Hands down the best seafood restaurant in the area. The scallops and grits might be the best meal I have ever eaten. Also the shrip tacos are out of this world. Great service and a beautiful clean restaurant. We absolutely love this place

Expensive. Food is highlight, although do not order chicken wings they are served whole not separated like at most restaurants. Good luck getting a decent table, they sat us next to stairs at the front of the restaurant. It felt like someone would bump into us the entire meal.

We went out for a family dinner and met a friend there as well. We tried a little bit of everything and it was all delicious! We tried the calamari, truffle fries, wings, and fried Gorgonzola gnocchi for appetizers, all so good! I think my favorite was the fried gnocchi because it was different and had a great taste. The truffle fries were awesome as well! My dad and I got the salmon dinner with the veggies that go with the sea scallops. They were out of this world! I loved the veggies! My husband got the crab cakes… Delicious! And my mom got the soft shell crab special, which was also so so good! The atmosphere is very family friendly and laid back. We loved it, highly recommend it, and will definitely be back again!

I have wanted to try this place for the last 2 years. Finally I had the chance to come here for lunch. The place is a nice white cloth fine dining with a local casual atmosphere. Service was very pleasant and friendly. Lunch menu was a very simple one page menu. It offered 4 – 5 appetizers, 4 small plates and 6 – 8 lunch plates. I had the boom boom shrimp tacos and an order of the pancetta truffle bacon cheese fries. They were as delicious as they sound. The thing I like the best was the fact they had an open kitchen where you could watch your food being prepared.

Loved the calamari. Salmon was nice and crispy on the outside. Prices are average, but slightly high.

Excellent food and service! Probably the best meal I have had in this area, and we have been vacationing here for over 10 years. The crab bisque and calamari apps were delicious, and the fish and chips batter was so good! One of us got the halibut special, so fresh and flavorful! My scallops were perfectly seared. Being a foodie from NYC, I wasn’t sure what to expect but I was really impressed with the quality of the food here. Our waitress Chelsea was terrific as well, very attentive and even accommodated bringing my daughters dish earlier than ours(toddlers never like to wait!). Cannot recommend highly enough!

I’m a fan of the«hooked» restaurant Was here last week and the service and food selection could have been better, wanted the«shrimp Taco’s» but people in the place told me I had to go to the bar for them, then I want to the bar area and was told they only service these until 18:00. Grrrrr Why do they only serve these at certain times. Hooked and others say I can get these at any times of the day. overall I like this place, just not this location

Admittedly our favorite and most consistent restaurant in the north end of town. Always excellent and even better during the offseason when you can enjoy the 3 for $ 25 special most Friday nights. Our server was Steph who was excellent and has waited on us many times before. Yummy cocktails, the must order Calamari, butternut squash salad, and the grilled mahi and srirachi meatloaf for entrees were excellent. Closed out with fresh deserts and we left happy and full!

Overall: Great place for some fresh seafood and a casual spot for lunch or dinner. The good: The service was fantastic. Granted we were one of three tables, but we had a baby and they didn’t mind at all. Very attentive and kind. The food itself is good, but wasn’t mind blowing. A lot of fried options, but the fish itself was good. Great fries. Atmosphere is clean. The bad: Not a huge selection for lunch. Most options were fried for lunch. Atmosphere: 8⁄10 Service: 10⁄10 Food: 8⁄10

I eat out a lot and I am from DC and I had the best waitress ever in this restaurant. The service is awesome and the food quality is exceptional, but who made the decision to but the bar right in them idle of then dining room. I had to hear drunken idiots yelling at the tea at the bar throughout our entire meal. The food was amazing though which really makes up for the layout. I’ve been here 4 times and I will be coming back for years to come.

We found this place by accident. The hostess told us 40 minute wait at 9:30. But we had taken a hotel right across the street and didn’t feel like driving. We sat at the bar and Charlie the bartender turned out to be my new best friend. Poured me a glass of rye it took me two days to finish.(Confession: I stole the brandy glass and in fact finished it the next day) Ans so… 8 minutes into our«40 minute wait» we are seated for dinner. And once we ordered the argument ensued: was the tuna better than the scallops or the scallops better than the tuna? We will simply have to return to solve this conundrum. But alas the issue was left unresolved. Too tired to fight, we thanked the amazing Linda at the door(who must be one of the owners) and patted ourselves on the back for«picking» such a great place. Don’t miss this place. It’s got the combination of great people, great food, and a location just outside the megalopolis of Ocean City.

Fish tacos… excellent! Fries were crispy, just the right amount of oil. I’d skip the crab cakes, nothing special there. If you like spicy, try the Fenwick Breeze. The LocoRita was the best. We left full and happy.

Keeping it simple– go there, sit at the bar near the kitchen and watch the chef and staff make magic. Favorites: buttery and tender scallops! Amazing French toast bread pudding with hints of bacon and a cinnamon ice cream scoop to boot… or the basic fish and chips — not sure anything on the menu is a bad choice – Will be back

We came here based on 4.5 star rating on Unilocal.Very disappointed with both the food and service. First negative course was the appetizer, PEI mussels. They were unusually large and tough and tasted rather fishy. One of our party ordered a slow-roasted bbq pork entrée with fried oysters. He received a piece of pork belly instead of pulled pork or ribs that he expected. He couldn’t eat the highly fatty meat. Another person in our party ordered a wedge salad with chicken added. She expected a chicken breast but received a chicken thigh. She sent her meal back. The manager came out and said the restaurant doesn’t offer chicken breasts. The service was unacceptably slow. We waited more than a half-hour from the time we received our appetizer until the entrees arrived. These were unceremoniously dropped off by another waiter. Our waiter didn’t check on us or refill water glasses. One of our party finally took his glass to the bar for a refill. On our way out, our host stopped to politely tell the manager that we thought there were opportunities for improvement. Rather than apologizing for any issues we had with the food or service, he was dismissive and clearly not interested in customer feedback. Maybe he thought that Labor Day diners will leave this beach community for the season so aren’t worth the effort to please, but our host owns a home here. And he won’t be coming back.

Stopped by for a quick lunch following a long drive to the beach. While we enjoyed our meals, I can’t shake the feeling that the main draw here is the dinner menu. I had the fried oyster po’ boy, served with aioli on a toasted bun. Fries on the side came sprinkled with sea salt. The fried oysters here were very well done. Extremely moist, not chewy, and served hot off out of the fryer. Wish I could say the same for the fries, as they ran in to the all too common«been sitting under the heat lamp too long» problem. Unfortunately, the lunch menu is limited. I don’t think the appeal of Just Hooked comes from lunch, but I’ve gotta review the meal I ordered. I’ll definitely be back in the future to try out the dinner menu. Recommended with reservations. The main focus of Just Hooked seems to be the dinner menu, and while lunch isn’t bad, your choices on the menu are relatively few.

Modern restaurant with a homey feel. Our hostess and server we friendly and welcoming. We met the owner as she walked around the restaurant checking on guests. She interacted with our young children and made us feel like old friends. There was a nice selection of craft beer(draft and bottle). I ordered a stout, wife orders wine, happy with both. No pairings suggested. My wife ordered the Cobb salad and asked for no Blue cheese. They do not put any on. The Cobb was light and refreshing. Also ordered, fried green tomatoes with an aioli. Exactly what I wanted, well done. Finally, the crabcake. Huge delicious mound of crab, sitting in a light remoulade. Fingerling potatoes were the best I have tasted. DONOT make any changes to your preferences when ordering, they know what they are doing. High quality, appropriate pricing for fine dining(we wanted more than subs and pizza at the beach) great atmosphere and friendly staff. We had a great experience.

Very disappointing. We have visited several times before and have enjoyed the food and service, but both were average to bad last night. We were rushed through the meal as though we were at McDonalds, even though there was no one waiting and plenty of open tables. Entrée showing up as we took our last bite of appetizers. We eat pretty fast, so for some else they would probably still be on appetizers. About 25% of our calamari was a huge uncut piece. When we mentioned it to the waitress she neither appoligized nor seemed to care, explaining where on the squid it came from, totally missing the point. The tuna was a nice cut but the seasoning was lack luster. Shrimp and grits, the Shrimp was slightly over cooked. The grits, just ok. Everything was totally over power by the sauce, so it was hard to really taste anything. It was topped by chilli threads, which I can only describe by saying have you ever eaten food with a hair in it. That’s what a chilli thread feels like when you eat it. The chicken was Ok. All that and they has us in and out in under 30 mins, not exactly the experience we were looking for given the price.

The food here is delicious! Although the menu looks strikingly similar to their sister restaurant(Off the Hook), the food at this location is far superior. We had the calamari, caesar salad, fried green tomatoes, and the tuna entrée. Everything was fantastic. My only issue is that it isn’t a well ventilated space(I reeked of bacon for hours afterwards; to be noted: I don’t eat bacon). Also, on summer weekends, plan for a considerable wait.

I was in town during the week and they have specials, we went in for Ladies Night. We started with some wine and ordered the Combination fried seafood appetizer. The Calamari is so tender– a small bowl but enough for 2 people. The sea scallops are divided in half then fried, cooked to perfection(4). Pretty good size large shrimp too(4). My entrée was the Fish & Chips — was cod or haddock but thick pieces(3) tender and a very light batter. Served with Cut potato fries. We had some of their fresh made bread which was drizzled with olive oil — it was so good! I will be back many more times !! Staff were locals and very friendly. The quality of the food, the awesome flavor makes you want to try all the dishes !! I’m Hooked!
