Jiffy Lube

Poor enough for me to write a review. I have been here several times. This is the last. Upselling is all they know. I needed windshield wipers; they never caught that. They wanted to sell me better oil. They marked ‘vacuumed’, yet they didn’t. Get it together, people. Where is your PRIDE of workmanship? I won’t bother with the other silly stuff. They aren’t worth it.

If I could go lower than 1 star, I would! Don’t try to use their scam $ 19.99 coupon because they already have hand signs ready when you pull in as to why you should «upgrade». It’s all about making money with this scam outfit. They will try to upsell you on the oil to begin with and then talk about your other fluids. STAY AWAY.

DO NOT LET YOUR TEEN DAUGHTERS GET THEIR OIL CHANGED THERE!
I had gone to this Jiffy Lube multiple times for oil changes and when my daughter got her car, I told her to go there also. She tells me, albeit several weeks later, that while she was there, some of the guys flirted with her and she received a note from one of them, folded and stapled, that began «I know I am probably too old for you…» Definitely, they are TOO OLD and she is 17 and does not look like a 20 year old. When she told me about it, I contacted the establishment. I spoke to the «manager» Thomas Gordon who assured me that he was appalled by this and would check the video and get back with me ASAP. He did not. I had initially asked to speak with the owner and was told by the first employee that his name was Steve Allison (?) who lived in Georgia and they were not allowed to give out his contact info.
Needless to say, they did not contact me in order to let me know their findings on the video, which leads me to believe they are protecting someone or maybe even the manager was the one who did this. Anyway, unprofessional behavior to anyone at any age, however, someone knew better or they would not have started out the note in such a way. My daughter stated that she did not tell me immediately because she just decided she would never go back there again. I, however, feel that it is important to let others know that their TEEN DAUGHTERS SHOULD NOT BE GETTING OIL CHANGED AT JIFFY LUBE IN SEMINOLE, FL.

Corporate office sent me a $ 40 gift card in the mail for my troubles after I emailed them about the horrible service.

I don’t live in Florida but have been driving so much I needed an oil change. I googled oil change coupon and found a $ 20 off any jiffy lube in the area. That was the nearest location to me.
I usually go to my independent auto mechanic near me at home. I know most all these quick lube places seem to always find something you need to do. I know their tactics. So I was ready for that. They told me my power steering fluid was black and needed a flush. He quoted 99.99. I said no, and then he discounted it 15%. I still said no as I figured my guy at home could do it for less. He didn’t push me. He accepted the first no with no scare tactics like others here write about. I checked with my mechanic shop and they wanted just as much.
When done they laid down a red carpet to walk on to get back in my car. Its just a 2001 beater by now and hardly a red carpet car, but it was kind of cute they make an effort to make you feel good. Maybe all Jiffys do that now. I have no idea. They never used to. Or maybe its just this location doing what they can to win your business. I have no complaints here. I would go back when in the area and needing an oil change.

These are my guys! Whether I need an oil change, a top off or just ‘need to know what that sound is’ these are my go to guys.

Usually get my oil changed at my local mechanic, however went here once, and next time I went to my local mechanic, I was informed that they used the wrong oil filter on my car. They also used a shorter bolt.
Stole my bolt, and used a oil filter less than half the size of the proper one.
You’ve got to be an idiot to go to this place.

I have been going to this Jiffy Lube for years. The past few times I have gone they have been getting more and more pushy. The most recent time was the last straw. They use scare tactics to try to get you to upgrade products. The guy practically told me I would be lucky if my car started when I left if I didn’t pay $ 29.99 for an engine cleaning. On top of that they tried over and over to upsell me on the oil change to the $ 80 one, and this is after I told them that I was not currently working and really just needed to get my oil changed at the lowest cost as I was not in a position to spend any more than needed. I will never go back to this location. I feel as if they were trying to take advantage of a female, which I am sure they do all the time. Do not go to this location. Take your business elsewhere, you will be much happier with the service and respect.

So I bought a Groupon deal for $ 19.99 for a regular oil change. I understood that synthetic oil would be a bit of an upgrade. I took my SUV in and asked the guy how much it would be (I told him upfront that I had the Groupon deal which I paid $ 19.99 for but it was for a $ 39.99 oil change). He proceeded to tell me it would be $ 129.99 for the oil change but that I could deduct the $ 39.99 groupon value. So I would still be out of pocket $ 90 plus the $ 19.99 I already paid to Groupon. REALLY?! I told him,” I may be a woman but I do I have ‘stupid’ written on my forehead?! I called the Firestone dealership in California that has been doing my oil changes for the last 5 years. I asked them what kind of oil they gave me, how many quarts, and the price. The CA place said $ 35.99. I told him about the &129.99 and he told me that they are just trying to rip me off. I got out of my car and asked for a manager and he told me how much they hate groupons and how he would lower the price to $ 89.99. I was infuriated. I left, went to Firestone about 5 miles away in Largo and paid $ 32.99. Groupon credited me back my $ 19.99 since I will NEVER be going to this Jiffy Lube. Buyer and women beware… get your quotes before the work is done!

Just went for an oil change on my way home from work. When I went to pay, they handed me a list of things «wrong» with my car that was going to cost over $ 200 to get fixed. I had to take it into the dealership soon anyway, so I just said I would wait on it. Then the guy proceeded to tell me, «I would be SCARED to be driving your car right now. I would never drive it in that condition.» When I did take it to the dealership they told me there was NOTHING wrong with my car. And that is why I will absolutly never go back to this jiffy lube or any other for that matter. Typical people just trying to take advantage of a young female.
