I give them kudos for Judi’s wonderful relaxed composure, williams professional manner-experience, and creativity. It has been a wild rapid ride for me, and they have been kind and made me feel like I could look«better» than my before. I encourage you to check your insurance, pay for the best piece/wig you can afford. I tried a long, beautiful dark hair piece that made me feel like a movie star! Highly encouraged!

My 15 year old daughter and I had gone to several wig shops and places for cancer patients but nothing she saw was exactly what she wanted. I told her she may need to get something that was the best of what she would settle for. As the last place to go because I knew it was going to be more expensive than the other wig places, we went to WCD. She saw William who was very professional, kind, just a lovely person. Nancy also helped us throughout our entire process who was wonderful also. When I saw the look of happiness on my daughters face as she had on the wig that she had wanted all along, i knew I couldn’t refuse her. William was the first person who really listened to her and knew exactly what look she wanted. The wig was more than I wanted to spend but it was something that I knew would give her confidence to show her face when she lost all her hair. I felt it may help her to have one ray of happiness during her awful cancer treatment. This is exactly what happened! However the first wig we received ended up coming apart at some of the seams. William gave her a more expensive, better quality wig and sent the first wig back to the manufacturer to get fixed. My daughter was even more elated with this new wig. The hair was softer, it was longer, the blonde color was better, and the cap was a lace type which was better than the first wig. He never charged us for this upgraded 2nd wig. So we essentially got 2 wigs for one. They just have been so extremely kind and helpful to us throughout all our dealings with them. We have recommended WCD to everyone in our situation. without reserve.

My hair has been thinning and I was very concerned about a deep part on the crown of my head. The part seemed to be more pronounced as a result of my hair loss and I was concerned the hair loss would continue and I would need a hair piece. I made an appointment and met with one of the specialists. She was wonderful. She inspected my scalp and part and advised me against using their services. She spoke to me about my hair loss which she felt was temporary. She took the time to speak with me and ally my fears of going bald and needing a wig or hair piece. The care and time she gave me even though I wasn’t going to be a client were excellent. If you need their services I am sure you will be in good hands with the professionals at William Collier Design.

Nancy helped me and was just so wonderful. From the initial phone call to getting me Immediately in for an appointment — she was a treasure! Parking was close and the service was fast. My total bill came to less that was estimated. What a resource and the entire experience was CHARMING!

My partner has experienced some hair loss, and as a semi-regular client of WCD, decided to have a partial hairpiece made. She saw Echo, who took the measurements and did the fitting, as well as trimmed my partner’s hair. When we returned a couple of months later for the piece, we realized that it didn’t match my partner’s natural hair at all. Echo suggested sending it back to the vendor and have some adjustments made, at no cost to us, and we agreed. The vendor refused to make any adjustments, so my partner emailed WCD, asking for a refund. After about three weeks of no response, we returned to WCD to speak with Nancy, who describes herself as William’s assistant. Nancy claimed that she never received an email from us, and tried to blame everything on Echo, who is no longer with the company. After looking in my partner’s file, Nancy promised a full refund, asking for my partner’s information, including credit card number and address. Since it was near the end of the day on July 3rd, she promised to post the refund on Friday the 5th. We never received a refund, and we haven’t gotten the hairpiece back, either. We contacted the Better Business Bureau and filed a complaint, and it is posted to their website. We strongly encourage you to read it before doing business with this company.

I would never recommend this business. I am a cancer patient and bought a $ 3000 real hair wig from them. One might expect that, when spending this much money(and being in a very vulnerable situation) that they would bend over backwards to provide outstanding service. Well, that was not the case. I purchased the wig and they said they would add some ‘drab’ to it, because it didn’t match my original color — which I was trying to match so as not to make it too obvious that I was ill. When I returned I didn’t think they had done anything to it. I know I was not happy with the color but too tired and frankly insecure to complain. We made an appt to ‘fit’ it, which meant shaving my head and cutting it to a style I liked. The wig was very very full(I’m talking Dolly Parton here) and needed a lot of work. I asked William if we could leave a few inches of my own hair(which was just starting to fall out) and he said it would be much easier if we just shaved it. So I agreed — again not wanting to argue. He shaved my head while chit-chatting away with a friend I had brought along, totally insensitive to the effect all this was having on me. He asked me how I wanted it cut and I asked if we could do it in stages, so as not to make a mistake(this is an expensive wig!) He said that he had ‘only scheduled 2 hours for me’ and that he didn’t have time to do 2 cuts. I was intimidated by his brusque and uncaring demeanor. He then proceeded to snip teensy little snips while chatting up my friend, stopping to show her photos of his children, magazines etc. Apparently there was enough time for that in the 2 hours we had scheduled. I felt so left out of the entire operation that I started to cry and got angry. The last thing I needed added to what I was going through was this kind of negative experience. He did apologize but I didn’t feel it was sincere. I returned 2 weeks later for a second ‘free cut’ and shampoo demo. I still thought the wig was way too bulky, but he just basically pretended to cut it — it didn’t change at all. So I ended up with a $ 3000 wig that I never wore. This weekend I went to a woman named Judy at Savvy in Bellevue, who advertises that she’s been cutting wigs for decades. She took one look at this wig, acknowledged that it was a beautiful product but just out and out laughed at the styling and cut. In 15 – 20 minutes she had it looking absolutely gorgeous. But it added $ 63 to the cost of the wig — an expense I never should have had to incur. I think William Collier was afraid to cut it — worried that he’d screw it up and have to refund the money. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place — it’s expensive, cold and

They were very nice to fit me into a busy Saturday when I called the day before. When I arrived, they told me I was actually going to be scheduled with some one other than originally planned. I got a cut and some hair care instruction. Then I got charged $ 150 for it. Hairstyle fail. Too rich for my blood. Probably not going back, even though the cut was fine and I’m sure a lot of specialized training goes into the stylists’ work there. I wish they had let me know about the likely cost beforehand, I just heard of this place by word of mouth and that it would be around $ 80(ballpark), which is far below what I got charged. I guess I didn’t realize when I first shelled out for a fancy wig(and style) that I was also buying future very expensive cuts if I ever wanted it styled.

I have hair loss as a result of bariatric surgery, and it’s been getting progressively worse. I was really stressed out about it, and was so scared to walk into a wig shop and feel embarrassed. Luckily I ran across reviews here for William Collier Design, and took the leap. They are not a wig shop, they’re professionals who specialize in what they do. Yes, you will probably spend more here than you would at a wig shop, but you’ll also end up with a wig that looks like your real hair, not a wig. Isn’t that the whole point? I had a private consultation with Judi, who was extremely kind and helpful, and took her time in answering all of my questions completely. Everyone there made me feel completely at ease. Judi asked me about my price range and didn’t try to push her priciest hairpieces. I ended up ordering a custom wig that exactly matches my shade of hair and is miles above anything I’d find in a wig shop quality-wise. I’ll have to wait 2 months for it to arrive, but I can’t wait. They’ve made this such a low-stress experience for me, I can’t recommend them enough. I will update this review when my wig arrives and I get to see how it looks on me, though I’m positive it’ll be gorgeous.

Love this place — everyone who works there is SUPER friendly. I heard of a stylist there named Echo — and to giver her a try. I heard it was a place mostly for hair restoration… but they do cuts and styles too! ANYWHO — I am a natural blonde, posing as a smart sultry brunette! And that is tricky when you have blonde roots and hair that wants badly to be light… she made it all better! ALSO if you were so inclined — you could get hot extensions! I will be back — every 4 weeks … :)

William Collier and his staff are awesome awesome awesome! I am a recent cancer patient(well twice before I was 30) and have lost my hair a few times. Now its no big deal, but I wanted to make myself into a new person after this last bout with the big C, so I contacted W.C. Design. The staff was so helpful, friendly and kind. I just can’t say enough good things about these folks. They have literally transformed my life. I feel so good in my new wig. If you want to hit me up to see my new wig please PM me. I will let you run your fingers through it(if they are clean of course). The wig is a great quality wig and will last a while if you take good care of them. Anyways, they rock, so if you have cancer or alopecia etc etc give them a call. They will make you feel like a million bucks!
