Hampton Inn

We stayed at this hotel while visiting the Florida State Fair and this is one of the best Hampton Inn’s I’ve come across recently. We arrived almost at 10pm and Gio at the front desk was friendly, courteous and immediately took care of our check in. The lobby was spacious, clean and looked new and modern.
The room was comfortable and clean as was the bathroom. We had two queen size beds and I found these beds to be extremely comfortable. Our room had a large Samsung flat screen along with a microwave and mini fridge. The hotel offers a small outdoor pool but it was too cold outside to enjoy it.
This HI is located in Seffner which is practically in Tampa. It’s only about 5 minutes from the casino and the fairgrounds and the hotel offers a complimentary shuttle to and from the casino. Some reviewers have mentioned that the neighborhood is not so good and I completely disagree. It’s right off I-​4 and I found the surroundings to be safe, there’s nothing to indicate otherwise. There is a Bob Evans right next door in case you get hungry. The hotel offers free breakfast from 6am to 10pm for guests and even though the quality isn’t the best, it’s included in the price you pay for the room which for me is a plus. I will definitely consider this hotel on my next trip to Tampa.

Solid Hilton property. Room was clean. Bed comfy. Only thing keeping it from five stars were the staff. Sadly, the I don’t give a Sh-​t attitude of the American worker. Breakfast opens at 6 am. I get it. However, they were clearly ready before and we were pressed for time as we were attending a meet a few exits up the highway. Understanding employees would let us in a few minutes early. When I asked I got the typical American attitude. I would not tolerate this type of worker if it were my business. Aside from the laissez fair attitude, a solid place.
We would stay here again despite our interaction with staff. We are Hilton Honors folks and generally have good experiences and find good value.
