By far the worst Chinese food I ever had. Stale overpriced tasteless food. Stay away don’t waste your time or money.

If I could give this place negative stars I would. I ordered the chilli shrimp and first they came out with sweet and sour shrimp claiming it was chilli shrimp. And then when I told my server that this was the wrong order since chilli shrimp didn’t have pineapples like my dish had… she claimed that they changed up the menu and now it has pineapples which was total bs. Then after much discussion they finally decided that was indeed sweet and sour shrimp and got us the right dish. Horrible bland stale food. Also had the Kung pao shrimp which was equally horrendous. If you are looking for a place to eat in Sedona run away from this place… and 20 bucks a plate for this ridiculously disgusting food.

This restaurant likely saved my life. Seriously. After a business trip in Phoenix that left me suffering from heat exhaustion *just by going from my air-conditioned car to some air-conditioned buildings,* my housemate and I decided to do a side excursion to Sedona on our trip back home, deciding to stay the night as we were just too sick and tired to do much else. As we were traveling with the Very Large Dog, we knew we’d have to order something for delivery if we were going to eat at all. The staff at the Sedona Real Inn was very helpful and gave us a few menus for the places that deliver, including the menu for the Szechuan Restaurant. Knowing there was no way in Hell I could eat(or keep down) a pizza, and being so sick that I had gone directly to bed, we decided to order Chinese for delivery. I am so glad we did. Both my housemate and I ordered an egg roll appetizer, their vegetable soup to split(it was very large), and an order of sweet-and-sour chicken. OK, the sweet-and-sour chicken was his idea as neither of us knew what would be good, but we still feel we had an excellent order. I especially loved the vegetable soup, which I think should be called«healing soup» as its broth seemed to nourish me from inside out. I felt considerably better just by having a large helping of it. Truly, every part of this meal was delightful. Wish I could find a Chinese restaurant here in Colorado that was as good.

We stopped in for lunch after a couple hours in Red Rock State Park. I wasn’t expecting much, to be honest. But I was very pleased! The lunch specials give you a lot of food for the money. And they had real moo shu pork! With plum sauce and rice pancakes! I hadn’t had it in over 13 years. I just haven’t found a place near my home that has it, for whatever reason. It was awesome! No «mystery meat» bits. Everything tasted fresh. I wouldn’t hesitate to return here in the future.

This restaurant amazed me and the other two I was with because of how much better the Chinese dishes were compared to your typical carry out. Even the typical carry out Chinese is very good in my opinion. But the taste of the general tso’s chicken somehow reached another level of quality. Highly recommend for anybody in Sedona. The restaurant is set up well with plenty of space. No issue with wait staff.

If you’ve ever wanted to know how to get rich as an ethnic restaurant in a highly touristy area, look no further than Szechwan restaurant. This extremely clean and pristine restaurant serves very clean and pristine Chinese food. However, I find good Chinese food to be dirty and messy. This reminds me of another restaurant that’s popular in Arizona: PF Changs. Actually, I would rate Szechwan Restaurant a step above PF Changs for its portion size, great lighting and better food. Before going into the restaurant, our crew went to a hike to Sedona and I tried really hard to push them to eat at an Asian restaurant because I wanted to review it. After our hike, I argued for the CHiense restaurant but the Oak Creek Brewery and Grill won out. However, it seems lady luck was on my side as we trudged through an hour or so of Sedona traffic, the place was closed. So I suggested the Asian one and so we went. Taste Seafood Soup — A rich chowder with some vegetables. Had bits of chicken. It reminded me of clam chowder mixed with Chinese corn soup. Walnut Shrimp — Tastes pretty much like walnut shrimp. They«fill up» the dish with pineapple which I don’t see often. There was probably more pineapple than shrimp. The walnuts were very good, having a rustic powdery crunch than the standard glazed sugary crunch. Beef and Broccolli — Very standard, uses small, greener borccolli florets compared to most restaurants using bigger, lighter stalks. The sauce is very brown. Spicy Eggplant — Same as the broccoli. There was nothing necessarily bad about this dish but it wasn’t amazing. Lemon Chicken — Cut fillet style and drenched with sauce so the crunch disappeared. It was decent but too clean and not much«chicken» flavor. Black Bean Shrimp — Not bad. I think you need to order shrimp and seafood here if anything. The shrimp was succulent and if you’re ver had black bean spare ribs, the taste is very similar to that. Mapo Tofu — Firm tofu cubes in a brown, «hot sauce». It wasn’t very hot at all. I prefer my Mapo Tofu searing hot and with silken tofu but the American palette wins here. Plum Wine — A bottle of wine for $ 20.00. The color was a dark yellow and the taste was very sweet. Sushi — Though I did not eat the sushi, according to my friends, it was very good. Mango Ice Cream — Was very goode. The portion was a good size and the mango ice cream tasted like if you pureed pure mango and froze it. Ambiance You can tell this restaurant makes bank. The lanterns, the lions on the front, and the sleek and clean interior shows that these guys have a monopoly on Asian food here. This place mixes modern with traditional with once side having an amazingly fancy bar and the other side a wooden wall with those generic Chinese paintings on there. Our group of 11 sat in this small guest room which could hardly fit two tables in there. Though it seemed a bit cramped, we adjusted pretty well. It was cozy, but comfortable. Service Not the best service in the world. There were many times we had to really reach out and ask for things. I think their group has more priority catering towards individuals/couples rather than a bunch of rowdy kids. The waiters can be kind of forgetful and forgot a couple of dishes we had ordered on que, this tells me they really aren’t used to such big groups who know what they’re talking about, However, they were extremely nice and really took the time to pay us out individually. However, this method took forever due to some outdated credit card technology. Cost Our hungry Sedona group paid about $ 20 dollars a meal while some other people paid around $ 13.00 for an entrée. The prices weren’t bad for a place in Sedona. Selection This restaurant has a great selection of Chinese food, Sushi, and bar stuff including plum wine. Typically, towns that don’t have very many Asian options can take advantage of the situation by combining different Asian food. Since sushi is some popular, it makes sense that they would incorporate this in their menu. The sushi chefs who work there are Chinese as they spoke mandarin when preparing the food. There is something for everyone in this restaurant but as I keep on stressing, you won’t find something amazingly unique and authentic here and honestly, for the population that either lives or visits here, they probably aren’t looking for any authentic Asian food in Sedona. Overall You won’t necessarily find authentic Chinese food here but you will find a nice, comfortable place with decent Asian cuisine. The ambiance is what sold me on the restaurant as I did really feel like I was in a typical clean Chinese restaurant with a Sedona feel.

So yah, used eat24 to order 4rolls and fried rice with beef. We got the spicy tuna roll, golden shrimp tempura roll and the spider roll. It was 1 for 4 in the taste department. Par maybe sub par. I guess their dinners are where it’s at but as for sushi I would have tried something different.

The sushi was amazing and the hamachi was to die for! I was surprised that it was so fresh considering we are far from the coast.

I usually come here to have sushi. I enjoy sitting at the sushi bar and getting served there. They have some good lunch and sashimi combos. I really like that they don’t skimp on the sashimi by cutting it very thin,(a trick some other restaurants try). I appreciated that they let me substitute one kind of fish for another and I felt that the service was fine and the presentation was nice. I simply feel that sushi in the Verde Valley will never be awe inspiring.

The food was very authentic and flavorful. I especially enjoyed the honey walnut shrimp. Kinda confused by the fact that they serve both Chinese and Japanese food, but not bothered by it. The salmon nigiri, which I tried, doesn’t taste incredible, but it’s not inedible. Some of the waiters weren’t as friendly as they could be, but it’s the food that counts. Some of the garnishings are a little untraditional, but again I don’t mind.

This is the best Chinese food in the Sedona/Verde Valley. Beautiful clean interior, delicious food and friendly professional service. Lunch is our favorite, you get much more food for the price. Any entrée comes with choice of soup or salad, choice of rice, spring roll and crab rangoon for under $ 10.00 The best part is they don’t allow pets. Service dogs only. So many places now you can’t enjoy because everybody has to bring their dog with them everywhere.

Loved it. They are sitting on a gold mine here. There are not too many Chinese restaurants in the area but I am happy to report that their food is very good! I wasn’t sure what to expect considering we were in the high desert. The food reminded me of Hunan Homes in SF on Jackson. I’m glad to have made a reservation because the restaurant was full to capacity. Apparently, the week between Christmas and New Years in Sedona is a sold out event. Everywhere we went, the restaurants were full and reservations were needed. All the restaurants told us that this is a huge week for them. Vegetable soup for two — clap, clap! Fried rice with chicken, pork, shrimp and beef – clap, clap, clap! Crispy noodles on a sizzling platter with beef, chicken, shrimp – Clap, Clap, Clap!!! Chicken/broccoli in chef’s brown sauce – Clap, Clap, Clap! Something that irked me— we were not served Chinese utensils until we asked.(Chopsticks and soup spoons as well as serving utensils and sharing plates were absent.) A Chinese family walked in and they were supplied with these utensils without asking. Granted, I saw a lot of Sedona folk using forks etc. but hey, two white guys from SF know their way around Chinese restaurants! It’s the other way around in SF — you have to ask for a fork because you are automatically given chopsticks etc. Anyway, great food!

I was going to be in Sedona for the holidays and made sure to call ahead to make sure what restaurants would be open and to make reservations. I called a few weeks ahead for this. When we arrived on Christmas day for dinner this place was PACKED! I guess everyone in town was there because most places were closed. When we arrived the tables reserved for us were still in use, so it took about 10 minutes for them to get it ready after the family left. They accommodated all 10 of us in a little room with 2 tables. We ordered entrée style: Mongolian Beef, Hot and Sour Soup, Wonton Soup, Crispy noodles(not crispy at all), human chicken, kung pao chicken, sweet and sour chicken, green beans, etc. I believe that’s all we ordered. It was all delicious. Simple and easy Christmas dinner without the fuss of preparing a family meal. It was really a rave with my family and they were all thankful for my suggestion to eat there. By the time we left the place was emptying out. We didn’t notice they also had a sushi bar! Plenty of parking in the front lot and service was good.

Very disappointing food. Ordered classic Chinese dishes but the food was salty or not well prepared. The décor is full of Chinese furniture if you’re in the mood for an Asian ambiance. The staff were very friendly and the place was packed.

I went to Szechuan Restaurant on my way home from hospital with the intention of getting enough food to last me a couple of days. I ordered 2 orders of pork egg rolls, cheese wontons(crab rangoons) and pork fried dumplings with a dipping sauce. The pork egg rolls were great, still crispy and hot by the time I made it home. The cheese wontons(crab rangoons) were the best that I have ever had, and I have had alot! The pork fried dumplings along with their dipping sauce, were fantastic. The portions were generous. Unfortunately everything only lasted a day! I’m going to place a delivery order tomorrow evening for two orders of the cheese wontons and an entrée. I asked for lots of hot mustard and duck sauce. When I got home, I found that they gave me medium containers of sweet and sour sauce, hot mustard, duck sauce, teriyaki sauce and their wonderful dumpling dipping sauce, also a few packs of soy sauce. Usually when I ask for lots of hot mustard and duck sauce most places give me just a few packs of each or one small container of each. The restaurant was fairly busy. The décor is very nice. I love the huge amethyst geode, it is absolutely gorgeous! The staff is so nice! I was having issues walking and standing, so they let me check out while seated. They even brought me a glass of ice water while I rested up for the walk back to my car. If you want good chinese food in Sedona, look no further! Fantastic food, wonderful service, I will most definitely be going back and also ordering for deliveries often!

Location: it is located approximately 10 minutes from uptown Sedona next to a local supermarket. Parking is a tight and the restaurant location is a bit hard to find in the dark. Even though it was cold outside in the middle of November, it was a bit warm and stuffy in the inside. Other than that, there are plenty of tables to sit in and it is relatively clean and inviting. Service: service is great. Our waitress checked on our table often to make sure that we’ve got everything we needed. Unfortunately, She was unfamiliar with the menu. I tried asking her what their specialties are and she doesn’t have any suggestion for us. Food: we ordered lettuces wraps as an appetizer, ma Po tofu and orange chicken as entrees. The meat on the lettuce wraps was just ok with very little flavor. While I was worrying about what the main entrees would be like, the Ma Po tofu and orange chicken turns out great! Ma Po Tofu was super spicy and juicy with lots of tofu in it. As for the orange chicken, they are very generous with the chicken meat and very favorable. Rating: I was a bit disappointed that they do not have a Szechwan signature dish, steamed dumpling, on their menu. Hopefully they will include it some time in the future. I will come back again to have their Ma Po tofu again. Since this is the only Chinese restaurant I can find nearby uptown Sedona, I wish them the best and hope this restaurant will stick around.
