We always stop by Mesa grill for breakfast and dinner whenever we are in Sedona. We enjoy the views and the food is of great quality. Service is always friendly and efficient and they treat you like you are at home. I love the slab of ribs, they are enormous and is good for two. Love the corn and the beans that comes with the dinner. Definitely a must try and highly recommended.

We weren’t sitting next to a window so i can’t comment on views. But food is definitely FIVE-STAR! The food comes in really big portions. My friends ordered ribs and steak. They are sooo tasty! I ordered shrimp with cheese grits and it’s absolutely my favorite out of everything! The corn on the cob that comes as a side is also very good but we were too full to finish that. Either the chef or the food itself draws energy from the energy vortex here LOL

Great little restaurant with a great view. Had the eggplant spread to start. Awesome. Then on to the short ribs. Excellent. Eric our server was outstanding. Our first dinner here in Sedona. Great first start.

Had an early dinner and watched the sunset go down while the Cessnas flew in and the red rocks framed the view. The setting couldn’t have been more picturesque. EVERY option sounded delicious, we decided on the eggplant dip to start, light, fresh and flavorful, was served with beautifully sliced veggies(cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, olives… and cheese and pita) to spread on. Next was the pozole, very authentic tasting. I opted for the surf and turf appetizer of scallops and pork belly as my meal, they cooked it to perfection, I felt like I was sitting at the judges table of the TV show Top Chef, not only was the food flavorful, it was also beautifully plated. Eric our waiter was so attentive and quick, he offered suggestions that were exactly what our taste buds were in the mood for. It was a great dinning experience. Def a must try place while you’re in Sedona.

Thoroughly enjoyed the scenery, ambiance, and food. We’re vegetarian and both my wife and I were impressed with their quinoa salad and tempeh salad. Service was great, and the views from the patio are amazing whether your aviator or not. A pleasant find was the ability to order a bottle of the local yumbucha. This is a great place to try, especially if you’re staying in Sky Ranch Lodge like we are, or hiking around the Airport Loop Trail nearby.

Enjoyed a scrumptious eggs Benedict southwest and mimosas as the sun rise over the red rocks. Service excellent. Great spot.

This place finally has new owners. Went in December and food and service was outstanding… not anymore. Only 3 tables occupied and 5 waiters walking around. Took forever to get waited on. Waiter never brought out water I asked for and never refilled my coffee. Then he brought out the wrong meal. Got up and left. So sorry to see it go downhill as Sedona is a beautiful place to fly into. If there was less than a 1 star rating they would get it. Just can’t figure this place out. Had a great waitress and food was excellent today. No consistency.

Food was great. Price was reasonable. But our waitress was awful. She forgot my mimosa :(

We have enjoyed the atmosphere and the meals during past visits but today’s visit was unacceptable. We were greeted by a young tall Asian male who refused to seat us at any table that had more than two seats providing limited table space. He explained his reasoning as… another customer with additional people may arrive. It was 3 o’clock in the afternoon and we were the only customers in the place. The day before we had no difficulties being seating under the same conditions. We excused ourselves and departed. It is going to be sometime before we revisit this location.

The first day we went we had a very nice waiter. An older man. He so helpful. The food is very tasty. The next day, on New Year’s day we had the unfortunate service by Karla L. Not helpful at all and when asked suggestions, she gave no answers. Almost like she never ate their food or cared less about us. The food does take a very long time. My hash Brisket was salty. She definitely went out of her way to say I was the first to say that. Which I’m from Los Angeles and travel the world and eat out at the hottest, hippest and tastiest restaurants. So seriously … she came off very Rude and Not educated in food. Well … we won’t be coming back.

The food was delicious. Pancakes were soft and fluffy; the egg dishes featured tasty items like beef hash, onions, cotija cheese. The prices were a bit high, but that’s not what this song’s about. It’s a song about Alice… Anyway, the food took quite a while to come out, and the brusque waitstaff was not very helpful. The situation became worse when we politely asked to split the bill, and the waitstaff said curtly«We are too busy, we cannot help you.» Then, after them being too busy to help us with our request, they added a gratuity even though the table had not very many patrons at it. Granted, the manager did give us an adjustment to the bill and apologize about the behavior. However, this was not really the way that people should provide service. So in summary, I remove a star for the service, but the food is decent.

I visited there recently with my wife, not sure what to expect with the mixed reviews but have to admit by the time we left we were both very happy with coming by. We came right before the sunset and were sat immediately right next to the huge Windows and let me just start by saying that the view here was incredible! We both ordered a few cocktails off the menu and my favorite was the ‘elixir of life’. I happen to like gin so really enjoyed this drink. It was cool and refreshing and felt really good after a day of hiking. As for the food, we were initially going to just order an appetizer and drinks but the duck lettuce wraps came and they were so good we decided to stay for dinner. My wife ordered the Pollo Asado and I ordered the Snapper. My wife is still talking about her good her chicken and corn fritters were. My snapper had just the right amount of sweet and savory and definitely something I will order again if I make it back to Sedona.

The Mesa Grill has an interesting location in that it housed in a structure right off of the tarmac of the Sedona Airport. Don’t worry… It is only small planes and helicopters that fly in and out of the Sedona Airport so you will not be disturbed by a major jet or a private Learjet disturbing your meal. Getting there is easy, just drive up Airport Road, past the Vortex, follow it to the end, and there you are. There is ampule parking in a large public parking lot. Inside, the restaurant is very nice. Walking up to it you kind of expect it to be a coffee shop vibe, but it is much more. The tables are well-spaced, and the atmosphere, though flanked by the airport, is more-or-less upscale. In terms of services and food, they are both pretty good. The cuisine is basically Americana with a bit of a chef’s flare. Though not spectacular, it is pretty good. As the years have progressed and Sedona has become more-and-more popular as a tourist destination, a lot of restaurants have opened. Some have come and gone while others have remained. Though not on one of the two main Sedona thoroughfares, this restaurant is nicely situated, easy to get to, and is a good place to eat for a bit of an interesting and affordable meal.

Stumbled upon the restaurant after a hike, got there in time for lunch and happy hour. Great cocktail menu with lots to choose from, wine, beer, sangria, well drinks. I had the soft shell crab salad which was a huge whole crab amazingly prepared and just delectable with the seared watermelon. Soft shell crab is one of my favorites and this preparation is by far the best. The prices there are fair and reasonable for the quality you get. I then sat by the fire pit to watch the sunset over the valley… Breathtaking!!!

Their own website says happy hour 3 – 6, we arrive at 450 and are told sure but you have only 10 minutes. Hostess says oh our website is from our old owners and they are not honoring. Epic fail-so it would take someone 5 minutes to fix your web page! Thumbs down; we won’t be back.

Oh my, my! The most incredible appetizers and the view! Another hidden jewel for Sedona. The red snapper was out of this world… great customer service and the view of the sun setting on my favorite spot in Sedona… what a GREAT experience! I will go back… for sure!

On our drive from PHX to Sedona we were looking for a good spot for lunch, and our resort(Enchantment) recommended the Mesa Grill. I am so glad we checked this place out! The spa burger was so awesome: a juicy burger on top of spinach with grilled watermelon. Sounds crazy, but once you try it, you will wish every restaurant offered this! My husband enjoyed barbecued oysters and a french dip sandwich. The other great thing about this place is the views from the restaurant, and it’s proximity to nearby overlooks and trails.

I would take a date here… if I wanted to show off how much money I felt like using on food. Ordered the Colorado Red Trout(18.50) which came with spinach, green chili grits, corn chow-chow, caper butter sauce on the side. The plate also came with crispy trout chicharrón which I’m still having dreams about. Perfect fried fish skin that had my mouth watering. Love how conveniently close it was to the Sky Lodge and the lightning show from the window was perfect. Shrimp and Grits(22) is an overpriced treat! Loved the flavor. Huge portions!

What a wonderful spot as you feel as if you are on the top of the world. Wonderful viewing of all the rock formations from here and an excellent resting spot to come right before watching the magnificent sunset right across the street! How fun to see the airplanes flying in and taking off. Great menu with fair prices and good service. It would be a shame to come to Sedona without checking this place out! Chipotle Cesar salad was really delicious.

After a long morning of hiking up and around the airport mesa, we were starving. We had checked the mixed reviews for the Mesa Grill and decided to give it a shot. The Mesa Grill has everything going for them. Great views, good food and friendly service. You can see the red rocks from every seat in the restaurant. They also have outdoor patio seating but it was closed while we were there. Our server was polite and professional. He didn’t hover but made sure we had full glasses and everything we needed. As for food, I ordered the Mesa Dip and the hubby had the Pulled Pork both with french fries. We thought the pulled pork was OK. It had a lot of smoky flavor but it was missing something. However, the mesa dip was exceptional. Lots of flavor and the au jus wasn’t too salty. I could have eaten two of those sandwiches! We definitely recommend this place. Go and enjoy the food and views!
