I have pictures of my children and their friends at Mimi’s over the last 10 years. The colorful café with painted chairs is so beautifully lit that every portrait comes out with gorgeous tones. Happy little faces with brightly colored chairs and gem-colored Cassis Sorbet(my favorite)! The young staff is kind and considerate, respectful and fun. I love this place. It is a bit pricey but if you keep yourself limited to single scoops this is a delightful place for a treat! One of the few places we still go to even with the tight budget and economy. It is a wonderful splurge full of memories. Sebastopol’s version of Proust’s cookie: Screaming’ Mimi’s sorbet!

This truly is the very best ice cream parlor in all of Sonoma County! Their vast array of flavors with awesome ingredients like local strawberry really set this place apart from the norm! The fresh homemade waffle cones are to die for!

Overall my favorite ice cream place everrrrr, I’m a bit of a chocolate junky and this place is amazing. You have to taste the Mimi’s Mudslide if you’re a fan of chocolate it’s excellent! You will not regret having Screamin Mimi’s, even when it’s insanely busy, it is completely worth the wait!

Remember the feeling when you were a kid and you heard the sound of the ice cream man rolling into your neighborhood… the sheer joy you felt inside as you knew ICECREAMWASHEADINGYOURWAY, WELLGETREADYTOBE10AGAIN! This is the holy grail for any ice cream eater! Something for everyone, they let you taste before you order… their seasonal lavender ice cream is one of the best things to ever enter my mouth! Organic ice cream in a variety of unusual flavore… no plain vanilla and chocolate here. Your pay by the weight, not by the scoop, it’s not cheap, but well worth it. This is a small hippy dippy joint just as you enter Sebastopol from the east… If you like ice cream, and I know you do… this is your Mecca… you must and I mean you must visit at least once in your life… you will be back! Side note-this is the only 5 star rating I have written so far… In other words… GETYOUSOME!

Delicious ice cream! Fun place to get ice cream! It’s in a great location and you can walk to other near shops and hang out at the new by park! Feels like an old fashion ice cream establishment. Head in for a tasty treat by yourself or with your little ones! There’s a ton of flavors to choose from! Enjoy.

Not just a soda shop or ice cream parlor, but an institution among the locals, and a landmark where ______used to be in the old days for the natives. For the day trippers, a tradition and for the first time tourists, a surprise discovery in the middle of winter even.

This ice cream shop without doubt lives up to the hype and all of the awards it receives. Very easy to find, essentially spent the day in the Barlow and made a five minute stroll down the street to the ice cream shop. Immediately walked into a wonderful vanilla smell of fresh made waffle cones, I was already sold at this point might I add. Ordered a triple scoop of Mimi’s Holiday, Mimi’s Mud, and Cardamon. I would love to list the flavors from the Mimi’s, but each one had four to five different flavors within, but let me tell you, both were outstanding. All of the flavors mixed together were absolutely superb and in no way overpowering each other, but a perfect bliss of frozen goodness on a freezing day! I honestly wonder if I can justify a 30 minute drive every night for some great ice cream… things to think about. On a final note, please do not pass this up, regardless of the weather, it’s a must if you are in the area and are in the mood for some ice cream or sorbet.

Chuffing excellent ice cream. Being from Europe, I have had my fair exposure to good ice cream(Gelateria Fatamorgana in Rome and Gelateria Mos Eisley in Berlin immediately spring to mind). I tried the cassis and passion fruit sorbet and boy was it good. Both had a very pure flavour and the passion fruit one was one of the best(if not the best) I’ve had to date. The local strawberry and deep dark secret my girlfriend had were very good too. Local strawberry literally tasted like strawberries and the deep dark secret was super rich like dark chocolate should be but not overly so.

Magnolia ice cream is my fave brand from the Islands. Screaming Mimi’s is my fave ice cream place in this neck of the woods. My new fave flave is Pear. Of course Galaxy and Mimi’s Mud are always in the scoop! Soooooo goooood!

Get two flavors. + Mimi’s Mud — a must every time + Lemon coconut cookie, if available Ice cream is scooped and weighed; price is based on weight. Don’t be shy to ask for larger scoops; their scoops are modest, but they are always more than happy to make you a larger serving. Seasonal flavors have always been outstanding, as well as the consistently stocked«Mimi’s Mud.» The lemon ice cream(once it had coconut cookies added. .. insanely crave-able), set the bar high for artisanal ice cream. Mimi’s is a great spot to hit if you are in Sebastopol, and worth a late-night drive if you are in Santa Rosa or Rohnert Park.

So so good. Delightful atmosphere, amazing flavor and real milkshakes. Maybe the best I’ve ever had and I do love my milkshakes. You think Johnny Rockets or Rubys has a decent one? These will really give you an idea of real old school feeling and taste. The strawberry ice cream was tasty! Plenty of seating inside and outside. Open late! Nice service and friendly staff. A must if in the area.

Wow! What a great experience this place was. All the yummy ice cream is made there! A wonderful selection of flavors. You can mix and match the flavors of your choice. I chose Mimi’s mud & Lavender. Yes, a weird mix. But I had to have both! You can watch them make the waffle cones fresh on the spot! Their hot fudge is home made! So many wonderful perks about this place. There was about 15 people in front of us. But we got through the line and got our ice cream in under 5 minutes. We are definitely going back to this yummy place!

This place was tasty but organizationally it needs a little work. The owners and employees should take a visit to Ici in the East Bay to see how they manage the long lines and craziness of people trying to pick their flavors. It was so completely hectic and I couldn’t see any of the ice cream and/or feel comfortable once I got up there because people were leaning over me like crazy and there were crying kids wanting to see, I was just like, I’ll have a strawberry shake and get the heck out of here. Normally I would like to have some samples and order some of the unique flavors but the place was just too chaotic for that. Also, the gluten free cone wasn’t what I was hoping for. They aren’t fresh, but just out of the box. Such a let down. I likely won’t be back.

Tried Screamin’ Mimi’s with my family while visiting Sebastopol. Had heard great things and found out they make all of their ice cream in house. The location was easy to walk to and even though we walked I noticed there was lots of parking around and next door. Not sure if the lot next door is dedicated to their business. But I digress. The décor was very eclectic with space to sit inside and eat your treat if you want. The line wasn’t too long and they had plenty of help. One thing that was a little frustrating, we couldn’t all get samples at the same time from different people. If we were all paying together one person had to help us. I’m sure there’s a reason for that. I ended up getting Mimi’s Mud but everything I tried was good! They also charge based on weight so if you want one scoop of something and want a smaller scoop of another, not a big deal. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I got my first taste of Screamin Mimi’s about 20 years ago when my sister brought me out to Bodega Bay and since then I’ll make it a point to stop by whenever I’m in the area. They’ve been making great ice cream all this time with unique flavors that are using high quality, local ingredients. Really colorful and fun décor and friendly service as well. You pay by the ounce, so you literally get what you pay for. This time we got English toffee and vanilla swiss almond, both great flavors but not too adventurous. But I think that all the flavors are great, it’s tough to go wrong!

About 15 – 20 flavors. I had the chai– wife had the olive oil. Both were pretty good. The olive oil was surprisingly good I thought it would be gross. The oil made the ice cream extremely creamy. Give it a try. They do ice cream by the weight which I thought was a little odd but kinda nice price wise I guess. I usually get kiddie scoops because I’m not super into a ton of ice cream.

Screamin Mimi’s should be designated as a Sebastopol historical landmark because their ice cream is that good! Everything is made in-house here and that makes me happy. They win 5 stars from me for their originality of flavor selections. From Tahitian vanilla to cookies & cream(graham cracker), peppermint bark(seasonal), to their variety of fruit sorbets, there’s something here to please everyone. Sceaming Mimi always rotates their flavors on a regular basis so you will never be bored of a certain flavor. Personally for me, I love their sundaes. I feel they taste better than Ghiradelli’s Chocolate Sundaes. When you get thirsty, there’s a little water fountain and cups to drink water. The interior of this ice cream parlor is funky and bright and easy on the eyes. I can say for certain, this is beyond light years far better than Baskin Robbins.

Quirky little place that’s fun for all ages. There is definitely something here for everyone – on my stop in we ordered Raspberry Swirl, Mexican Chocolate and Raspberry Sorbet. All were good and their smallest portions satisfied my mighty sweet tooth. Service was fast and friendly. The décor is funky and cute. Seems to be busy even on an overcast day mid week!
