Great service, great food, great price. This will make your drunk belly or your sober belly very happy.

The tortas are ok and I normally would have rated them higher but they keep messing up my order. I hate cilantro and uncooked/pickled onions so I always order without either and they keep putting them on. The last time I asked them nicely to remake it and when I got home the second sandwich also had onions on it too. That’s just being spiteful. I’ll give them one more shot since they are so close but I’ve never had this problem at Tacos Chukis.

Colin F and Frank L hit the nail on the head. This place has good food but the $ 10 price tag on a 6 inch sandwich is a head scratcher. Don’t get me wrong, the food is good, but not great. I’ve eaten the«Hole Mole» and Pulled Pork sandwich. The service is as good as you would get for a take-out joint and it’s fun to watch your food being made through the window, but $ 10 is steep. Especially for a small sandwich. Bottom line this place is convenient and good enough, but if you want to get your sandwich on, Paseo’s will give a bigger and better sandwich for the same price.

I ordered the charred broccolini and it was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. I tried my friend’s pulled pork, which was incredible as well, but oh my God, my torta was phenomenal. I’m currently laying in bed thinking about that sandwich from yesterday and that is how I ended up pulling out my phone to open Unilocal and write this. That’s how good this torta was. I can’t fall asleep because I’m thinking about how awesome it was.

I had a delicious mole tortas here. It was juicy and delicious, and filled with braised beef, cotija, pickled red onion, cilantro, and smoked chili mayo. It was a short wait to get my food, even though they make every sandwich fresh. There’s no seating here, so your only option is to take your food to go or find a bench nearby to sit on. In the winter, that can be challenging.

Hands down one of the most delicious sandwich joints in town. Its small. And perfect and everything is 10 dollars but honestly it tasted so good they could be charging 50. Perfect for a late night snack or really anytime(except for morning because they’re not open till 4). I had the Mole Beef that was dripping with juicy delight. Nice dark mole, a bit smokey but cut through by the rich fattiness of the beef and everything else was the cherry on top.

Pretty amazing sandwiches and reasonably priced. The Chorizo torta was my favorite of the night. We also got the mole and pulled pork. Everything was super juicy and saucy(messy). The bread itself was amazing too, great texture and super good at soaking up sauce as well. Open late night, super fast and fresh ingredients makes this place a go to spot for me.

Decided to write my first review just for this place. My friend and I were extremely piss drunk this last weekend and somehow ended up here. I don’t remember too much, but I remember that we got there right as they were closing and we were very persistent on getting a sandwich, The guy said that he would make an exception for us and made us a couple. I don’t remember much from Saturday, but I remember that the burrito that we ate was by far the best thing I have ever eaten in my life. I will definitely be going here from now on for my late night eats. Thank god I paid on my card so I had evidence of where I got this tasty torta treat. The paper it was wrapped in was just okay. Ate about half of that in my drunken state. The paper = 3⁄5.

I’m so glad my friend took me here because the pulled pork torta was fucking amazing! I’m not big on sandwiches and I told him I’ve never had a torta before because it’s a sandwich haha. You should have seen his face, it was a mixed between shocked, disbelief, and embarrassment. Any who, he lives only a couple blocks away and after wandering around to a couple bars nearby, we decided to end our night with a torta. I was told to order the pulled pork because it was«life changing» and indeed, my life changed after that. Seriously, where have I been? The bread was so soft and buttery, the sandwich it self was huge, the size of my fore arm! And definitely stuff with a good amount of yummy pulled pork. I love love love that there was jalapeños in it. Had a nice kick I wasn’t expecting. I took a bite while I was driving home and I really wanted to pull over just to finish eating it, because it was so good. I got home and text my friend thanking him for introducing me to this torta life hahaha. I only had half the sandwich before I passed out but the other half wasn’t too bad for breakfast the next day. I might end up liking sandwiches after all because I had it Friday night and haven’t been able to stop thinking about it all weekend lol, seriously that good!

The place is great but they sure as hell could have added to their House Chorizo description that it brings jalapeños. I hate spicy food and this burned my mouth at 1am and I didn’t have water at the hotel I was staying. I feel like egging their windows right now!

Dear Seattle, Where are these reasonably priced large portions you’re always comparing everything to and complaining about? As far as I can tell, everything in this city is at least $ 10, and I consider anything at or below that price a bargain — Tortas Condesas included. This entire city may be one giant ripoff, but at least it’s a pretty consistent one. This was the best and most reasonably priced sandwich I’ve had in Seattle so far, and I could barely finish my delightful chorizo sandwich of deliciousness. Extremely messy, but filling and comparable to my beloved Portland in terms of value and portion size. This isn’t a super comprehensive review, but it’s a small space and I’m tired of reading that everything in this town is overpriced for what you get. It’s overpriced, but they’re human-sized portions with high-quality ingredients and recipes, not 12″ Subway $ 5 footlongs that make you ill for days afterwards. Get over it. Tortas Condesa is awesome, reasonable for Capitol Hill, and a quick and pleasant experience. Go there!

This is my second amazing sandwich find in Washington! Located around the bar scene in Capitol Hill, Tortas Condesa is a small hole in the wall with glass windows that allow its customers to see their sandwich makers creating masterpieces. After a night of bar hopping, this latenight find was most appreciated. The tortas are about $ 10 a sandwich. They’re a pretty decent sized and filled with meat. I had ordered and split the House Chorizo and their Mole tortas with another friend. Both sandwiches were very tasty. I especially enjoyed their mole torta which was packed with meat and seasoned at the right amount. The House Chorizo was flavorful. a little too flavorful(or salty) for my tastes. There isn’t much to say about the actual restaurant becuase its more of a take-out establishment. They do have some seating outside of it, but if its pouring, you have better luck with enjoying your sandwich after an Über ride home. My friend got some sass from the cashier when she asked to have separate bills for two sandwiches that she ordered. Maybe she thought my friend was over intoxicated, but she soon apologized when she realized that she wasn’t.

I’m a sucker for a good torta, so I was very excited to give Tortas Condesa a shot. I rolled up here at 6:30 on Halloween night. The Olive Way bar strip was still fairly quiet, so we were the only customers here. I went for the House Chorizo torta(chorizo, avocado, and a fried egg? Heck yes!), which set me back $ 10. Service was surly as many other reviewers have noted below, but that’s not something I really care about when I’m just grabbing takeout. As long as they give me right food at the end, that box is checked. We went into Montana next door to wash down our tortas with some beer. The House Chorizo was absolutely on point. I also could not relate to complaints that the tortas were on the smaller side as I was absolutely stuffed after eating mine. It had a generous heaping of chorizo that kept falling out my sandwich with every bite I took. A couple of my friends got the Pulled Pork torta, and they said it was excellent as well. What a worthy successor to the Kedai Makan takeout window!

The pulled pork was very moist/flavorful and loved the light toasting of the bun! My only complaint is that it was pricy for the amount of food you get. If they upped the portion size I would definitely consider becoming a regular there. Otherwise, it’ll stay a periodic snack. The workers were also very friendly!

The interior looks completely different from when kedai mekan was here. I ordered the pulled pork torta. For people who don’t know what a torta is, it’s just a hot Mexican sandwich. I really enjoyed my torta. The pulled pork was super tender and juicy. I’ve had some pulled pork that had some dry bits in it but the pulled pork here is consistent throughout the sandwich. There is also tomatillo salsa, caramelize onions and peppers, cabbage and cilantro. The salsa gave it a small kick to the sandwich which is always nice. All the flavors of the tortas worked really well and I would come back. I feel like this is one of the better tortas I’ve had flavor-wise. I do think the torta is slightly towards the pricier side because it isn’t that large. If it was cheaper or larger, this place would easily deserve a 5 star.

Had the holy mole the first few days they opened. It was amazing. Great bread. Wonderful meat. But the favor was lacking in comparison to other mole sauces I’ve had. Still good. Tonight I had the pulled pork. Holy crap. One of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. The cilantro and pickled jalapeños added so much flavor and the pork was amazing. The perfect blend of substantial and moist soggy sandwich goodness. 5 stars for sure. And they get bonus points for the cute folks that work there and the plants :)

My Holy Molè! Is freaking amazing. The soft buttered toasted roll that absorbs the grease with crunchy toasty parts, the sauce, the pickled onions, the ingredients, the heat, and the texture and contrasting flavors really take it to the next level. Simply awesome! So far I see negative reviews based on service. I had no problems with their service but a torta like this the cashier could punch me in the face and all will be forgiven after one bite of the amazing sandwich. Another saying this isn’t a traditional Mexican torta. Well, Torta’s are found, yes in Mexico, but also Spain and Italy, and I am always happy with creative licensing. This torta, because ITIS a Torta because it comes in a torta bread, i Whatever, it’s freaking good, with good ingredients that coast money. Shut up and shove this deliciousness in your mouth! End of Anthony Bourdain style rant.

For just opening they are off to a good start! The House Chorizo is spectacular! I also tried The Montana which reminded me if a White Castle hamburger. Yum!

The service here is terrible. I saw the waitress talk to her friends for a good 10 minutes while people were waiting to order. At no time did she say I’ll be with you in a minute yet prattled on about some guy she hooked up with. They also lost our order so it took 45 minutes to get our food. Why are there no prices on the menu and why does it cost $ 10 for a torta?

In two words: Fucking awesome! Didn’t even care that there were no prices on the menu. If you’re following up Kedai Makan in this space, you deserve my money(at least once). We ordered the house made chorizo and the jalapeño.($ 10 each.) Mother of god. The chorizo is perfectly spiced, the bread is both soft and crispy. Jalapeño doesn’t disappoint in its spice. If you’re mayo averse, don’t worry, it’s not overwhelming — more of an accent. They split them in two, so share with a friend or save the other half for tomorrow morning’s hangover. This is the perfect drunk food. Come here and indulge!
