The base Commissary is like a civilian grocery store, except is it on base and restricted to military personnel. It is a self-sustaining not-for-profit agency which completely pays it’s own way. Therefore, it is not a ‘perk’ given to the military, but rather a benefit provided to those who serve, and have served, in the Armed Forces. This store is a bit over 10 years old, but it is always clean and bright, both inside and out. The prices are reduced from those outside the base, so it saves us military vets considerable money to shop here. They also accept manufacturers coupons, allowing military veterans to leverage their spending power and get just a little more for their money. The Unilocal app asked if they have valet service here — no they don’t.

One of the smaller commissaries I’ve ever shopped at, the good news is I’ve never seen a line here(haven’t stopped in for payday shopping though). Easy to get to, easy to navigate, easy check out line, and out you go! A little out of the way for me(30 min drive) for daily or weekly shopping, but a great place to stop to stock up on staples once a month. Part of my shopping rotation!
