We order out from here once or twice a month. Their shrimp lo mein is great! Between this restaurant and Lin’s Kitchen, go here for your Chinese food.

Great food and nice services! The dish size is just right. Price is affordable. We always have dinner there every time we visit Finger Lakes area.

Tonight was my first time here. Chinese restaurants are not my first choice as a rule, but tonight I decided to take my family there because they said they like Chinese food. I’ll have to admit it changed my opinion of Chinese restaurants. The atmosphere is great! Wood floors, brick walls and a painted tin ceiling made for a cozy inviting space in which to dine. The menu is extensive, but easy even for me to understand. I got the pork egg foo young along with won ton soup which was wonderful. Food was great, portions were great and the price was right. $ 12 for my meal with no dessert. I will definitely return. My 4 stars instead of 5 is because there is no alcohol. The bar in the restaurant is left over from the Italian restaurant that used to be in this space.

Our knowledge of Chinese food is pretty extensive. The food here is better than great. Try crab rangoon — very light and crisp

Too much salt. Too much sugar. Greasy. Wasn’t very impressed with the takeout. The staff was pleasant enough but I probably wouldn’t come back.

Spence and I ate here tonite. We were looking for a Chinese restaurant in the Finger Lakes area that was not just a take-out joint or a buffet. This place filled the bill, beautifully! The décor was very pleasant with no kitschy Chinese decorations, just beautiful brick walls, a tin ceiling, fine woodwork and high-quality furnishings. Did I mention that it was spotlessly clean??. As for the food, it was on par with anything we have eaten in Chinese restaurants in San Francisco or San Diego. We started out with Won ton Soup. It was very good with a strong broth, two large delicious won tons, green onions and slivers of pork. The spoon they provided for the soup was just right(a small but important detail). We followed that with boneless spareribs, a very large portion of bite-sized barbecue pork that we quickly devoured. For the main course, Spence had the Rock Chicken, a dish similar to General Tsao’s chicken but with a cheesy sauce(I have never seen a cheese dish served in a Chinese restaurant). I did not care for it, but Spencer loved it. I ordered the Chicken in Black Bean Sauce and really enjoyed it. This restaurant prepares it as a spicy dish and it had a nice bite to it. Both dishes were served with pork fried rice and an egg roll. I may be wrong but I think they give you a choice of fillings for both the friend rice and the egg roll(pork, chicken, shrimp). An unusual offering of this restaurant is a large selection of teas. The rest of the menu provides a wide variety of both standard American –Chinese Fare and authentic Chinese dishes(some with pickled cabbage). I like spicy Chinese food and this restaurant offers a lot of spicy dishes. One other thing… the service was excellent and very attentive without being intrusive. If you like good Chinese food, give this place your business. You won’t be disappointed.

Great good and friendly staff! We went during one of the many blizzards that hit Seneca Falls area and we didn’t want to drive back through the snow so they allowed us to enjoy our food in the restaurant even though they were clearly closing soon! Good quality Chinese take out and is now my go to for Chinese in Seneca falls!

I love Chinese food if it is fresh and well made. This restaurant gets high marks for both. The portions are generous and the wait staff are very accommodating and friendly. I like both the take out and eating in. I do wish they would play some soft music in the background though. It is kind of echo-ey if there are only a few people in the restaurant. Definitely one of our favorite places to eat with affordable prices. Keep up the good work folks!

I’m not terribly familiar with Chinese food, But this place is great. Quality atmosphere and generous portions. The menu even has a section of authentic dishes. The egg and shrimp was tasty. Waitress was very nice.

This place is hands down one of the best Chinese restaurants I have ever been to. In a town the size of seneca falls you don’t expect such a great ethnic restaurant. The food is fresh, quick and full of flavor! We have been here multiple times now and the food is always great! They also serve little fried chips to start your meal. But make sure to not fill up on them because your meal is still coming, and it will be fantastic!

I just returned from China after 12 years there. Happy Family actually has some real Chinese food! Try the jiao Zi(dumplings). Ask for the real Chinese food. Not the usual American food served in US Chinese food.

To start off on good note, the restaurant itself is well kept with service that is warm and friendly. I gave a rating of a 3 because of the interior. It is pleasing to the eye with floor to ceiling wood and bamboo centerpieces. The bar however at the entrance is unutilized and it looks it. The food served leaves a lot to be desired. It’s your ordinary Chinese food that is indistinguishable from entrée to entrée. I have been here a few times hoping to be surprised, but sadly left underwhelmed.

Really lovely place. The restaurant is nicely decorated and surprisingly large. The menu was pretty standard Chinese food. We wound up with two versions of bean curd and vegetables, both were great. Food was inexpensive for what we got, $ 8 a plate for dinner. Very happy indeed.

This Chinese restaurant was recently taken over by another happy family. The Lin’s, the founders, have moved onto bigger and better adventures such as tea farming and building across from the Waterloo Premium outlets. They will serve tea and eventually Dim Sum, I am told. Back to the Fall Street location. A few staff members remain, the waitress specifically. We ordered take out a week or so ago and quite simply, the food is not the same. Those light, fresh flavors, gone. Sticky sweet Chinese mass cooked and packaged in NYC then delivered to makeshift Chinese restaurants is now being served… mostly the same as the filthy dirty place across the street. We are sad. The new happy family is just not the same.

I drove up to Niagara Falls from Alabama on a motorcycle. I then started to ride around just looking. After arriving in Seneca Falls, I Googled and found this place. Very nice. Employees very nice. Some speak English better than others. Food was great. After a brief discussion, Rock Chicken(A lightly spicy chicken that is a bit sweeter than the sweet/sour chicken) was recommended and it was great. I got 2 additional dishes, one a vegetable and one crab. Overheard a hot discussion about the food quality while there. Seems the chef is very picky about having everything just right. The one complaint below probably didn’t try to get his dish the way he/she wanted. I have found that discussing with the employees what you like, you can usually get a Chinese dish the way you want. Limited street parking in front and small dedicated lot in rear. The décor does remind me of Italian restaurants as another reviewer stated. Several other restaurants on same street and this may be the reason none of them seemed very busy. If/when I return to this area, I’ll make a stop hear again.

I stopped here for lunch and it was wonderful. I love it that have a tea menu. The Szechuan Chicken was great and the lunch specials include a choice of soup. Service was excellent and the place is beautiful. I’ll be back.

We think this is the best chinese food in the entire finger lakes area. My family routinely drives over 30 minutes and past countless other chinese restaurants in order to dine here. The added bonus is the attentive staff and lovely décor.

There were 8 or 9 vegetarian dishes on the menu, as well as the usual extensive array of Chinese dishes. The Szechuan Vegetables and the General Tso Bean Curd that we had were delicious.
