This venue is spectacular, definitely a diamond in the rough. The ambience is perfect and supported by the 5 star staff and food. The menu is unparalleled in Seguin and the servers are top notch. They are very attentive yet not overbearing, very formal and well trained in fine dining etiquette. My favorite dish so far has been their signature 24 oz bone-in ribeye dubbed the Cowboy Steak. I always have it special ordered, topped with jumbo lump crab meat, a wonderful Bearnaise, and a side of grilled asparagus paired with an exemplary full bodied bottle of Cyrus. If you love fine dining, then the Chop house is not only the best, but the only option when dining in Seguin.

Birthday dinner here was delish. We started with crab cakes. They were some of the best we’ve ever had. Lots of white crab meat, pan fried to perfection. My son had the mixed grill and he loved the duck sausage and the lamb chops. I really liked his wild rice with cranberries. I had the Petrale Sole, but they only had trout, not sole. It was good. It came over a bed of spaghetti and was stuffed with lobster, shrimp, arugala and some other goodies, with a creamy sauce over it. Don’t get me wrong, it was good, but it didn’t leave my mouth watering. Maybe because I had arrived wanting the Sole, and it was the one thing they didn’t have? It was a huge portion. I had leftovers the next day and the flavors had improved greatly.

Good food ! Need to take the charcuterie plate off the menu. The selection of meat and cheeses left a lot to be desired

A wonderful historic venue just opened. We had Sunday brunch buffet there and I found everything to be exceptional. Oh, maybe they were a bit too quick to remove dishes, but really the service was remarkable considering it was their fourth day in business. The buffet was beautiful with salmon medium rare just like I like it and a great sauce. The beef was great as well. The vegetables and the bread were very good too – the acid test of a top notch restaurant. The dessert table offered five or more choices – one of which was the best pecan pie I ever ate. I had to pinch myself to see if we were still in Seguin. Clearly the best choice in town for a special occasion.
