience really weird but memorable, I guess. There was a live band playing Irish music and the crowd was pretty diverse and outrageous. Lots of cool green gear around the bar and lots of tables and places to stand around. It’s a decent bar but I prefer the others in the Fremont neighborhood.

The more I go to Fremont the more I’m glad I live in Capitol Hill. Everyone raves about the Fremont scene but I find it pretty lackluster.(I do love Brouwers though!) I was at the Dubliner last night and had a strange experience. I was with some friends who are all of age but I just wasn’t in the mood to drink. When we approached the bar the bartender sternly asked for IDs. I gladly showed him mine and then when he asked what I was having I said«Oh, nothing for me thanks.» Guess what he did? He gave me a DIRTYLOOK! Ha. That’s never happened before. To top things off, the bar just wasn’t that cool. It’s a good spot if you want to play pool or cards. There were a few tables of guys playing poker and sports were being broadcast on the TV. Very much a hangout spot for locals and people who are looking to unwind after a day at work. Nothing special.

Hanging out in the Fremont area to do a tour of Theo Chocolates, swung by here to catch March Madness and a bite to eat. Pretty empty on a Saturday afternoon with the handful of other customers there to watch the game too. They had a pretty tasty Strongbow Cider, which was new to me. With a limited Pub Grub menu to work with, we shared an order of their Fish & Chips($ 9). It came with about four pieces of fish and seasoned french fries(similar to a BBQ seasoning). The standout was their tartar sauce that had hints of dill in it. Yum yum! Happy hours are 3 pm to 8 pm, which includes $ 3 pints, wells, & wines. 3.5 stars.
