Service was good, except for one person I suppose. I don’t need to name anyone. But if a staff member complains about guests and whatever they’ve done, they should probably do it in a more isolated place. I laughed but it still got on my nerves. But the overall cleanliness of the room and ambience was above average.

Six times I have checked into this Residence Inn and six times I will have checked out. 22 nights at this property over the last six weeks. I’ve stayed in a few different styles of rooms, including one week when I was upgraded to a double suite(Why? It’s just me!) and another week that I had a lake-view balcony. Actually, all of my rooms were lake view rather than parking lot view. The check-in couldn’t be nicer and the check-out folks who helped me change my reservation were also amazingly polite. Just a great staff. Most weeks, I leave the DND on the door but when I don’t the room cleaning staff does a great job of resetting the room, making the bed, laying out towels and basically making it the way that it’s supposed to me. The beds have been comfortable and the room has been spacious enough that I did not feel crowded. There were even a couple of times that I worked the whole day from here(conference calls for work) and it was just fine. Breakfast in the morning is decent with eggs, some sort of meat, bread for toasting, waffles, pastries, fruit, yogurt and cereals. The coffee is not terrific but it is consistent with other Marriott coffee I’ve had. You’ll do better brewing a fresh pot from the machine in your room. In the week, there is a free dinner too. Brats or chicken fajitas or something like that. Since this is an «extended stay» property, the rooms have a mini-kitchen which includes all the pots and pans and tableware you’ll need, a small range top and stove, microwave and a full sized refrigerator. The supermarket is barely a mile away and there is a small Mexican restaurant right next door. Internet works very well up until about 8PM and then it gets very slow. It is free and they do not have an «enhanced» network for Gold and Platinum elites. This is quite a nice property and I’ve enjoyed my time here.

This is my favorite residence inn in central Florida! The rooms are VERY clean and modern. They can offer foam or feather pillows and have wonderfully comfortable mattresses. I travel a lot for business and this one is hands down the best hotel in the area. Full size dishwasher, dishes and utensils, microwave, LG television(with working cable– no satellite), free wifi, free breakfast(6 – 9:30) and marble looking countertops are all part of the ensuite. The Paul Mitchell products are a nice touch and the towels and linens smell clean and are white! I like their standard of clean.(I stayed at the Marriott and Lakeland and the towels had a funny smell… cleanliness is top priority for me!) Staff are courteous. Desk staff are polite and professional, which is all I need, but if you like when staff will go above and beyond that will not the experience at this particular location so I couldn’t give the full 5 stars. However, the staff that work the breakfast counter in the morning are definitely customer service oriented… Maybe it is in the training or coaching or supervisor? Either way you will not be disappointed. Oh did I mention that they are pet friendly?! Nice selection of restaurants in the area from Olive Garden to a roadhouse BBQ place but my secret go to place is the Thai restaurant down the street– Boom! Good food and place to sleep! They do cute ‘mixers’ Monday — Wednesday and provide food drinks and treats to the guests! They definitely think of the details so don’t pass up the chance to come here if you ever visit Sebring.

Great hotel, late notice 9pm check in, ended up getting the last room after I had called numerous others in the area that were full. Received the studio room as a discount rate. The room was very nice and had a wonderful view of the lake. Breakfast was by far the best of any chain hotel! Highly recommend.

When I walk inside I have a studio apartment for two with a private lake view. Granted I did pay a little more than the standard room but I feel like it was worth it. A fisherman sits on the lake, the sun is blazing and it hits the water just right to give it a sparkle. That is what makes this stay a little different compared to the standard hotel. The room I have is updated and the couch looks like something I might actually want to buy. It’s clean and it has a ‘welcome home’ charm that you might have at a bed and breakfast. A few downfalls are that the lake attracts bugs even in the parking lot. The pool is within view of the lobby and other areas(missing privacy). There isn’t an open restaurant on site but they do offer free meals on various days(standard for Marriott Residence). The cable went out from time to time. The gym is tiny. On a side note, they have complimentary bikes for people to ride on. It’s in a commercial(grocery ect.) area but with nearby residential environment. Returnable: 100%

I am not one to freely throw up 5 stars. Sadly to say it’s not because I’m an evil guy, actually I guess that’s not sad to say, but it’s because hotels just NEVER seem to deserve 5 stars. This one however is an exception. I travel constantly for my job and most times I dread leaving home to stay in a place where you just know the sheets haven’t really been washed and some old lady’s 30 year old flea bag cat was sitting on that bed spread leaking all over the place. Then you get in the shower and it drizzles luke warm water on your head with so little pressure that you can’t wash out their cheap greasy low grade shampoo out of your hair. But don’t worry… there’s usually some hair in the drain you can use if you need extra. That is NOT this place. The second you walk in this hotel you realize it’s different. Most of the time you are greeted by the front desk person AND the manager. Always friendly and always helpful.(Keep in mind I’ve stayed her a few dozen times so when I say always it actually carries some weight) The lobby has plenty of tables and chairs for the morning breakfast, which is always hot, delicious and ready by 6am. It may be ready earlier than that, but I’m not getting up to see so let’s just say 6am. Here’s where it gets good… the first 5 times I walked into my hotel room at this place I yelled, «WOW!» Twice I scared people. Once a dog growled at me for yelling so loud. Oh, and they are pet friendly, but no old leaky cats.(Pretty sure it says that in their rules some place) Even their smallest room, the studio, is massive. You walk into a giant living room & kitchen with an office area & flat screen tv, full size refrigerator(I can’t even get the Hilton Express to give me a small mini fridge that cools below 50*), microwave, dishes, silverware, glasses, more dishes, dishwasher, popcorn, a popcorn bowl… Seriously! I thought the manager had the hots for me the first dozen times I got a room like this, but then I saw an old(er) dude with the same room and the truth sunk in. Granted I didn’t feel as special but it did make me realize what a great hotel this is. Now I’ll give you the ONLY downside, but follow it up with an upside that I’ve never seen before. The down side is their fitness center. It’s tiny and only has a couple items for cardio. It’s the kind of place you go into if you want to pretend you’re into fitness, but not if you actually are. On the bright side there is a local YMCA just down the road that gives free passes to guests of this hotel, and there’s a Golds Gym further down the street if you want to hear guys grunt and watch girls strut around, not that I’ve gone there or know that because I’m married to the most amazing wife in the world who also has a mean left cross. Now the upside… This place has a gas grill next to their swimming pool, oh yeah did I mention they have a swimming pool and a hot tub because they do, that is always clean and ready for guests to use. I can’t tell you how many steaks or chicken breasts I’ve grilled up on this thing. Actually I can… 7. Talk about a nice change from dropping $ 40 at a restaurant! Plus you get to eat in your room watching movies in your underwear. What could be better? Oh I’ll tell you… dinner for free!!! Yep that’s right. Tuesday — Friday, I think, they actually make dinner for you and it’s free to all the guests. No it’s not steak, but it’s always good and it’s free. Who else does that for you? Heck, even my own mother makes sure she has a list of crap I have to do if I ever stop by for dinner. Here you just eat and say thanks! So in conclusion… if you’re within 50 miles of this place you would be Coo Coo for Cocoa Puffs if you stayed anywhere else. By the way, after you check in make sure you go across the street and bring back some Ben & Jerry’s Ice-cream to toss in your freezer for when you finish that steak. It’s a great way to wrap up your day. That’s it for me. I’ll be back again on 2÷27÷14 and I’m looking forward to it already.

Since I travel quite often, I’ve stayed at many Residence Inn in various locations and candidly, none of them really were memorable in a good way. This one is an exception. First, it is a newly developed hotel. It is clean, carpets look new and the room décor is very new and modern. I was upgraded to a two bed suite and there are three flat screen TVs and very nice furniture. Best of all, the beds(most important to me) are awesome. Very comfortable and no huge indentation in the middle of the mattress that form via heavy usage(!!!). Lastly, the breakfast was like no other Residence Inns. It was actually edible and it was actually good! There were good healthy choices(oatmeal, cereal, fruit) or the grease(eggs, bacon, etc). during a race weekend, the rate jumps to $ 199 a night but during non-peak season, the rates are very reasonable. No need to pay higher rates at the Château or Inn by the Lakes. highly recommended.
