I’ve had good service in this store but lately it’s been lousy. The other day I went in and and the employees were using profanity with each other loud enough to be heard outside the store. It was like being in a locker room with 15 year olds. I felt uncomfortable and unwelcome as if my shopping was an inconvenience to them and like it was beneath them to help me or any other customer. Why would an owner hire people who have such little respect for the customers?

Always have had quick friendly service. I got good advice and service. The store is locally owned and will continue to provide those little pieces of electronics you can get no where else.

I would actually give 1 ½ stars… the ½ because the owner did, briefly, show some small customer service. The low rating is because of the very arrogant, condescending, patronizing treatment I received when I was trying to price out a large order that included a 3d printer. Even though I stated my background in computer and applied tech they acted like I was a child and were reluctant to sell me the items for fear they I wouldn’t be able to make them work. Very insulting and arrogant. To be fair, I have yet to meet a RS owner or manager who was much better. Very odd way of doing business. I chose to spend my $ 1000 + elsewhere.

Horrible customer service. Bought a 19.99 toy for my son. Item didn’t do what it advertised. Employee stated he was manager. He opened one from the shelf and it did the same thing. Obviously bogus toy. He refused to refund it even though it was with in all their return guidelines. I was shocked since they proved themselves that it was faulty. I asked him to speak to the owner about this. He went to back and said owner was eating lunch but agreed with him. I again said, being polite and respectful the whole time, that I would like to speak to owner myself. After many requests to speak to the owner the boy went to the back and came out again saying owner was busy and won’t come out. I left the other items we were going to purchase on the counter and left. Being an owner of a customer service business I find it hard to believe the owner was even there and that this employee with zero experience with customer service is driving his business away. Either that or e actual owner is lacking the same customer service. Either way, I am shocked. I live in Sebastopol and love to support our local businesses. Well, this one by far needs to be avoided. Left there and walked next door into Sebastopol Hardware. There we were treated with helpful employees who showed us right were the items we were going to purchase at radio shack were.

Don’t buy anything for Christmas here. We bought some earphones as a gift just before Christmas. Our receipt said absolutely nothing about a re-stocking fee. Brought them back within 10 days. The man ripped open the package and then charged us a re-stocking fee for a lousy $ 10.00 purchase. The manager never called us back either. Won’t ever shop there again. Lousy business, lousy service, lousy attitude period.
