Aesthetics by Eva Renee

I am not a facial junkie; my visit was in March and just have the time to write a review for Aesthetics by Eva. Eva did extraction of my black heads that were more concentrated in my nose. Well, you know it made me cry but she did make up by making me feel relax. She massaged my shoulder, arms, and wrist. She does the massage very well. I like that she uses very good skin care products.

Not very personable, scheduling was extremely hard, and she talked on the phone while giving me a facial.

Kind of a hard location to find (it’s upstairs of a building). It accommodates one person at a time. Eva Renee is very nice and knowledgeable. I loved my facial and the blackhead removal is fantastic!
2 Days later– The skin on my face looks great! Loved it!

If in the past you have purchased a Groupon or Living Social in the past, don’t buy another one until consulting with Renee definitely beforehand to make sure she will accept it. I bought another Groupon with her and now it seems they can’t be for the same process. While I have been very happy with going to her, I’m confused because she encouraged myself and another client that had completed her process on my first visit that we could go to Groupon or Living Social and take advantage of the offerings she has. You can see that written in my first review of her services. She told us she hadn’t pulled the promotion down which I found strange because I guess I figure you would want to build a clientele and then make offerings once in awhile though your own email and not pay one of these services to do it for you. I’m not giving her a bad review with this update because I think she is great with what she does, however I’m totally confused and actually a little upset because of what was said during my first visit and I know I didn’t misunderstand because I wrote it in my review. It’s just so you don’t have to go through the trouble with Groupon.

Purchased the Groupon in June for a facial prior to my September wedding. Called in early August and after she called me back much later than she said she would she said ‚“it’s probably better if I tell you what appts I have available” she then proceeded to say she had NO appointments in August and 2 appointments in September left (in the middle day on weekdays). Keep in mind, this groupon expires in October. When I asked why it was so hard to get an appt she replied with, «when did you buy your groupon? well so did 1,000 other people.» Um, if you can’t handle the volume of requests you get from advertising on groupon maybe you should stop doing it. Not recommending to friends and family, and canceled my groupon.

Purchased a Living Social deal; it took months to get a Saturday appt for me and my friend, but that was ok after reading the reviews. I had a death in the family, the funeral was slated to be on the same day as the facial appointments so I called to inquire about her next availible appointments if I needed to cancel. She stated she was booked two months out, so I told her to leave the appointments as they were and I would call her back at the end of the day to let her know if I needed to cancel. I was not able to call her back until about 6pm, left a message confirming the appointments would not be canceled. She called back advising me SHE HAD CANCELLED the appointments and rebooked them with someone else!!! Eventually she agreed to honor the appts on Sunday, she agreed that I could follow up with her the next day to confirm the appts. Thats when she told me she would honor the appts at ⁸⁄₉ at NIGHT on a SUNDAY!!! I told her this was a mess, she told me get a refund and HUNG UP ON ME! I was never nasty with her; its a shame she has behaved like she did.

I love that this is a small business run by the small business owner herself, and that there aren’t a large number of people around. The space is somewhat small but very quiet, tranquil, and the perfect setting for a relaxing facial. So far I’ve had 2 facials with Eva Renee and I will never go anywhere else. She is so professional, knowledgeable about skincare, and makes you feel completely at ease and relaxed. On your first visit you will receive a somewhat in depth consultation where you can tell her about your skin concerns and she can give skincare recommendations and decide what facial and treatments should be done that day. Even if you buy a Groupon and it specifically says «Cranberry facial» or «Pumpkin facial» she will talk with you about your skin concerns and determine which facial is the best for you, so she can switch things up a bit. The facial itself is incredible! She’s really great at walking you through everything or lets you know what to expect before she begins (which was super helpful the first time I had a facial). As she is applying things to your face, she will let you know what she’s doing and makes sure that there is no discomfort if you have skin sensitivity. You also receive an amazing shoulder, neck, arm, and hand massage. All of the products that she uses smell amazing too!

CONS:
1. The first time I went, the place was a little tricky to find. It’s on the top floor of a small shopping complex and the door to reach the upstairs levels is on the left side of the building. Not a lot of signage to tell you where you’re going.
2. She fills up fast and is very busy! I think I scheduled my appointment at least a month in advance.

First time here — using a Groupon — WOW great facial & Renee is such a great person! so happy to have found her. Bought another 2 groupons as well! I did the C facial and wow — great!
