This location is not closed. Wonderful staff who always smile when you come in and they really appreciate your business. Great salad and bibimbap, some sushi-rolls to go among many other quick and healthy lunch options! Breakfast is fantastic as well.

Went and had their breakfast burrito and it was okay. Nothing great but not bad either. It was also a little spicy which I am not a fan of thus could be the reason for the rating I gave. You wouldn’t know about this place unless you saw the sign in the alley or work in the building though. It is located in the basement. I did see that they had snacks as well(yogurt, candy bars, bags of chips and soft drinks) if you work nearby and need to get your snack on!

Despite being in my work’s building, I have never purchased lunch here until today, for the sheer fact I didn’t want to endure the crazy wind we are experiencing. Coming from the lobby you take the far elevator near Wells Fargo to level A/B which is conveniently marked«The Original Deli». You walk in, and though it’s not worn down or dirty, it shows it’s age(been here since the 70’s). The menu looks like something from a cafeteria. I order a baked potato & salad. They are out of potato. I was getting lunch at 1pm, so it’s excusable since they are only a breakfast & lunch deli. I ended up going with a half salad half soup combo, which in total cost $ 7.25. I bring up the price because I could of got a better meal for a couple dollars more at the«pricy» salad bar around the block. The salad had a couple green leaves in it, but mostly iceberg and shredded red cabbage. The only topping options for the salad were cheddar cheese, blue cheese, olives, cucumber, tomatoes, & green onions. The soup not only tasted like it was something out of a can, but the texture was as if it was made a week ago and kept getting reheated. It was more of a chowder than soup. I honestly just hate paying extra for obviously cheap ingredients.

The service is friendly but the food… Meh The french dip was mear 3 thin slice of roast beef. The teriyaki checken was awful. It tasted like the rice was not washed and the chicken was not grilled and poured teriyaki sauce over it. the tomato basil soup was ok. Eventhough I did order the beef vegetable soup. I thought something hidden behide the Wellsfargo bank would be a gem. Yuck! Its probably the worst teriyaki chicken I ever had. I will never go there again.

I wouldn’t frequent the deli as often if I didn’t work so close by. This place brings me back to the cafeteria in elementary school. Wednesday’s are lasagna days and the deli lady does not disappoint. Also similar to elementary school, they close down at 2:30PM and run out of the«tasty» lunch specials before noon. Nonetheless, the chef makes me laugh and they don’t charge me for extra bread.

While the location feels like a speakeasy from the outside, there is no charm inside, it’s just dated and plain. Of course no one comes to a deli like this for the ambiance. The soup was very good; however the sandwich was meh. The very friendly service and reasonable prices may bring me back to try a breakfast option.

I eat at this place way too much. I enjoy the reliability of the food and the closeness of the location. I wouldn’t say the food is spectacular enough to write home about. It is, however, the same daily and quite good.

Uh oh, down an alley way… surprise! haha. Apparently it’s been here since the 70’s? Not bad, man. The front door isn’t obvious unless you read the signage near the alley entrance. Upon entering you do feel like you’d find someone in a plaid shirt, bell-bottoms, and sporting an afro, but despite that it is rather clean and cool for what and where it is. The(i’m guessing japanese/korean?) gentleman welcomed me and motioned to the specials. Seems like a soft-spoken yet friendly guy who has a subtly happy aura around him. The food prep area looked nice & organized & clean. I thought I noticed the walls had some sort of electronic illuminated artsy pictures. Actually nice. I’ll probably swing by again later.
