Sesame is a well kept secret Food is exceptionally fresh, reasonably priced and consistently good. I’ve eaten here for years never have I been disappointed .Ray and his family are very accommodating and friendly. Never a bad meal and I’ve eaten there 100s of times. Whoever has posted a bad review obviously doesn’t know sushi.

My only complaint is the service. Waitress rarely comes around for refills(and when you’re someone like me who is generous with their wasabi, I need lots of water!) Other than that, I love it. Nice and quiet. It’s made my boyfriend a sushi lover(finally!)

Love sesame corner. I’ve Been going there for over 2 years. We do Thursday night girls nights there. The sushi is delicious and mine has always been fresh, the soy beans are amazing and you have to finish your meal with green tea ice cream! No negative except service is sometime slow but they are extremely friendly:)

I should start by clarifying that I do enjoy Sesame Corner’s food. However, the service and delivery is awful. My boyfriend will no longer order delivery after two terrible experiences. We had ordered from Sesame a few times and initially did not have any issues. Then the disappointing service started. Our first disappointment came with over a two hour wait for delivery. We were told that our food would be delivered on 30 – 45 minutes. After 1 hour we called and we were told it was on it’s way(we live ten minutes from the restaurant). After 20 minutes we called again. Same response. During the fourth phone call our food arrived. After much debate they agreed to give us a 10% discount. It took much convincing from me to have my boyfriend order from this establishment again. But, he folded because I wanted Sushi. Again, time went by with numerous phone calls and no food being delivered. Over two hours passed before delivery. My boyfriend was on the phone with the restaurant while the food was delivered. No effort was made to make up for the wait time, and by this point the thought of paying for food that was ordered over two hours ago was inconceivable. The food was sent back. So being that I am no longer allowed to order Sesame to my home, as my boyfriend will never do this again, I ordered from work. I first called to ensure that they would deliver to Medford. I checked prior to calling and my office is the exact same distance to the restaurant as is my home. I was told that if my order was $ 30 they would deliver. I then spent the time collecting orders from my coworkers and the tab was over $ 30. I called back to place my order and was then told that they would not deliver it to us. I was informed that the women I had previously spoke with«did not speak good English» and must not have understood what I was asking. I explained my previous experiences with there delivery and expressed my disappointment with being assured they would deliver to our office, taking the time out of my day to collect all orders, and then being told that they would not deliver. There was no effort made to correct this or to keep me as a customer. Although the food is good, I will never order again. I have also dined at the restaurant itself, but these experiences will forever keep me from going back. I will also stop recommending this establishment to others as well.

Stopped in tonight for take out — we are not from the area and relied in Unilocal to choose a sushi place. Not impressed. In the future I will drive out of my way to get good sushi. The sushi was mushy and warm :/not my idea of good. The place looked clean and friendly just did not like the food.

I love this place! My boyfriend and I come here nearly every week for sushi. It is always fresh and delicious. The prices are fair and the food comes out pretty quickly. We even enjoy the atmosphere and lighting. I highly recommend their out of control roll! It is our favorite!

Looks: Clean, homey, well lit. Service: I’ve been here a few times, and for the most part the servers are friendly. Even the chef at the sushi bar gave my friend and I a warm greeting. Food: Really good. I totally recommend the Fried Oysters(Kaki Fried) Get the lunch special bento boxes, it’s a Korean fusion, and their bulgogi isn’t half bad. I’ve also tried some of their sushi. I tried the Golden Dragon Roll, Fried Salmon w/Avocado and Mango on top like dragon scales. Delicious. I’ve been here plenty of times, they do their thing.

High quality food with large portions and a comfortable, relaxing atmosphere. The fish is excellent, and the presentation is aesthetically pleasing. A great relief in an area that is essentially an Asian food desert. The staff are also attentive and friendly.

I took the family out to Sesame last night and the only word I can use to describe the experience is amazing! My wife and I had the box dinners and they were delicious. The beef was tender, the tempura was light and flavorful and the California rolls were delicious. We also had the dumplings and they were excellent as well. What a great find this restaurant is!

I’ve been coming here for years, and the place has not changed one bit; simply put, in terms of value and quality, this might be the best sushi place on Long Island. Good atmosphere, prompt service, fresh fish, never had a bad experience or issues with my order. Unlike many sushi places, they have booths with cushions to sit on tucked into cozy corners which is honestly very telling as to how your experience will be. Table seating is plentiful and the place is rarely busy. There are paper mâché lanterns and a fish tank, and you can see the main sushi preparation area from anywhere in the restaurant. The maki rolls are superb. Good size pieces, very filling. Nigiri pieces are also bigger than most places. Bento boxes are a very good value and diverse. If you order takeout, as I’ve done well over a dozen time, expect a 10-minute wait tops. Yes, they deliver. Though located in a small shopping center on Middle Country Road, kind of in the middle of nowhere, this place is a real hidden gem. Two thumbs up!

We’ve been going here for years and have never been disappointed. The sushi is consistently good quality although not particularly«fancy». The spicy crunchy salmon roll actually has chunks of salmon, as opposed to most places which use a salmon paste. The sesame dressing which they use on their salad is excellent, much better than the usual ginger dressing most places use. The waitresses and sushi chefs are always friendly although not effusive or intrusive; they will never rush you. The prices are also excellent. We usually spend $ 40 or less on sushi dinner for two. If you are looking for good quality sushi but nothing too elaborate, this is your place.

I have come here on a number of occasions, generously giving them a chance to redeem themselves, but the place is horrible. I don’t know how they stay in business. The Sashimi is never fresh and has left me never wanting to have it again, anywhere. My friend had bones in their fish and something crunchy in the miso soup. Service was slow and the place wasn’t even busy. Adding it to my extensive list of Long Island restaurant gripes. I’m only to blame… Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice(or more) shame on me.

Came here for dinner and decided to take seats at the sushi bar. We had: 1) Cucumber & Squid Salad — It was okay. The sauce was a little watery. 2) Sushi & Sashimi Combo — It was okay. The variety of fish was a little boring. The rolls were a little mushy & misshapen. If it were just for these things, then whatever. Maybe we ordered the wrong thing or maybe it was an off-night, and I would have given them another chance. But top this with inattentive & straight-up unwelcoming wait staff, and that means I won’t be back. Usually when you sit at the sushi bar, you expect to interact a little with the sushi chef and have fun watching him prepare the sushi. –Not here. I don’t think the sushi chef even looked at us once, and watching him make the food actually made me not want to eat it. The waitress also never took our drink order. We had to flag her down for water & green tea, and she never came by to ask how everything was, or if we needed anything else. My first impression of this restaurant was bad as well. The first thing we saw when we walked in was the owner’s children coloring and doing their homework at the front table. Wtheck? Is this a restaurant or a day care? No thank you. There is so much better sushi in the area.

I was really jonesing for some sushi and I saw Sesame. Went in and I was pleasantly surprised. You would never know how much room is in the place from your view of the outside. Staff were pleasant, and I wanted to stay and hang out, but I couldn’t so I got take out. WHAT an awesome dinner I had. Soup, salad came with take-out sushi/sashimi combo, VERY generous portions, and for less than I’ve usually paid. I really enjoyed my experience at Sesame, and I will be back!

Located next to the batting cages, this place is easy to pass. Its located in a small strip. This is a Japanese and Korean cuisine. If you are looking to get your moneys worth, give it a try. They offer 6 different dinner boxes. I usually get box 2, beef negimaki. It comes with 6 pieces of negimaki, salad, miso, shimp shumai, choice of one of 8 rolls,(common), asst sashimi, and a kani salad. All this for $ 16. Sushi is decent enough. It is fresh and Its better then the buffet at least. The beef is tender and of good flavor. I bring people there all the time and they enjoy it as well. Service is questionable, they tend to be a little slow, waiting for at least 15 minutes for a waitress after being seated. Take out is slow as well. Phoned in a order for 3, and was told 15 minutes, and waited an additional 20 minutes after getting there. They offer delivery, have not tried it yet. I have been going here for a while, and it is my favorite hole in the wall. Just recently added to Unilocal,so will be checking in a bit.
