I love eating and dining here. Their sandwiches are some of the best I’ve tried… honestly. The people are friendly, courteous, polite, super accommodating and always very welcoming. My favorite things to eat here are the fried ham sandwich, the lemon peppered chicken sandwich, and their old fashioned breakfast! Nothing beats Texas food and Texas culture! Go Cheryl’s Diner!

We eat here at least once a week for our lunch break and order ahead of time to avoid waiting time. Every item we’ve tried on the menu has not disappointed ! Money well spent. The staff is always very, very sweet. If you’re looking for a nice small town diner along with some southern hospitality this is the place to go!

No fire exit!!! There is one door to get in and out of the entire establishment. If the kitchen was to catch fire you would have to get past the flaming kitchen in order to flee for your life through one door like everyone else. If a fire doesn’t kill you don’t worry the cockroach infestation will surely leave you sick enough for an extended hospital stay. If that doesn’t do it then the second hand smoke will. Pouring out of the back room and THEKITCHEN where the food is prepared. If you value your health and safety then cheryls diner is not the place for you.

My pregnant wife was craving breakfast foods one day. She called the order in ahead of time(as a civilized human would do) and when she went to pick it up she saw some cockroaches scurrying to and fro across the counter. When it was brought up to the staff they wrote it off as if the disgusting creatures belonged there and that there was something wrong with my wife. Not only is this place an ashtray of stupidity, it’s a hotbed of salmonella and other food born illnesses that should be placed on homeland security’s radar for terroristic threats to the greater good of America.

Let me tell you a little about my personal experience at this place. They NEVER have the things I want to eat. Every single time I order from there, they don’t have what I want. Second of all, they are never opened. They close whenever they want, and don’t stay open past 2. I tried three Saturday’s in a row, and they were«closed». One Saturday my two friends and I walk in, and they said they were no longer taking customers. We walked out and saw a buddy of ours and his grandmother. They walked in and THEYSERVEDTHEM. I guess it’s about who you know with that place huh? The pot holes are terrible, so getting in and out of this place is ridiculous. And finally the last time I really wanted to eat there, they screwed up my order. I have had it with this place! Not serving me, and my friends, and serving someone else was the most disrespectful action, I was very disappointed in this place. Not going back!

Cheryl’s may just have the best sort order cook in the West Texas Plains. I had steak and eggs, and my partner had the big breakfast. Everything that hit our table was cooked perfectly. I would love to have this place in my home town! The venue is a little divey, not unusual for a small business in a small town. The staff was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Ask for Cheryl and say hello when you visit, she is a delight!

Just what you’d expect in a tiny town, and more. If you’re looking for good, old-fashioned home cooking, this is the place. My favorite is the Friday fish buffet and the chicken-fried steak. The tea is great too! Just plain good!

Waited 15 minutes and the food came cold and greasy. Coffee was weak and tasteless. Disappointing at best. And the women’s bathroom had no lock while the parking lot had multiple potholes.

The chicken fried steak is terrific. It was served with the perfect amount of gravy. The included side salad was nice with romaine, tomatoes, cheese and purple onions.

Cobb salad was outstanding, and onion rings were thin, lightly coated and definitely homemade. Ice tea is served in BIG mason jars. and very refreshing. This small, down home place is hard to find because it is kind of set back from the road with a side entrance. Worth the effort

Came to this restaurant in the recommendation of an aunt that lives on this small town. They have friendly service and great home cooking. Good biscuits too. It’s always full locals. There aren’t many dining choices out here, so this little place is a gem.

This place was recommended by the mechanic at the airport when we flew in. He was right, great food, service and price. When we are back this is the place that we will return to.

Great daily specials. Try the meatloaf and Mac n cheese.
