Wing Wah is my go to for Chinese food. Great price for portion and great quality. They always make it fresh and to order, not too salty and no msg’s. The gal who runs the restaurant is very friendly. Things I’ve ordered included: bbq pork fried rice, honey walnut prawns, cashew chicken, egg rolls, wonton soup, and chicken chow mein.

Ordered the preserved egg and pork congee with some bread on the side. Don’t really know what the bread was called but it was great with the congee. It was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, and came with a dollop of condensed milk to dip in! Yum!

I loveee this place. For the cheap prices, large portions, and super sweet service, I definitely come here for some quality food. It’s strange they try to serve Vietnamese and Thai food here, but I just stick with the Chinese food because that’s what is mostly on the menu. It’s a little chilly here, so wear some warm clothes. I just remember always leaving with a stuffy nose cus it was so cold. But the bathrooms are clean, the tables are clean, and they’re so friendly here. I love their house noodle soup. Tastes a little kick of spice, but it’s so warm and fills you up when it’s cold outside. So definitely order that if you need a warm soup. I can’t remember the price, but I do remember 3 of us eating it and we still had leftovers! Their popcorn chicken is pretty popular here. I will say it’s pretty tasty, and it tastes fresh and pretty addicting! I have also had their beef chow mein, which tastes as it normally does anywhere in Chinatown. I also had their Singaporean noodles which also tastes delicious! I love their steamed chicken appetizer because you get a taste of what their quality is, but it’s also enough chicken to share with a group. And it’s only like $ 5 for the appetizer. Everything is cheap, cheap! Pricing starts at like 4.95 for appetizers, to 10.50 for honey walnut prawns(that’s cheap), to pork chops for 8.95 and fried rices for $ 7…but whatever you get, you will get large portions enough to share with 4 people or more, and the quality is amazing. They try hard to get your food out fast, but I don’t blame them even if they take their time cooking my table 6 dishes(I think there’s only like 1 or 2 chefs)…it’s worth the wait, and the food is always fresh! I have never had anything I didn’t like, and they always checked in on me. Parking lot is pretty spacious, restaurant may be small, but people are always coming here, and the food is authentic, affordable, and pretty tasty!

Reasonably priced, great variety, friendly staff, food is delicious. First choice for ordering take out to feed my crew Harborview on the weekends. Always delivers, never fails.

Wing Wah is a no frills, quality Chinese restaurant. Every dish I’ve had is well made and tasty. The menu is extensive, offering a full Chinese menu, wonton soups and all the comfort dishes so everyone will be happy. Prices are extremely reasonable(under $ 10). There are usually only 2 – 3 people working, so sometimes it can get busy. The place is clean, but the décor could use some sprucing up. As someone whose car has been hit twice while parked in Chinatown, I really appreciate this restaurant has their own parking lot.

I’m a fan! Good, typical Chinese food! I usually get take-out and pick up is super easy because they have their own parking lot. Menu is pretty standard so you should be able to find your favorites!

Food was absolutely delicious. They were very accommodating with special requests. Sadly, there was a disgusting odor of a bathroom visit gone wrong, with an also disgusting odor of air freshener on top of it. We were initially seated by the bathroom, and immediately got up and moved away. Still smelly. No one else seemed to notice it. Hoping it was a fluke. It would be hard to be convinced to go back if the smell is constant. Outside it smelled deliciously like Chinese food. Inside, it was awful. But the food was delicious. So, three stars.

This is one of my dad’s favorite Chinese restaurant. The owners are very friendly and personable. They are flexible enough to accommodate my mom’s low sodium diet. Dishes to try here are: House Special Spicy Noodle, Eggplant and Chicken Hotpot, and the Free-Range Chicken. Little known fact is that the space used to be a Vietnamese restaurant. They still make some Vietnamese dishes. Ask for the menu. We’ve been coming here religiously for years and will likely continue to do so.

Wing Wah is located several blocks away from Uwajimaya, so it’s not surprising that it’s not super well-known. They have their own parking lot, which is nice! The interior isn’t the most appealing, but their prices are what you’re after. The first time I went there was with my bf’s family, and we ordered Chinese-styled(mainly Cantonese) dishes. The restaurant was pretty empty during dinner on Chinese New Year, and it looked like it was just the couple who owns the business working. My bf and I noticed the prices of certain dishes, and decided that we should come back to try them. We finally came back today with a friend for lunch, and it was as empty as before. They offer various types of dishes –Vietnamese, Japanese, Thai, Chinese, and Taiwanese. Given that, the food wasn’t anything spectacular. We ordered two pork and century egg congees, pineapple fried rice, popcorn chicken, and two fried spring rolls. The portions of the congee and fried rice were definitely family-styled, and we ended up with leftovers. I thought the congee wasn’t as flavorful as it could be, but it was a really good amount for under $ 5! Everything tasted fine, and our total came out to be around $ 25. Definitely a great place to visit if you’re looking for cheap and decent Chinese food. Service might be a little more on the slow side though, because it seems like it’s just the couple working there.

What a deal! Large portions of good food for very low prices. Fried Fish with Corn Sauce is an old-school Cantonese dish that is still served in only a few places. It was nice to have found it here. Lots of comforting foods are served here. We also had Popcorn Chicken on Rice and a Green Beans with XO sauce. Both dishes were excellent. If you like Five Spice, you’ll love the popcorn chicken. The green beans were crisp and fresh — great taste.

FOUNDMYNEWGO-TOCHINESEPLACE! I’m with the general populace on this one that it is one of the better Chinese cuisine places in the ID! I don’t know if I’m just getting tired of other places in Chinatown or what(probably true), but Wing Wah Bistro does impress while not really noticeable at first. It’s that random shop that you always drive past but never frequent, but I’m so glad I did go to it the other day. First off, the place is CLEAN. When I went inside, I noticed the tables were wiped down well and the environment just had this feeling of cleanliness. Also, Wing Wah Bistro has a private parking lot out front. We went around 1pm on a Friday, and there was plenty of space. This is definitely a plus for anyone like me who thinks that parking in downtown/Chinatown/Belltown is a bitch with a capital B. Next, their menu. It’s one of those places where the menu is at every table under the glass top. After glancing at the items on the menu, I made a few observations: 1) they have hot pot here, but it is the mini ones, not the ones you eat with your party like Hong Kong Bistro or Little Sheep 2) this place has Taiwanese style food, such as the Taiwanese Pork Chop over Rice and popcorn chicken 3) the drinks they offer are very HK-style ish 4) the house special noodle/rice section is separate from the noodle in soup section, which means the former contains noodle dishes that don’t have soup in them while the latter does 5) this place has PHO 6) prices are CHEAP My buddy and I got the House Special Noodle in Spicy Sauce and String Bean Shrimp(with rice). Below is a breakdown of the two dishes: House Special Noodle in Spicy Sauce –Even looking at the Chinese name, I don’t think I’ve ever had it prior — but it’s like a Korean champon dish with noodles in a spicy soup with lots of seafood, including shrimp and squid. They did not skimp on the seafood at all, definitely an adequate amount. The soup was spicy but not over the top. I’m glad we got this dish on a typical, sprinkling Seattle day because it hit the spot. Totes. String Bean Shrimp –The string beans were very green in color, so you know the veggies they get are fresh. I liked the texture of the string beans because they were crunchy and crisp(as opposed to mushy I guess). Further, there was a plentiful amount of shrimp — nice large pieces of it too! Our bill ended up being around $ 20 without tip. With the expansive menu, fresh dishes, clean atmosphere, inexpensive prices, and friendly service, you bet I’m coming back here! The place also has a sign that says non-customers get charged $ 1 for using the bathroom lol. How European of them!

This hole in the wall is the way I like to call it even though the restaurant is quite large. Their food is very tasty, and cheaper than all of Chinatown restaurants. We were never disappointed at each and every single visit.

Actually the first Chinese restaurant in ID that I had nothing to complain about. There’s free parking, the place was clean, and the food was fast and flavorful. It should be busier than it was when I went(Sat night). I will come back for sure!

My family and I finally decided to try out to this restaurant and I am happy to say that we were pleasantly surprised! About 90% of the dishes are under $ 10 which was extremely surprising! We each ordered a dish thinking they were portioned for an individual due to the cheap price but amazingly enough, the dishes were family size! They also gave us a delicious complementary corn egg drop soup while we waited for our food which was really nice. The food was also perfectly seasoned and the staff was really nice! I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a GOOD, CHEAP Chinese meal!

I wouldn’t exactly classify this place as a bistro. The house special spicy soup and fried egg rolls were very fresh and hot(temp). It is a nice place to go for lunch. They have a good mix of Chinese and Vietnamese dishes.

I started coming to this place a little over a year ago. I can’t believe it’s taken this long for me to officially crank out a review! Food is solid. It’s legit Chinese food that’s NOT greasy and seasoned very well. Did I mention that it’s reasonably priced with generous portions? Win! I’m all for cheap eats and having extra for lunch and this is how I can do it! Usually, if you don’t do takeout you can get a nice cup of hot and sour soup with your meal and almond jello for dessert! The soup is pretty good, I’ve had some mediocre hot and sour soup, I think they take their time to make it taste better than just heaping tablespoons of vinegar and pepper flakes. My fiancé loves the almond dessert, it’s refreshing and light. It’s probably made from a box but something about it makes us crave more lol. Food! I’ve ordered a handful of things, so I can vouch for the crispy seafood noodles, seafood hot pot, honey walnut prawns, sweet and sour spareribs, Malaysian chow fun(yummy if you’re into curry!), beef chow fun, curry fried rice, salt and pepper squid/prawns/pork chops, and popcorn chicken. Order the popcorn chicken in the dinner size! It’s so crispy and addictive, you’ll thank me! I love the food, the menu is extensive so once I try other things I’ll share my thoughts in another review :) There are some places that load up on MSG and oil, I appreciate the fact that this place does not! So the location isn’t in the heart of Chinatown, it’s a little ways up and across the street from New Hong Kong. Parking can be difficult, there’s some spots around the building but for those dudes with lowered cars, um maybe you shouldn’t attempt you will scrape, I know from experience haha. Oh and one more thing! The lady who runs this place is really kind! I always give her my business because she’s very nice and works really hard. This is a mom and pop type of place, she wears multiple hats. Totally deserving of four stars!

This place is located so far out from the rest of what I always mentally associated with Chinatown I never knew it was there. Feel kind of bad for the goldfish in the tank. The glass was so covered in algae I had to peer in to see them. I digress… It’s clean enough in there(aquarium aside) and it’s nice the place has a parking lot compared to its more centrally located ID neighbors that rely on street parking availability and Seattle Metro. On a Monday afternoon, no customers in sight, although most of downtown looked like this. They must have all gone to Il Corvo. I ordered Shanghai Chow Mein and steamed Potstickers for take-out. $ 13 and less than 10 minutes later, I headed home and opened up the containers. All looked well. Shanghai noodles are the larger, fatter noodles which I did not realize and are not my favorite. The sauce is rather bland and nothing special. Potstickers tasted like supermarket frozen variety. Maybe I ordered the wrong things, but I’d probably only come here if I were on that side of the 5.

This place has really good food. Specifically, they prepare each dish from scratch when ordered, rather than adding ‘sauce’ from a package bought at a restaurant supply store to some alleged protein breaded with undisclosed ingredients; the dishes are prepared with care. The things that I have had so for(I have been here twice) salt and pepper tofu, phở tai, eggplant with garlic bean sauce, and orange chicken. Each dish tasted fresh and bright. I don’t particularly like deep fried tofu or fried tofu because the texture al
