John Wayne Marina is beautiful. Even if you don’t own a boat, it’s a lovely place to visit. We’ve had a boat in a slip for a year — and everything about the experience was great. We bought an annual ramp pass for our new boat — very cost-effective. Habormaster Ron does a beautiful job keeping the place in tip-top shape, is a prompt communicator, and is always super-friendly. Cannot imagine a sweeter marina experience!

Beautiful park-like setting. The grounds are clean and well maintained. I’m not a boater, but I’ve been to multiple marinas around the Seattle area — this is by far the nicest of the lot — it’s a great place to take a walk along the water. The views are great! Ample clean picnic tables scattered around the marina, along with easily accessed bathroom facilities. It would not be difficult to spend all day here — this is the best picnic spot we’ve found in the Sequim area. They do have a conference-center type facility here as well that is available to rent; from what we could see it’s basically a large room with some of the best views(and a large outdoor patio) overlooking the water.

I’m not a boater but this marina had lots of space for guests and open docks for all to fish. Lovely picnic areas and sights. Worth the stop.

This is a small, but thriving marina in a quiet, out-of-the way bay. We loved the well-maintained grounds, the facilities, the restaurant, and the public boat launch. John Wayne Marina is a beautiful place and I know we’ll be back!

I am always left in awe of the beaches on the Peninsula. They are so much more wild, quiet, unadulterated, and seem a lot cleaner than the beaches of Puget Sound. Still, contaminants find their way here somehow. It is sad to see the impact that man has on this wild place. We stopped here on our way to a weekend cabin trip outside of Joyce, WA. A pit stop intended to stretch our legs, I remember coming here as a small child. The beach here is littered with clam shells. Apparently clamming is not allowed this year due to pollution. The marina is extremely clean, well maintained, as are the restroom facilities. This is definitely a wonderful place for a picnic or some beach exploring. My nephew and I found a little baby dungeness crab and scooped him up with a shell and put him back into the ocean. My nephew, who is four, remarked«I’m going to miss that crab!» as we were leaving. Priceless.
