We went here for dinner having been here previously for 2 different weddings. Heard a lot of great reviews from family and friends. However we were not very impressed. The décor service and location are very nice. The food was just ok. I had the fish tacos and my wife had a seafood pasta dish. My meal was ok but for $ 10 there were only two tacos. Not to mention the fish was not fresh. Not to mention they were very skimpy on the condiments for the tacos. My wife complained that her pasta lacked flavor. I had much higher expectations considering the weddings we attended the food was delicious and our family and friends raved about the food.

4 of us went to the Cove for happy hour and sandwich specials. We had to sit at the bar to take advantage of the happy hour appetizers. there were only about 4 others in the whole restaurant. We couldn’t put in our order for ½ price sandwiches until 4pm; it was 3:55. 5 minutes; really? So we waited to order — we were OK with that– no problem. Food: those who got mussels loved them but when my husband asked for a piece of bread of a roll for the juice, he was told they couldn’t give(or sell) any to him. He kept his bowl and used part of the roll that his sandwich was on. The old bay wings were good but my friend would have liked celery to go with the ranch dressing. Crab cakes were just OK. Not bad but not the best I’ve had. The pulled pork was very good. Service was so-so. We had to ask for refills on drinks even though the bartender(who was very friendly) was standing right in front of us. Not taken into consideration in my review and rating: a Bayside owners event was held at the restaurant 2 days before this visit which was a disaster. Not enough food or servers even though they knew exactly how many were going to be there. The young girl who was the manager had no idea what to do or how to «fix» the problems and was panicking. Many left early. I don’t know who planned the event or was responsible but I sure hope the Cove finds people to work there who can plan successful events.

Have gone to happy hour a couple of times. Drinks are good. Prices are OK. Great views. This is a beautiful place. Last time had to send Mussels back because they were extremely gritty. No problems. Bartender very apologetic and, of course, took it off the check.

We go to the Cove all year around and the last two visits were very bad. The first time the food was not cooked correctly, and cold, plus undercooked sweet potato fries, stale chips and warm up Quest Dip. Then tonight we go in and it’s a limited menu because of an event, no dinner menu was offered because of the event. The bar rending staff was not the regular ones and apparently they were just trained. Also ordering drinks they only carry the top shelf that they think taste good. So I guess we will rethink about going some place else for the rest of the year. Because obviously that this restaurant only cares about the tourists.

Very very disappointing from the moment we arrived. This is for the Sunday brunch. We have been there for drinks and dinner several times in the past and have always enjoyed ourselves. Unfortunately, there is much to be desired for their Sunday brunch. Here is the good, the bad and the ugly. The hostess was clueless on where to seat us — even though ½ the restaurant was empty. It took 15 minutes for our waitress to come ask us for our drink order — even though the restaurant was ½ empty. Most of the waiters and waitresses seemed to be mindlessly wandering. The food was below average. Coffee was lukewarm and weak. We asked for a new pot of coffee, and unfortunately, even though it was hot, it was still weak. We were not asked if we needed cream/milk with our coffee. Since our waitress did not come back, I had to go find cream at one of the servers station. The best part of the brunch experience was the omelette station cook. Even though the omelette station was awful — the pots kept sticking and you couldn’t cook a proper egg. The omelette cook was very helpful, and really tried hard to do his best. We will go back for drinks and for dinner, but, not to the Sunday brunch. Very very disappointing.

Glad to discover this bar and restaurant at Bayside. All the same great food as the other SoDel Concepts restaurants in a golf resort atmosphere. Beautiful view. Great happy hour deals.

We have been to The Cove for happy hour twice this week, and it has been outstanding. The mussels, deviled eggs, wings(Old Bay and Sticky Asian), and fish tacos are excellent. One of our party got the short rib sandwich from the regular menu and said it was TDF. The service has been excellent, with the staff pleasant, professional and food quickly served. Kyle was our sever last night and was great. I would give The Cove a 5-star rating except that the food and beverage service at the Cove has been on a bit of a roller coaster ride the past couple of years. Inconsistencies have been the norm. SoDel Concepts has taken over management of the food and beverage at the Cove, so that should bring some stability, as their reputation and products are outstanding. Hopefully our positive experiences will continue as well delve into the main menu at The Cove, and I can amend this review with 5-stars.

Their Sunday Brunch is excellent. $ 15 per person with omelet station, pancake station and a variety of cold and hot items, including all the steamed shrimp you can eat. Bloody Marys and Memosa s are extra at the fully stocked bar.
