This restaurant truly deserves 5 stars! Wow what a great find in the middle of nowhere and so accommodating. I had just arrived in town to see my grandkids and wanted to take them all to somewhere nice for dinner in the Port Angeles area. I had driven by the sign on my way into town and decided to see if we could get seated although last minute. The waiter was so nice. We arrived right before they opened and he welcomed us. Even though I had small kids a 9 year old, 3 and 2 year old he wasn’t prejudice at all, gave us a great table and wonderful service. We all shared the calamari appetizer and it was absolutely delicious. Very light, fried to perfection and the sauce was really tasty. My 9 year old grandson even told the waiter to tell the chef how good it was! We also had the seafood bisque soup, I have traveled all over the world and this was the best so far that I have experienced. Very nice base and lots of seafood chunks. Tasty… We also ordered the kids pasta with marinara and the mac and cheese and chicken tenders for the kids. I have never seen them devour food like they did that night, all really enjoying their meals. My daughter in law and I each had the salmon salad which was amazing. Like I said, if you are looking for a really nice meal with a great view and great service, you can’t go wrong with Dockside Grill. We will be back every time we have a chance when we are in town. Kudos to the chef and staff. Sue Salyers

The best seafood around, and the view is to die for. The restaurant is cozy, warm, and relaxing. The fresh salmon is out of this world. Make sure to call ahead and reserve a table with a view of the marina to round out your experience!

We decided on Docksider’s for New Years Eve dinner. Excellent service, excellent wine list and excellent food. Our sever, Lance, was very helpful and engaging. He knows the wine and the menu. Please give this restaurant a chance next time. They are outstanding.

From the moment I walked in the restaurant and the staff were warm and welcoming. I had the rockfish special with lemon butter sauce and thr french onion soup. The soup was earthy and rich with a strong aroma and flavor of roasted garlic.

Across the board, this place is an absolute class act! We made a birthday reservation, and our hostess/waitress rewarded us with a super-friendly welcome and a beautiful window seat overlooking John Wayne Marina. But it’s really ALLABOUTTHEPEOPLE… and everyone who tended to our table was fabulous! Fun, friendly, helpful, perfect! These are the kind of people you are happy to visit on a regular basis! We had Mahi-Mahi tacos(from the Specials menu) which were hands-down the best taste and best quality in all our travels! «These are insanely good!» «More like a steaks than just pieces!» Even the rice was mouth-watering — unlike anything we’ve tasted! Others in our party were equally enthusiastic — «Not just good… this is incredible!» It’s clear that the talent in the kitchen mirrored that of the talent on the floor. We shared a dessert, and the Ooo’s & Ahhh’s continued! We’re new to Sequim, and this was our first visit. Already we’ve declared Dockside Grill our new Favorite Place for Lunch! So grateful for the beautiful experience!

a pal and i went for lunch, a while back and because he was working and could not partake of wine i only ordered 1 glass of house cab. lunch was adequate, nothing to write home bout and including the tip, it came to 78 bucks! for 2 average lunches and 1 glass of vino. where i come from, that is called re-@#$/^=ing-diculous. although i must award it a star i would rather give it a highwaymans mask.

I cannot overstate how awful our experience was at the dockside. Please hear me out. After making reservations, we were seated in an overflow area that didn’t seem to match the rest of the restaurant. That’s not the bad part. First of all, the waiter, Aaron, was ordering himself drinks behind the bar, and had obviously been drinking from the moment he started serving us. I wouldn’t personally have a problem if he had been doing an okay job, except that he was doing a terrible job serving us, and was an asshole. We were there almost 3 hours total due to slow and bad service, and it took over 90 minutes for the food to come out from the time we ordered. I would like to say the food was worth the wait, and two of our four orders were very good(ravioli and some sort of steak special). However, the shrimp salad was badly cooked, and the fettuccine could have been better if it was made from a box. Had it been 1⁄3 of the price and had a sober server who gave half a rat what we cared, I might have a better review. But it was honestly the most terribly disappointing experience I have had at any restaurant, and I really wanted it to be good. The busser was very friendly to us, and I hope he received a promotion since we were there(our waiter passed off much of his duty to him). I’m really not that picky about these sort of things, but this restaurant did everything it could to make itself shit. Please heed this if you’re still reading and avoid this place. Very disappointing.

The best meal in Washington. I would drive here from California just to try something else. The sauce on my lobster raviolis was excellent.

Small place right next to the water at John Wayne Marina, with very nice view. Service and food first rate. Seafood fettuccini, shrimp with grits, and crab casserole all very good. Fettuccini with clams overcooked, not al dente. A little noisy but not too bad. We’d return.

Wife and I just arrived in town and received a recommendation from a trusted colleague that this was the best place in town. CONFIRMED! We made a reservation and were promptly seated when we arrive… at the best table in the place… corner table with view of the marina. We started out with the Dungeness crab appetizer… simply delish. Quite rich, but when tamed with a bottle of Pinot, perfect. For the mains, I had the fish special, Halibut, which was perfectly cooked, although nothing special. But the pepper poblano that came with it was different, unexpected, and yummy(yes that is a technical review term!). Wife had the shrimp and grits and was pleased. I had them too, of course. Concur, they were tasty. Service was excellent. Will patronize this establishment upon our next visit.

My boyfriend and I just went here for Father’s Day lunch. The food was fantastic! Judo to the chef… The service on the other hand sucked. It was super slow. We sat in the back dinning room and the fire alarm was low on batteries and was squeaking the whole time we were there. Mind you it took a good hour to get our food. Me mentioned it to a few workers and one even asked what that noise was. Nothing was done to fix the situation. We were never brought our check and had to wait at the front desk for someone to help us. The place seemed very disorganized and needs a leader to make it stream line. We are giving it two stars one for the food and another for the location.

I was told to make reservations since the restaurant is very very small. All the tables face the water. It was so lovely city here at sunset. We ordered wine, champagne, and two pasta dishes. The pasta dishes came with a soup or a salad. The food was fair to medium, and the service was good. We opted to Share Dessert and the bill for two people was right around $ 100
